Hi guys. I have a Samsung galaxy s 3 i9305. I have rooted it and it is running an avatar ROM based on miui. Every time I try to use something like CPU tuner or super su it comes up with the text superuser has denied cputuner or whatever the name is of what I try to use. I have looked for superuser all in my phone and cannot find it anywhere. I know once I find it all I have to do is change the permissions and this will all be sorted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers. Beathy

Is it maybe hidden from app drawer?
Or maybe included in the ROM's settings menu?
You could have a look with a file explorer and search for the apk or try to reinstall from playstore?

Can't you just extract it from Tasks rom?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
That seems like the obvious answer but for some reason if I just replace the browser apk in system/app with the one from task's rom the browser just FC's.
Clear browser data and don't forget to set correct permissions, use root explorer or similar. Set rw-r--r--
I'm pretty sure this will work.

Yes, clearing browser data should work.
Push to /system/app set permission to: rw-r--r-- (just as Patrics83 stated)
Then go to Settings, Applications, Manage applications Then choose: All
Scroll down to Browser in the list and click it. Then click on "Clear cache"
That should do the trick...

Are you flash with your stock rom?
If yes, you need to remove your old browser and the browser.odex..
If no, what kind of ROM? From the zip..i try to extract the files and see the script, and not find the command for set permissions..its just me or maybe someone recognize this..
Just find deodexed version of your browser from custom ROM zip files, thats the safest way..
give me the correct apk, and i try help you with the flashable zip..
this is flashable zip..just install from recovery..

Did you set correct permissions? Maybe that's the reason.

About your question, I'd say you need to search a little more.
"I got my values. So you can keep yours, OK?"

Yeah... It's a tricky issue. Since device is odexed, all customizations don't work.
Eg. : if you replace only the battery icon/any icon in notification bar by a flashable zip....notification will disappear and will cause lag and graphics disorder in the device.
Solution :
Flash the original system ui.apk. Mere replacing the apk and setting permission might not work.

Isn't it flashing systemui.apk and replacing it, setting permission works same?
During flashing you extract to /system/app and set the permissions.

100% same. But during live replacement it will end up in a tornado of fc on system ui.apk. So I prefer flashing system stuffs to avoid "this and that" fc.

I would maybe try and reflash the rom onto your phone. I'm using the same version and my cut/paste works great. now if only I could figure out why my notifcation sounds disable themselves every couple hours...
try deleting /data/clipboard then reboot

Is it the Tasks app (lgtasks.apk) that you're looking for? If so, I have it backed up from ZV4, and can post it for you to download.
That would be great!

Let me know if you have any problems accessing or downloading via that link.
If it won't install as a normal app, you'll need to copy it to system / system / app. It force closed on me until I rebooted.
