Hello guys, I know the CyanogenMod for Galaxy Ace doesn't is official, but, works good, I recommend, but... I'm stay with a very boring problem, on the batery. My percentage it seems that is not synchronized, and the battery ends fast, but have one the problem. Suppose my battery is in use by 90% and a short time and then drops to 80% and is a long way, and then falls back again, but when he gets 20%, it is to leave an hour or two between 20 % and 10%.
Someone else goes through this?
I was installed my Cyano by this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263292
First the battery indicator sucks on Ace, on stock roms it too don't work very well. Second, have you try to calibrate you battery?
Well... I have phone on saturday... Ah! I'm not have the stock.
How I can calibrate my battery?

i had similiar problem. cm 7, battery drop from 100% to 90 % in few seconds of use. And 20 % last sooooo long. oh and i forget to mention that i have calibrated battery so it didn t help. on stock rom i didn t notice this problem. ok, it can suck either, however it isnt as bad as it was on cm7.
Are you waiting when you battery is charged to 100% or disconnect it from charger? I must wait some time when battery is 100% charged (let you phone on charger), I think on lookscreen you will get an information that you battery is full. Second are you using CM 7.1 or CM 7.2? I fell CM 7.2 is pretty bater in battery saving then CM 7.1. Using now CM 7.2 form Axel RC1.
I've calibred my phone, but doesn't effects. CyanogenMod 7.2? How can I install this version of Android 2.3.4 ~ 2.3.7 on my Galaxy Ace? I'm using the Cyano 7.1 RC1 Cooper KANG with kernel Ketut.
I can find it in "Development section"
Thanks, but I've installed. I'm recharging my phone, too late I'm gonna back to here and comment about this mod, anyway, this ROM are perfect. I had 90MB free, now I had 110MB free, it's fantastic.

Yeah, about that. I myself have noticed a little bug with that too. It sometimes say 100% charged without it being charged. Don't know if its the faulty meter or the actual battery. Either way, I let it charge for a while after it says that and it works.

I am partially agree with gradonnn here. Please everyone read my this observation carefully. I observed it on 3 Galaxy ace (all non-rooted with stock ROM, 2.3.4) (One was mine and other 2 are friends' phones, all 3 of us observed the same.)
With the stock ROM I installed battery percentage indicator and charging from 20% to 100% on widget indicator showed in about ~90 minutes of charging. & everytime, It showed 100% I disconnected assuming my mobile was fully charged. But then It started to drain after some use and stopped at some particular point say 83 or 78 percentage. First I thought my battery was bad, so I got replaced from samsung service centre. But again, second battery was doing the same.
Then, I googled about it and came to know a good battery of SGA (or any other smartphone) takes nearly 3 hours to charge from very low (say 5%) to full (100%). Now, when charging on the stock ROM showed 100% (in notification bar from Battery Indicator Pro & Battery Percentage Widget on main screen) the mobile was still charging and almost after 1 hour notification used to come with notification sound that "Battery is 100% charged!". I observed same thing with 2 other ace of friends. "THAT" notification was final to consider that mobile was 100% charged and after disconnecting, it didn't drain faster in any indicator.
I am also using CyanogenMod and the problem with this ROM is, the last notification of status bar doesn't come even after nearly 4 hours of charge! (believe or not, but I did wait for that notification sound many times!). & Just 90 minutes of charge the indicator starts showing 100% same as stock ROM did. From last 2 days, I charged exactly 1 hour more after it showed 100% and believe me, after disconnecting your charger battery won't drain fast.
Now, if you're asking whether I have used calibration tools, yes I did with above observations already. & I used Juice Defender, display brightness at the most min level setting offers, GSM line only, Wi-Fi was on hardly 1 hour in 1 day, and ~40 mins of gaming. With these settings/use and stock ROM my battery was down to 50% max at the end of day.. BUT, with CyanogenMod, it gets down to ~20% at 7PM in evening. I believe CM eats more battery, but observing the speed & facilities it gives, it is the best custom ROM for me.

That is because the notification is not a feature of cyanogenmod, but is of Samsung.
Battery percentage is inaccurate in the Ace. Charge your phone on a stock rom and when it reaches 100% the notification won't come either. It'll have to continue charging for another half hour or so then the notification comes.
So same thing with cyanogenmod, charge longer even if it shows 100%.

That's what I said in the first place.. (Plz read my post again )
On the stock ROM, even if after 100% battery indication, I had to charge ~1 more hour until the notification came. My CM 7.1 did never notify me even after 4 hours of charge.. (which is more than 1 hour longer than stock ROM) That's what I said too.
BTW, Does your (or here anyone's) CyanogenMod give out notification of 100% battery charge?
Hey guys, i fell that resolve, but, i'm testing. If resolves, too late I share.
"This is by design. Your phone will slow down and eventually stop pulling charge at or slightly greater than ~95% regardless of what your battery indicator says. This is to extend the overall life of the battery, as constant 100% to 0% charge/discharge cycles will cause it to fail prematurely." from Nexus S FAQ thread

