[Q] Vibrant Running Slower on SuperNexus 2.0 Build 4 Update 2 - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, I recently installed this rom and notice a significant decrease in speed. I thought it was just because my daily driver is an HTC One that it felt slow. However, my girlfriend noticed that it was laggy and sluggish (it's her phone). Could anyone offer any possible solutions/insight to this problem? Thanks.

Hey man pm me and il give you some tips for a fast phone

Hey SoloBadguy. Try flashing this on your girlfriend's phone... http://db.tt/60xH94yV. The flashable .zip adds some experimental performance tweaks to the build.prop. I've been using them for quite some time and haven't had any problems. If anything, they've certainly seem to help. Anyhow, hope that helps.

[Q] Cm7 Vs Bionix 1.3.1

Well I like both roms and have used both wat do u think of them tell me advantages and disadvantages
I'm sorry, you've tried both... you know the pros/cons....
CM7... pros, everything. Cons, battery/gps
How bad is the battery an used it for short time and it was on charger
It's worst than stock... it's not horrendous, like it used to be... the new kernel has really helped battery, but it is worse than stock. It's worth it to have the options CM7 brings.
No GPS was a deal breaker for me, but I said F it.
When I tried it I could not turn it off do u have turn off problem were u can't turn it off unless battery is out to
Only when connected to the usb cable though right?
on cm you get about 10 hrs of battery life, and no GPS, there is Voodoo sound and color and the theme chooser.
I dont use TW roms so I cant say anything about them
Both it won't shut off its weird

what for? there's no need in cm7..
Is the new version solid enough to run as a daily driver? I ran it about a month ago for a week, but came back due to lots of instability issues.
there is none but it will become even faster and I love speed so I hope so

Super slow scrolling speed ;(

My scrolling speed and overall performance of phone is slow and laggy. I just installed condemned cm7.1 but it also did it on GSB 3.8. Please help before I chuck this phone. It is very frustrating! Thanks
Man, I was looking for the answer for that question. I have the exact same problem where I have to wait for my phone for like a min before it shows me the loading message for any app that I wanna open. I know its pretty sad but i can't find the answer of how to fix that. If anyone out there can help out itll be deeply appreciated

[Q] Is CM7 Ready Yet?

Hey guys,
I'm no babby to installing beta software or flashing or any of this business. However, I'm just wondering if CM7 is ready for so-called "prime time" on the Atrix yet. I don't really care about the fingerprint sensor or webtop at all. Sans those two things how is everything else working on there these days? How is battery life and overall system stability?

From my experience its great. Battery life is identical to a blur rom, and performance is very good. Also no stability issues that I've seen.
It's my daily driver. Best experience on the Atrix yet for me. Battery life is great. I usually get through the whole day. now that it's merged it should just get better and better. I'd suggest it.

Just do it.... it's technically out of beta now.
Only things that don't work:
- Finger Print Scanner
- Webtop
- Horizontal HDMI Mirroring
- Dock Audio
As far as battery goes, that's pretty much subjective from user to user... also depends with kernel you decide to run... if you want good battery life on CM7, might want to try Faux's enhanced stock kernel & add some undervolting.
When you say, dock audio, does this just mean the audio cable that splits off of the power cable doesn't work? Does Bluetooth audio still works when it's the car dock?

This CM7 is pretty beastie so far. Great battery. Faux's 1.45ghz kernel. Stock I used to have to charge about 9pm @ 25%. Nowits still about 45%. Of course your mileage may vary......
As to the post above me, do you even use Google?

Thanks guys. I went ahead and flashed it and loving it so far!
I'm glad you flashed it! I was really hesitant to leave the safe, stable world of deblurred roms and venture into fingerprint-scanner-less world of CM7. However, with it out of Beta I finally took the plunge and it opened up a whole new world to me. Now having taken the red pill, I can never go back.
CM7 is without a doubt the most powerful rom available. It is so good that it makes me hesitation regarding lack of fingerprint scanner silly.

thanks master of google
I flashed the new version and i dont know what is happening but mine is too slow to scroll apps, change screen, etc. Does anyone here is happening samething?
I'm using CM7 and am blown away by the speed, features, and how clean it is.
There naturally are quirks, as its still in beta. The only major issue I've had is lack of ability to control permissions.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I had similar issues. I think they're related to the cooked in ADW Launcher. I just replaced it with Launcher Pro, and my homescreen and app drawer scroll smoothly and quickly.
As much as I love CyanogenMod its a no go for me.
The only reason I use the Atrix 4G and consider it a superb smartphone is because on Webtop and Fingerprint Scanner. Whitout those two key things, I might have moved to something else like the SGS2.
Too bad those features are not priorities for CyanogenMod devs I presume.
Cheers

Not to sound abrasive, but it has nothing to do with priorities. You should read up on what they are facing with those two things.
And for the record, about that sgs2...

