Open SMS app, go to settings > MMS then scroll to the bottom to enable group MMS! Also if you notice, that individually message, there's a checkbox next to it...leave it unchecked.
Group texting is not on my Dev Edition (only TMO).
My TMO SideKick 4G came with Group Texting / Cloud Texting too (old news).
I wish people would group-G+ messenger, or FaceBook Messenger, or GTalk, or even WhatsApp... just about anything other than SMS/MMS.

I guess the problem relies of the group of friends that you have. Most of my friends have iPhones, so it would be extremely difficult to group chat unless I used GO SMS on my Galaxy S II. They would not want to be bothered with an additional app just to group chat with one extra person.

But at least, TYVM, all the freeloaders at work have iPhone and used to spam me with group messaging, used to drive me nuts; now I can easily follow conversation threads. :good:

One of many reasons I got the HTC One after my SGS II. I couldn't stand using GO SMS for Group MMS.
definitely much easier to follow group messages now. but on reply it only works up to ten people.
I'm a little bit confused on what's Group MMS. Is is just being able to send a MMS to multiple people at once? OR is it sending an MMS to multiple people and everyone is responding to everyone together. I'm not too sure if it would be the later. Kinda like if one person sends a message, everyone in that group MMS can see that message. (That's what I mean by the 2nd one).
I'm kinda thinking it's the 1st one though. Being able to send to multiple people at once. Hmm...

I understand what the person is saying. He means to say 3G video calling over the network WITHOUT having data enabled. People seldom use this and hence not many people know about it. And no, Motorola XT910/912 do not support it natively. U could try another .apk as mentioned, but fat chance. Sammy's phones support it well, cuz Sammy isn't dumb like moto.
My friend has a Galaxy S2 and he can make video calls with other friend and his gf (with galaxy s2) here in Mexico. It would be cool if someone can port the apk

Well, I think it will cost too much more than a simple call in any country. It cost 29 cents (usd) per minute in my country (only for users with data plan like me) and 37 cents per minute for prepaid.
Yeah n it costs 3 bucks/min over here in india. Thats about 0.054$
In Poland costs are the same for voice and video calls. average is 0.29Pln/min (0.1usd/min), without a plan. Unlimited calls text and data cost about 30usd/month.
And I'd welcome video calling on Razr too
well i have like 200mins for video call, but since this feature is not supported i can't benefit from it...
and i hope that you guys don't confuse 3g video call with any other video call over ip ...

I could be wrong but I think MMS is working across all carriers for google voice now. I've been receiving pics from people that normally couldn't send them to my GV because they didn't have Sprint for the past few days or so and didn't really think anything about it until today. Any of you tried it out lately? Easiest way to do it is to have your gv texts forwarded to your main text app and try to send/receive from there. This being the case I pretty much have no reason to even give out my real number anymore.
What I've found is that I if someone sends a mms to my gv number I will receive the txt part in the GV app and the image in the email I have linked to the GV account.
Pretty clever....

What! I need to check this out......
Edit:
CONFIRMED! I'm never giving out my real number again!
The only bad thing is that you can't send mms via GV, at least via the standard app but, having this feature is a good start.

try merging your sprint and gv account and then have gv forward all incoming to the stock messaging app. that way you are sending and received from stock mms.apk. that'll prolly do it.
You dont even need to merge the accounts...just have gv forward your texts to your normal sms inbox. I just do both out of go sms but both numbers are still seperate.

Every time someone asks about Verizon branded Visual Voicemail, most users say this. There are so many reasons I personally use VZW VVM. For one, I like having 2 separate VM inboxes, one is GV for my business calls, the other is VZW for my personal calls. Second, it's convenient. Third, I get it for free.
GV for voicemail is not an end-all solution.

I don't use google voice, because for the 2 days that I tried it, over half of the missed calls gave the caller an error about not being able to connect (can't remember the exact verbage) and did not give them an option to leave a voicemail.
I use my phone for work, and I can't afford to deal with missing voicemails.

Thanks in advance.

There's no iMessage compatability for Android. I'd suggest possibly having her use Google Voice (if the app is avaliable for iOS still) for her to text you and vice versa (if you have texting).
whatsapp
LiveProfile - can send photos and videos too and has the read receipts and "typing" indicator
Or Whatsapp - seems to be pretty popular
I use Google voice, but your wife would have to have a number to do so - maybe gchat?

True, if you're getting picky
Regardless, its installed on every Android phone and is accessible through GMail and Google+.
actually you can do group messages with the included standard messaging application. Just make sure you disable your imessage on your iphones before using your android phones. If you dont and someone responds back to a text using imessage and it will sit on apples servers waiting for your iphone to come back online. Happened to me. Didnt receive texts from iphone users until i disabled the imessage feature on the iphones.
Verizon's visual voice mail is giving me lots of problems on the G3. Well actually the same problems after the kitkat update on the G2 too. 50% of the time I get a no data connection error and have to refresh. That or turn off wifi for a while which seems to handle it better. It's a real nuisance. Anyone else see anything like this? I'm thinking it's a combination of Kitkat and Verizon.
Yes. It's horrible. Same on Droid Maxx.
My solution is perfect. Use youmail visual voicemail. And use the app better youmail. It avoids the annoying contact sync that youmail uses. And you can change every setting and then some.
The only feature that doesn't work is, if you integrate the voicemail in your call log, it will show up but you can't hit play. But if you have a notification of a missed voicemail it will play from there just fine.
Highly recommend. Worth the cost.

The voice mail notifications seem to clear and not return whereas on my s3 cleared voice mail notifications would come back.
To me it is the worst thing about the phone. It's almost unusable. How can it be so hard to manage voice mail? This is the kind of stuff that makes me re-think iphones as an option. . . . nah.. not yet.
Seriously, it is a hand off issue I think. This should just silently fail until it gets a good enough signal. It's just amazingly annoying otherwise.