Recently installed Safestrap 3.05 in motorola droid RAZR having stock 4.0.4. Everything else works great but as soon as i create a ROM slot the battery falls to 95% and when i install a new ROM the battery meter meters shows fully charged at 95%. The battery then starts discharging way faster and the back cover also gets heated up
But when i go back to the stock ROM the battery is on 100% even though it shows drained to 85% in the custom ROM. And the coustom ROM battery monitor shows the android OS to be using around 50 to 60% of the battery.
I tried syncing up the battery levels by uninstalling safestrap then charging the battery to full and then install back safestrap. I tried installing different ROMs but experienced the same battery draining problems. I also tried resetting battery stats but without use
Normally battery life is up to one and half days with normal usage. But in the custom ROM its barely 6 to 7 hours.
Has anyone faced this problem ? Is there any method by which it can be rectified ?

why don u try recalibrating ur battery using while running the stock rom.... do a conditioning of the battery .. umm drain the battery to 5% switch it off recharge it full do this for three to four times.. factory reset ur phone and then install ur custom rom once again ... see if any difference after that

Had tried it. Tried draining it to to around 5% and then recharging it to 100%. And the thing is it doesnt show 100% in the custom ROM. As soon as i reach 95 it says battery full. In the stock ROM it works perfectly fine. Presently i have the custom ROM installed. In it the battery is 86% and when i reboot and go into stock it shows that my battery is fully charged. I initially thought that if this is just a stat error it wont be a big problem as my battery still will have the juice to run the phone. But later on the back cover seems to get hotter. Its as if the ROM is trying to discharge the battery even though not needed. I dont know if that is possible but thats the thing confusing me. And it doesnt seem as if other people are having this problem. Dont know why.
Hi
I have been using PAC ROM and everything was fine, but sometimes when charging the led notification on my phone wasn't working.
So I switched to Zelly Cream, but at that moment, the battery icon was showing 100% and it didn't drop after night, then next day I heavily used internet on the phone and then it powered off,and it told me the battery is discharged.
I flashed stock ICS,but battery still stays at 100%
Did anyone else faced problem like me,if yes,how did you fixed this?
Thanks.

Try charging your phone until the indicator shows 100%.
Then take the battery out of your phone, wait 5 minutes or go drink a cup of coffee, put the battery back and turn it on.
If the battery indicator has dropped, charge it to 100% again.
That's the way suggested by Sony to reset your battery status.

Whenever you come back from JB to ICS you should be flashing stock .587 ftf so that you wouldn't face this problem.. i figured it out yesterday and each and every attempt was successful in getting rid of this issue.. this is not at all a kernel issue...
Oh,I had my phone powered off for night, and now I have powered it on and it magically works fine
That's weird,I didn't do anything,but it's now fine.

First you have to flash JB kernel like 3.4.45-nAa-03 (recommended). Then flash any other JB ROM ( SuperJB 6 recommended). After again flash ICS kernel and restore your nandroid backup or fresh install. This may help you.:good:

Hii everyone
I've got some really weird Battery Issues on different Lollipop Roms (CM12, ResurrectionRemix 5.3.5-5.3.7, Beanstalk and SlimLP).
The problem is, as soon as i restart the phone the battery percentage drops from 50% to 13% for no reason.
If i charge the phone later suddendly the loose percentage are back, but the phone consumption more "battery" so it's sooner at 0% as normal.
Does anybody else faceing this problem? Or whats the solution?
(Tried several times to calibrate the battery, and it's a new one ca. 6 months old)

I've had these problems when I first bought my phone used off eBay. Phone battery was very erratic. After a reboot battery would be less than half or nearly 0 even with 80%+ battery. Or would shut down with 5% left. Or drain battery a lot quicker than normal.
Soon as I bought a new battery my problems vanished. My battery would stay solid no matter how many times I flashed a new ROM or rebooted. BUT after 3 months these drops have started to happen again with reboots. Not always like before, but they're happening.
I think it's down to battery conditioning. The way you charge and discharge your battery. There are set ways to charge a phone to maintain battery health.
How does your battery react without rebooting from a full change to shut down? You shouldn't need to reboot a phone with a good stable ROM once you've set it up the way you like it. Also calibrating you battery or wiping your fuel gauge meter to often isn't good practice as android and your phone will do calibrating itself after some time and needs the information that these starts provide.
Battery jumps seem to happen with a lot of S2 users. Maybe a flaw in the design of phone. But good battery practices are important, things like not leaving your phone charging overnight. Batteries don't like being left on charge when they are full. There's more info out there on XDA that I can't remember myself as I am guilty of bad battery practices as I use my phone all the time and don't have time to full charge cycle.
Yes same problem
Battery drains really fast when restarting
Any fix for this?
I am hiving battery problems too. Battery is dropping % like it leaking or sth. Last time my phone rebooted due to full ram and it dropped from 50% to 12%. I left it like that. After some time battery re-charged itself from 12 to 23 % ! Phone was lying on the sofa without connected charger ! Should i clen fuel guage chip or my battery is EOL ?

Forgot to say, if you want to avoid battery drops when rebooting make sure you plug your phone into charge before rebooting. Thus should stop battery dropping afterwards.

The battery often drops when the phone hangs at work and reboot from itself so i have no chance to plug it in.
I have same problem, battery drain too fast & after reboot same time battery level is "falling" at one moment twice. At first, I think it's a battery problem, but battery work fine at CM12 mod, and have problem at SLIMLP 5.1.1 mod. When battery "falling" it's not heating, which means no real discharge.
