Battery Percentage - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I don't if this has already been covered for the HTC one, but I was wondering how I could get how much battery percentage I have left on the top of my phone. If there is already a thread about this, then please direct me towards it. If not does anyone know how to do this? Thanks Alot

Either root and install a rom with a battery mod instead of the standard battery, or grab any of the battery widgets from the play store.

[Q] How to get that sweeeeet battery icon?

So I was looking through the metamorph forums and noticed several of you have a very sweeet looking battery icon. It was like the percent battery left inside of a circle of colors(green) and it replaced the lame default battery icon. How do I get this?
You flash bionixs rom. Or flash accurate battery from somewhere in these forums.

[Q] How can I fix the battery readings on Kenneths Gingerbread release?

I'm incredibly happy with Gingerbread (even though I admittedly only had Froyo for a day, REALLY good timing ), except for one small, minor, insignificant problem: the battery readings jump by 10%.
I scoured the topic on the Dev forum, and tried wiping the battery stats (with both the "Battery Calibration" app on the marketplace AND the instruction Kenneth gave using CWM Recovery) but it's still not reading right. I didn't install a battery percent mod, which I read could mess with the readings.
Does anybody have any other ideas? Like I said, everything else is working great, and if I didn't get the point across in the first paragraph, it's really not a HUGE deal or anything like that, just an annoyance.
Thanks!
Don't think it's Kenn's mod. The OTA 2.3.4 has similar battery jumping stats. Every time I reboot I get an extra 5-10% lol but it drains down quicker.
When you say they jump by % 10, do you mean it jumps up and down or that it only registers the charge loss in% 10 increments? If its the former then its a known issue where battery calibration is your best shot at fixing it. If its the latter, this is normal for the atrix. It only registers % 10 increments by default.

I don't think we're having the same problem. The READINGS are jumping on mine, so it'll go from 100% to 90% to 80% etc. I never see anything in between. The battery seems to be lasting as long as I could expect, considering how much I've been using it. I'm having a hard time figuring out which side of the reading it's actually on, even. Like, if it's reading 90% is it 90-100 or 80-90.
Also, just to clarify, I wasn't outright blaming Kenneth's ROM for anything, as far as I know his release is stock, and just repacked so it can be installed with CWM (maybe deodexed? Or maybe that was a different thing altogether? There's been so much coming out I can't keep track). I just didn't know if it made a difference or not, so I was as specific as possible.
Thanks for your reply though! Maybe someone can shed some light for both of us
Edit: goscrewsir, I used to get single percent readings. Since it's by default, is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? Thanks for the info!
The last person to answer is right, the 10% incrementing is normal. It shows 90% for all the values between 80 and 90...there is a mod available to show 1% increments however, which you should be able to find in the themes and apps board.
OK, I guess I didn't notice since I installed GingerBlur almost immediately, and maybe GingerBlur had a half version of that mod built in (the system read single %, but the icon was normal)?
Thanks again to everyone for the explanations!
[MOD] StatusBar Fix for 2.3.4 - 1% Battery!! - CWM (6/28) by Nottach
Thanks neotekz, I knew where to find it. Plus the one you linked to is for HKTW.
I wonder if Nottach would be kind enough to leave out the custom battery icon. He seemed to be doing a lot of single requests in that topic, haha.
So what does the battery graph look like in 2.3.4? The stock graph that shows usage, does it look chunky and not smooth? Or does it look correct?
I seem to have a problem with the battery reading. Also if I reboot the battery goes from 85% to 99% . When I hit 70% it drops to 50% immediately. Clearing battery stats doesn't work.

he updated the mod when ken released 2.3.4. it works for both versions.

so does the 2.3.4 battery graph work normally on the atrix? on other phones the new battery graph shows 1% battery, so the graph is smooth and accurate.
does the atrix 2.3.4 version of this graph work the same way? or does it only show the graph in 10% chunks?

Battery percentage

Hi folks, is there any way to see the battery percentage on the Note? It appears when the phone is charging, but I'd like to see it at other times too. Is there a way to do this?

On the stock ROM/stock theme, the only way is to go to Settings -> About Phone -> Phone Status.
You can also flash one a ROM, mod or theme that includes a percentage indicator, which you can find in the development or themes/apps forum.
Battery indicator or battery Widgets helps for now, but I heard this Widgets eat up the battery too.

