My i9100 needs 1D not multiple directions. - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My main reason for posting is because i have little or no other options left. I I have had difficulty with the I9100 over the course of the weekend and today i have been to six stooges who have each given conflicting information and different opinions from the USB being broken, to it needing to be flashed with an image file, to it needing to be soldered and re flashed and another wire being needed which would take a week to do, i have also had the suggestion that rift box would be a means to be fixed. All i want is clarity from a tried and tested community that knows what they are on about unlike a bunch of cowboys who prob have not got visas to work in the first place. This is what happened basically i decided to load an alien ware ROM which i flashed from clockwork mod my phone when in the state of loading it gets stuck on the galaxy boot loop, i can do nothing at this point to A) Try to load an ROM via clockwork mod which i have done but when i have gone into that mode the version of clockwork mod is 4.0.02 and not an higher touch version that i was previously on with ROM slim bean and 4.2.2 which was running like Usain Bolt backshotting Kim Kardashian, it does not let me select the SD i have tried another SD card with roms but still no joy in various different places, anything i do on clockwork mod it tells me that can mount the SD card. And phone is stuck on the galaxy S2 GT-I9100 bootup screen.
Now option B)
The only option i now have left as my phone is a brick and may be better off laying in a wall of ill fated smartphones than my pocket is to try and salvage any remains and use ODIN and flash siyah so i can have my phone up and running again to use for my business and courting needs. I plug the USB into the phone and my computer pops up in the corner USB device not recognized. I try and install the latest drivers, i update kies, i uninstall kies, Re-install update plug phone in still no luck. I try another 3 separate computers and still no luck, I am now out of ideas and considering buying out my contract and getting the s4 at an unreasonable price and admit fail. If i could salvage any hope from the last couple of days which have been a train wreck for my rooting career.
I wanted an opinion off people that know before i hand in my s2 to some cowboy to do and charge over the offs as well as invade my personal details then give my phone back on froyo.
If anyone can give me a glimmer of hope and clue it will make my week

Of course, you need any pc/laptop to see the revice first.

[Q] Is my phone bricked?

I was running AOKP m1 on my GT-i9100 (rooted with CWM Recovery).
Phone ran out of juice last night now won't boot, and recovery seems corrupted (won't boot into that now).
When I go into ODIN MODE the phone appears in ODIN ok, but fails to upload anything.
Do I need to get a USB jig to resolve this?

I suggest you first plug it in for an hour and then try booting into recovery.
If that doesn't help, take out the battery for two minutes and try again.
If u can get into recovery after this, do a full wipe (cache, dalvik and data) and reboot.
USB Jig just puts ur phone in Download mode mate. Since u already can get into that mode, just flashing via Odin will do.

I can't boot into recovery, I get the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I did wipe all cache when I could previously access recovery, but phone would not boot and since then will not boot recovery.
When I have tried to flash in ODIN no files seem to be transferred.

Stuff to try when Odin flash fails:
*Must run Odin as administrator in Windows.
*Ensure Kies & it's processes aren't running in Windows task manager. Kill them if they are.
*Try different USB ports; you must be using a 'powered' or mainboard port.
*Try different USB cables (particularly the cable that came with the phone if you're not using it now)
*Try different versions of Odin (search on here/Google)
*Uninstall Kies, reboot, redownload & reinstall it, reboot, try the flash again.
*Run Windows Update.
And if all this fails, try a different PC. If it won't work first time on the other PC, go thru the above steps with that PC.

Where is the log file? I don't see anything in the Odin directory...
Also, how long should flashing from Odin take? I don't have a benchmark to compare. The ROMs I have been using have been flashed through recovery without issue up to now. I haven't had the need to use Odin before.

You can see the log in lower left pane in odin, inside a white box.
Usually it takes around 2-3 minutes to flash a firmware.

I haven't but I can try. I am also looking to get some more firmware, any idea where to look? I have looked on here but the only links seems to use a dodgy download manager, and the links don't work anyway.
I thought perhaps just try to get a kernel flashed then recovery, then maybe flash a ROM but I can't find a kernel.
I have seen suggestions reflashing the bootloader, but I cannot find bootloaders either.

I read that after corruption the drives can become R/O but not sure if this is the case or how to fix.
NAND stuffed. Motherboard replacement.
Edit - Although....Maybe try a JTAG repairer first. You might get lucky.

SGS2 Charge & SGS2 GT-I9100 freeze

Just to say at start i have searched EVERYWHERE but haven't seen anyone with exact problem.
I have added many contacts after the backup before rooting.
I have SGS2 (International, no brand) and it freezes at charging screen (with the battery when you put the cable in when it's off) and can boot in Download Mode. Now i know that i could wipe everything from my phone at i could get it back but i really need my contacts i have at the phone.
The phone is rooted and it suddenly didn't go further after closing Opera with exit (took a bit to close everytime) tried rebooting but can't get other than the screen saying "Samsung GALAXY S II GT-I9100". I tried to get in Clock Work Recovery and it was successful and i think it was a half coincidence, because i can't get it working now.
I tried changing the battery and it had no effect i already saved a no wipe custom rom ready to be loaded from SD-card.
So i think the keys to get to CW Recovery is the last chance. Could you give me all possible ones because i haven't used it for a while.
Please help me XDA

U need the USB drivers for Odin to work. You get the drivers either by installing Kies or by installing the drivers themselves.
If you uninstall Kies, then you must either re-install it or the drivers.
If u have Kies, you must make sure all Kies related processes are killed in the Task manager.

I think the bootloader is corrupted. You can repair it with a "usb jig or usb jtag".
Try this (download mode):
Try to get to download mode via pressing power+down+homekey. Download a official firmware and flash it via odin.

S2 Bricked [SOLVED]

I am using the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G.
I had put a Siyah Kernel on thinking it was compatable, which it obviously wasn't hense this post.
I've searched for related problems some near mine, but not exactly on the mark.
What has happened is the Kernel was placed onto phone, it reboot and now it has the S2 start up logo with the name and model number, but below that is a yellow caution triangle, I cannot enter download mode, nor can my PC detect it.
Is there any possible way to fix this?

Get an I9100G stock rom. Flash it with Odin. And don't flash anything for I9100/T to your phone again. Next time you'll probably break it permanently.
Edit - You're obviously not trying to get into download mode right. Keep trying. It isn't bricked. If it were, it probably wouldn't boot.

Reinstall latest kies, reboot and try again.
Got a laptop nearby? Install kies there; sounds like a messy drivers thing.
And remember to kill all kies applications via task manager.
You will lose only apps installed data, nothing else.

Not now atleast. You should always have scheduled backups in case something like this happens. Of course ur contacts would simply sync back once u log in to Google.

What country would be suitable because the phones for New Zealand.

[Q] i9100 is not booting

As the title suggests, I can't boot my i9100, not normally, not into recovery, or download, I tried to re-partition but I used to S3 file by accident, brother pulled it out since he was playing in the room, it won't boot up now.

Please use search, use google there are so many threads like this. There is an answer somewhere out there you just have to find it.
May the force be with you!
Let me get this straight..
U used an S3 file (am assuming u meant a pit file) to re-partition ur device, right?
And ur brother pulled the cable while Odin was flashing, isn't it?
So what does your phone do now, besides playing possum?

And the bad news ? Given you used a PIT for a different device, you won't be fixing your phone.
