Hi,
I just installed the P.A.C Rom, but am not able to get my my device detected on my system, neither as MTP nor ADB device. I checked and double checked the USB computer connection options for MTP and USB debugging and both are enabled. Any help?

Hey guys,
So this has happened out of nowhere. Like the title says I can't sync my phone to my PC. When I plug the USB cable in it keeps trying to find the driver for the "MTP USB Device" and always fails.
I have installed the Samsung Drivers and have rebooted the computer and phone.
Is it possible I don't have USB mass storage turned on? I did a search but couldn't find where that feature is.
I'm running:
SuperNexus 2.0 Build 1
Thanks for the help!
My device is Xperia P, Jelly bean, also root. Before root, everythings ok, After rooted, I found an error. Just normal, My device is connected to PC as portable device. When I click "on", the usb debugging, the device is disconnect. And I found 3 lost driver in Device Manager as in Picture.
I download the xperia p driver and update driver but error found, no driver.
So Now I can't use, usb debugging on.
Pls give me advice how to enable usb debugging...
Does the flashtool detect your phone when you connect it in usb debugging mode? Also, is your OS detecting the phone properly with the usb debugging off?
I had adb working on my computer on the kitkat official rom, and now I updated to the rooted lollipop (Jasime 5.0 base). Root works, I have usb debugging enabled, and have tried following USB modes: Charge, PTP, and MTP (only ones that are available).
I can't get ADB to detect the device anymore.
edit:
I can get it working in TWRP, and I can get it working in PTP, but not MTP (weird). The ADB Composite interface does not appear connected when in MTP mode even though Android says USB Debugging is enabled.
You're supposed to use PTP in order to use adb. Glad you solved it.
Hello all,
I purchased this phone a month back and would like to install custom roms/root it etc.
I am unable to get my phone to enable USB debugging and allow access for my PC. (I have a unlocked bootloader). The notification (prompt) for USB Debugging which shows up the phone (asking if one wants to grant access or not) doesn't show up. Hence I am unable to use adb or fastboot to install TWRP.
I have tried using the cable provided by the company on both USB 3.0 & 2.0 ports to no avail.
I am aware that there is a "How to Guide" under the News/Discussions section. However, it hasn't helped me much.
Any possible solutions?
Thank you
PS- When I connect to pc using USB cable I get the prompt asking me if I want to use it for file transfer,PTP or no data transfer.
Are the drivers properly installed?
What does the device manager show, when your phone is connected via USB and USB debugging is switched on?
What happen if you type "adb shell" when your phone is connected?
Enable it in developer option
Allow USB debugging and USB debugging Security Settings) in Developer Options
I have an android device with OTG support, the problem is when I connect a flash drive its okay, works fine, but when I connect my android phone it just charges the phone and cannot access its storage, even when I set the USB mode as MTP or PTP. Both is with USB debugging enabled and USB mode as MTP.
Have you any idea why this happening? I heard about it that it could be a kernel limitation, since the kernel recognize any usb device attached as USB flash drive, it'll try to mount but without success when connecting with others android devices.