You'll have to download one of the tons of custom Android battery widgets that are found in the Play Store. That's what I'm currently using right now.
There are two I can recommend and they dont affect battery life in a noticeable amount (they use probably less than 2% in a twelve hour period which is likely not even noticeable).
The first is a free one called battery solo widget.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEsIm5ldC5tYWljYXMuYW5kcm9pZC5iYXR0ZXJ5cyJd
Its a very simple 1x1 circle that starts full and slowly removes bits of the circle as your battery get lower and lower. The colour also changes from green to yellow to red as the battery level drops and inside the circle is a clear readable number showing your battery status.
It should be noted that if you search for circle battery widget, you can find some nicer looking widgets than the one mentioned above but this is the one I used and it worked well for me (I used it for over a year on the Captivate).
However, if you are looking for something a bit more fancy, I strongly recommend Battery Monitor Widget Pro by 3C.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ult#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNjYzcxLmJtdy5wcm8iXQ..
Features everything you could possibly want to know about your battery status, tons of graphs and charts, whats been eating your battery, statistical information, temp, etc. It has a very nice widget that is very customizable.
3C also has another app called system tuner pro that is essentially the same thing for everything else (cpu, ram, gpu, etc). I strongly recommend BOTH apps, my main homescreen has both Battery Monitor Widget and System Tuner Pro.
Thanks for all the info guys! I went with solo widget for now.

I use battery circle. its FREE, simple, easy to use and it works. http://bit.ly/GPf4pK
If you're rooted, cook up a simple battery icon mod in UOT kitchen. Pretty straightforward.

Yeap, most widgets are "Live", meaning they update, and depending on the interval, could and does use up some battery.

I know this thread is old, but I came across it. i have been using Badass Battery Monitor for a few months on multiple devices and it is great for this purpose, without noticeable battery drain
I use Battery Indicator Pro. Works great!
It looks like battery percentage will be included on the official ICS release - I've loaded three of them so far, and every one of them has had an option to "Display Battery Percentage" under display settings.

Just bought seidio extended battery. Need help with battery indicator

I have circle battery, works great and its accurate!
I had the same issue. The manufacturer said that it would learn it in time. It took about 2 months, and started reporting the correct battery life.

[Q] How to improve battery life (Launcher/jelly bean related)?

So after the jelly bean update, my battery life dropped abysmally. I attributed it at first to Google now's constant use of GPS, but even after turning off GPS radios it didnt improve much. So I got myself the SEIDIO Innocell Plus extended battery case to see if it would help (a lot of reviews said it did) but it didnt help me to the extent that the reviews claimed. Some youtube reviewer dude claimed the battery charged his phone like 80%! My battery is only charging my phone about 30%. I have slowly began to turn things off: First changed launchers to GO EX, then turned off all radios except mobile network, then turned offf live wallpapers, then go my self another app called cleaner something or other, and Im hoping that will help.
Now questions:
I have TSF shell, Sense, GO EX, and Launcher Pro installed, along with a home switcher. Is having this many launchers installed taking a toll on my battery?
What else might help me improve my battery life? Will rooting and changing ROMS help?
Does one launcher offer more battery life vs the other? recommendations?
Does anybody has any experience with the case I bought? The manual claims, for "best results" turn on the battery when the phone battery is at 50%. Any reason why this actually matters?
Any other advise you have would be greatly appreciated. Its ridiculous that I am still struggling with battery life even after getting an extended battery case.

Could be just a bad battery. Did you break in the case properly, what's your charging habits (do you let it die before connecting?) How do you use your phone?
There's lots or variables that goes into this.

I have a similar problem. I used to get 24 hours per charge, now I barely get 9. I'm not sure who the culprit is but I suspect either Google now, widget locker or nova.

Im not sure breaking in the case properly means, but what I did is charge it fully, then let it die, repeat. My phone, when I used to get battery life, i would let it get to about 25 % and then recharge. Nowadays it always dies and then I recharge.
I started using one power guard and I believe it really works. Also I found that turning off Gps while not using apps that need it increases battery life by a lot.

Any options for non-rooted phones? My phone lasted about 7 hours today....about 44% of the battery was being used by facebook(wtf? I have it set to sync every hour) and google maps(about 25%). I also felt the phone get really hot.
I love jellybean but my phone was getting awesome battery life before the update.
Sorry I'm rooted, don't know bout non rooted phones.

I've heard people had good luck deleting or freezing Facebook for sense and Facebook engine and all that other Facebook stuff that comes on stock. Then just reinstall from the market
YMMV

Quick question from me also: when I go to Power in settings and click Usage, Camera takes up 23% of power usage it says...I used it once to take a single picture (about 10s) and closed it right afterwards (and I don't have geotagging enabled). Is Camera really sucking a quarter of my battery, or is something else acting under the name Camera? (stock 3.15, no root)

Why do you use so many launchers? The launcher that uses less memory with save you more battery
Rooting and changing ROMs should really increase battery because people tweak and debloat them like crazy. Based on all the launchers you have I recommend you find a senseless rom if you root
No idea about the case.