Awesome scores!
But unfortunately that doesn't help with Webtop and Fingerprint Scanner problem... :/
But I'm glad to see those scores nonetheless!
Thank you for sharing that!
Cheers!

Why don't you use Aura or Alien or any of the other custom ROMs that DO have those features? They're still way faster and leaner than the stock moto builds.

Question for the thunderbolt community

Hey everyone, I am going to be trading some services (a mechanic is doing my breaks in exchange for me rooting and custom romming his lady's phone) and would like to know what your opinion is on the best thunderbolt ROMs available? She is currently on stock software and hates absolutely everything about her phone and how it behaves.
What would you guys recommend? I'm looking for functionality, reliability, battery life and the smallest amount of software bugs as possible.
Tweaked stock ROMs? AOSP? CM7 or 9? I know nothing about the thunderbolt community and would greatly appreciate any info you can give me.
Thank you everyone

Leaving it on a stock rom unless you plan on maintaining the rom for her..If she has no idea what shes doing then dont cause a headache for yourself, with techs its nothing to change out a rom, or if it gets buggy, well you get the point... the best thing would be a factory reset, or check the memory on the phone she prob has to many apps, install the apps from the sd card to free up the memory cuz im on a stock rom and its way fast, great battery, most of all the battery issues are from apps..just trying to save you a down the road..
I would go to the dev section of this forum and look at the ROMs and see what catches your eyes its opinion over opinion when saying stock is better than custom tons, I myself like custom roms because you can choose a wide variety of tweaks etc etc

LiquidRom 3.2 and use Rom Tool box built in to download pink theme, use built in theme chooser and apply theme, the get a pink keyboard skin and appy. Btw you can customize splash screen and bootanimation to her liking with Rom Tool box too. No bugs for me.

I use SkyRaider Zeus. Has an option to switch radio to 3g when screen is off which improved my battery life immensely.

You want no problems use zues.

Definitely a stock based ROM, like Zues. AOSP's battery life isn't as good as Sense (to no fault of the amazing devs of course).
I also suggest Imoyeson's leankernel 5.1.0GB in battsaver mode. Amazing performace with amazing battery life.
I also recommend Zues. ran it for a month straight no problems. only switched roms to see what else is out there
BAMF 1.11 with kernel+++ and turn off task manager at startup. Since I've installed the latest version of BAMF I've had zero fcs, great battery life and good speed. I'm a tech all day long with Windows PC and understand little about behind tor scene android functions. BAMF seems most reliable and low maintenance. Remember every phone responds different to the same os. It's just like gas every kia responds different to bp gas.

G3D is all you need

[Q] how to push my awesome htc legend even futher

hi guys,
i've recently installed homics 2.0 on my legend and i really love it, it's so smooth and stable and it looks so good. But the problem is, i'm addicted to music and i love playing games and texting. that requires a lot of cpu and ram from my legend. so i overclocked it to 787 Mhz ( I can't do better )
my score on antutu is good but are perhaps some tips and tricks to push it a little more or keep it stable at higher Mhz.
or would CM 9.1 work even faster than homics 2.0.
thanks a lot guys and it would be cool to post your antutu score
(it's so nice to see how some people still keep working on the older htc legend. i think everybody on this forum appreciates this A LOT. so a big thanks to all htc legend developers!! )

OK you deserve an explanation, I read your post then started talking about something else not exactly related to your question so just deleted it lol
Anyway my opinion is for pure reliability, relatively bug free, overall best performance is cm7.2 cause its lightweight (small footprint) and pretty light on resources too.
Im using jellybean ATM and it gives the highest antutu score I've ever seen on my phone of [email protected] MHz, however its only alpha version and not 100% but good enough as a daily as the important phone functions work + WiFi and Bluetooth.
