first let me say I do not have a RAZR and have searched. I have a friend who was rooted, tried to unroot and install the OTA JB update. He is now stuck in fastboot. His PC will recognize his phone but doesn't show as available like it should. (I have the Note 2 and mine shows under "computer" when connected). he's tried running the razr utility and it fails then says he's back on original version. He can get into bootloader but not into recovery. He says it back the to AP Fastboot screen and then it says boot failed. He was rooted but on stock. he tried to install the JB update both OTA and through his external SD card. can anyone help? does the razr not use odin?
I don't understand exactly your problem. Would you like to flash stock ROM with fastboot recovery? Then you have to
1) install latest Motorola driver package
2) install RSD lite tool
3) boot phone to fastboot recovery
4) connect USB to computer
5) download fastboot package of you choice, exctract it and choose included xml-file in RSD lite
6) start flash and wait until it's finished
he's stuck in a repeat boot. he told me it was a fastboot but I didn't clarify if that meant it was a regular repeat boot screen or if it was the fastboot recovery screen. I didn't realize how different the razr was from my samsung phones. sorry if I am not making sense. He's in SC and I'm in AR so I am only going on what he is telling me.
I assume that he stucks in fastboot recovery.
The only chance to get the device working again is to flash ICS stock ROM with RSD lite.

Try this: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...inux-all-in-one/page__pid__227369#entry227369
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155576
Check out 2nd video.
I would also post links to fastboot files, motorola driver package and RSD-Lite, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to do with <10 posts
By the way, are you XT910 (GSM) or XT912 (CDMA) user?
Would you like to flash ICS or JB?
Note that for JB no fastboot files exits up to now. JB can not be flashed with RSD-Lite.
First of all, this what I have and what I have and what has Happen:
Motorola razr GSM XT910
I have been running JB for a while via this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2078021
Today i flashed a new rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213422
And it was awesome.
I made a Nandroid backup and then restored it after i did some thing on the phone. But then when i booted it, I just got to ther fastboot menu eveytime. I thought it was dead until I updated my Bootloader to A0.77: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1893347&page=3
Now, however, I don't have a clue on what to do. I have proably donwloaded over 5 different fastboot versions, both ICS and JB and tried to flash the phone with these. The process go well but it always ended up with a Black screen, and I have to ashut it down by holding the buttons.
Do anyone have any tips for me pn what I can do or is it truly bricked? I don't have any mone to buy a new phone right now, so I would have to use my old Sony Ericsson K810i
Next time, read the OP carefully, it says it must on the 982.124.14.XT910.Retail.en.AU JB OTA, the jelly bean you are running before is the verizon jelly bean, its not compatible, so you need to fastboot back to ics, the jelly bean fastboot you have downloaded is for verizon US only, theres no yet jelly bean fastboot for gsm, make sure you get to the AP Fastboot mode by going through the bootloader,
anyway, what are the errors showing on the screen?

I know I should, my bad, but done is done.
Before, I couldn't even use the bootloader, it just took me into fastboot mode directly and I got messages like: "Ivalid CC OTC/CC:webtop):Invalid sp data"
but after updating the fastboot loader to a0:77 I can now use the whole bootloader and I don't get this message. But I can still not use my old ICS fastboot files which i used for a month ago.
Do you know any ICS Fastboot files that would work?
I tried SPDREM_U_01.6.7.2-180_SPU-19-TA-11.2_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRICSRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml
But it didn't work.
I will try and fic the webtop, will update.
it seems that you have problem with the webtop partition, so you need to flash the gingerbread webtop (not installing gingerbread) .theres a tool that can flash the webtop_signed partition. you can download the files here
http://d-h.st/m8W
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umt...USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml.zip
extract the Flash IT.rar and the fastboot xml.xip you've downloaded. also extract the ICS fastboot file and copy the webtop_signed file in the gingerbread fastboot folder to the ICS fastboot folder, and also copy all the files in the Flash IT folder and put it in the ICS folder
Now, enter to AP fastboot mode and connect it to your PC, in the ICS fastboot folder, run the FlashME.bat wait for it to flash
Okay, I'm gonna try that.
It finished without problems but I got these messages:
Invalid CG OTV(CC: cdrom): Invalid SP Data
Invalid CG OTV(CC: system): Invalid SO Data
Invalid CG version (CG: SYstem)
Invalid CG OTV (CG; system)

Tried that but the flashing process always fails after 2 seconds. Can't enter Recovery either.

make sure it says 'connected' in rsd lite. and also make sure you enter the AP Fastboot mode through the bootloader
Did as you said but it didn't make any difference. THough I have now tried al the fastboot files I curently have downloade, and one of them; p2b_spyder-umts_spyder-user-4.1.2-6.7.2_GC-384-402 actually made it to step 10 were it fails to flash "boot.img"
This was fastboot files for 4G version though.

try to flash using this file
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umt...SPDRICSRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml.zip
i think it failed to flash 'boot.img' because you downloaded the wrong fastboot file, the 'boot.img' stands for the kernel
Nope, fails at the first step, "cdt.bin".
I think you have just update it to jelly bean, and you cant go back to ics since you have flashed the ROM. Now i understand why you got cdt.bin error. That means you cant go back to ICS
You can use this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2194825
But the problem is you can't root

I tried this but i can still not enter Recovery. However, I now get some other error codes:
Invalid CG OTV (CG: System): Invalid SP Data
Invalid CG Version (CG: system)
Invalid CG OTV (CG: system)
However, looked at the cmd window now, and it fails at system write beacuse of low battery. I have opend the phone and I am now charging it, I'm gonna leave it for 2 hours and then try again.
Edit:
Got enough battery, but got the same results as above.
Hello,
I am using htc Desire S and I have installed 4EXT Recovery 2.2.7 RC5.
My HBOOT Version is 2.00.002.
Just now I tried many times (even trying with different SD cards) but I failed to install Endymion V3.5 (Link below)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310845
The problem is: When I installed, and reboot, it shows "htc" in green words with bright white background, then all black, then "htc" in green words with white background again, then it boots into 4EXT Recovery 2.2.7 RC5.
I used "wipe all partitions except SD card". Then install from SD card, choosing the correct zip file (And it also shows to me that I have successfully installed the ROM)
I then tried to use another ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429215
This one, it successfully does not boot me into Recovery, but it remains on the booting screen for more than 10 minutes, so I suspect it also failed...
I then continued to try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1230029
THE PROBLEM IS THE SAME AS INSTALLING ENDYMION!!
Finally, I reinstalled my old ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1545558
AND IT SUCCEEDED.
=================================
Now I suspect it was the problem of Andriod version, those ROM which booted into recovery are all (though only 2) 2.3.5
Does anyone knows how to solve this?
Any other thing (except full wipe) I need to do or change or make sure, before installing Endymion V3.5?
(I even tried both EXT3 and EXT4. Also failed.......)
Thank you very much and it is really urgent (I am going to have a flight tomorrow...)
(Because the only succeeded version does not have a wifi hotspot function)
SOLVED!!!
I finally solved it by myself!!!!!
Well not actually,
just because I read this:
"If you unlocked your phone via htcdev.com, you must flash the included
boot.img after flashing the ROM in recovery:
- Boot into fastboot, either by:
- Turning phone on whilse holding VOLUME DOWN, or
- adb reboot bootloader, or
- using an option in your recovery (eg. Reboot Bootloader)
- Connect your phone to your PC and copy the boot.img from the ROM .zip
to the same place as fastboot.exe and issue the following command:
- fastboot flash boot boot.img
Failing to follow these instructions on a htcdev.com unlocked device will
cause the ROM to fail to boot, or will cause other issues."
This is part of the guide from CM9. I then copied boot.img of Endymion using the same method and solved...!!
Hi every one, my device is XT910K, CID was deleted
Problem with me
I installed CM10.1.3 2 days ogo, but when have miss call, myphone auto reboot. So, I tryed flash stock rom JB.ChinaRetail.384.
Now, it bootloop at Moto logo
i tryed flash boot.img ( from extract ROM), but it still that :crying:
Have anyone can help me
Tks so much
Sr my bad Eng
I've flashed radio.img ( from extract ROM) >>>> still bootloop Moto logo
I'm sure never update EU rom by OTA or RSD, all most by BMM
After flashing stock firmware, go to stock recovery > wipe data/factory reset. If that doesn't help, use the following fastboot command.
fastboot erase cache.
Oh, tks Semseddin, sucessful............
I unrooted and relocked the bootloader to install Lollipop. Succeeded and installed the soak test version.
Here's where I screwed up. I tried downgrading to 4.4.4 using the factory firmware and now I'm unable to mount any partition or install any boot image. Every time I try installing an img via fastboot I get a "Prefetch validation failed". When I start the phone I get "Invalid boot image header".
What works:
Recovery (TWRP) - Can't install anything because cache, data, system cannot be mounted.
Followed these steps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/general/video-tutorial-downgrade-moto-e-android-t3032738
I was able to install TWRP. But these are not mounting - cache, system, data.
I was able to flash gpt.bin.
Can someone please give links to 5.0.2 firmware? Why am I not able to flash the 4.4.4 firmware?
how did you install lollipop ..through stock recov or twrp.
Did it from recovery via adb sideload.
I'm able to flash all the images except: motoboot.img and gpt.bin.
I have a running android system but the SIM card is not getting detected at all.

motoboot.img and gpt.bin are not supposed to b flashed..................as for ur SIM, maybe u flashed the wrong firmware..............
I tried installing the lollipop firmware through ADB but it aborts after verification. I've tried other ROMs, everything works fine except that the SIM doesn't detect at all.
System, modem, recovery, boot all get flashed fine. Except motoboot and gpt.bin which fail to flash saying "preflash validation failure". Is the SIM not detecting because these 2 images fail to get flashed?
moto r hard brick
heloo guys i have MOTO E i updates it to LOLIPOP.. wch ws soak version realized..!!
