Wow, I rooted my Legend back in 2010! That's so long ago!
I found this in my Legend Root folder I saved to SkyDrive:
http://sdrv.ms/19cyP71
It's a goldcard tool I used, someone made it from the HTC Hero back in the day. It worked for me.
Of course, you don't know who I am, and I don't know who you are, but I give you my word this .exe is safe, blah blah blah, internet expectations blah blah blah.
Good luck!

that one also used that down website
but thanks for your try

Ok peeps, head over to the dhd forums and read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17247562, thanks to "gene pool" there is a solution to gold card issue, read through the whole thread and find out what all you need to know, I think anyway LOL.

lol
[ i figured out that you can make one offline using that guide in second post, using gcard.exe ]- edited
anyway i used htcdev.com to unlock bootloader and then root then cwm them cm7
thx for your try
if u dont have a rom specified there go to http://www.shipped-roms.com/ get a rom that is hboot upgradeable do that ruu stuff and then update hboot using htcdev ruu
then follow htc dev steps
after that go to
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_legend
dont forget to thank

Interesting, did you read the whole thread? There is a binary and script to create goldcard images offline at the end of the thread, I also believe the op has updated with new info?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda app-developers app

u can do it offline using flashgc or sometin and also by using gcard.exe in the second post of the thread provided by ranger4740

[Q] Revolutionary issue

Scenario: HTC Flyer US Wifi only. Attempting to get s-off using revolutionary. I've setup ADB on my mac and my device is identified, so I can see the serial number. my HBoot version is 1.10.0000
This is the message I receive when trying to run the binary file downloaded from the revolutionary site.
"
-bash: /Users/BHaze/Desktop/revolutionary: cannot execute binary file
logout
[Process completed]
"
I'm guessing this is a simple fix. Thanks for your help guys.

revolutionary is windows or Linux only, and this thread desn't belong in this forum.
Why doesn't it belong here globatron? It's a tool used for android development, right?

Unfortunately that didn't work. I believe all the permissions are correct. Could it be an error from the android sdk install perhaps?

Most likely you have a file that is corrupted or invalid. Are you sure you downloaded file for right platform?
Sorry, that's what I could think of. I tried Windows version and works great.

This is Development... So what are you developing? You are asking a Question about how to use a tool (Revolutionary). Revolutionary is a tool to unlock and help root your Android device.

Yes, that's the link I'm talking about. You did mention that your device says "htc wildfire" in the build.prop, so you could try the wildfire's revolutionary for it (just a suggestion). It's still best if you ask the question on that website to be sure (so you don't damage your device). If you don't want to, then just hope someone here knows what to do.

Easy tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415223
go to http://htcdev.com/
click unlock bootloader, follow the instructions.
then use any root program that supports htc wildfire
I suggest unrevoked http://unrevoked.com/
That's what I used for my legend, and it works like a treat
hope this helps

I know mate =) It is just that I don't understand a thing. I have been searching and searching for ages, but I can't seem to find a guide/way. Tried out many different things. It would be alot easier if somebody who knew about flashing stock rom would post a thread/guide =)
Cheers,
Tabbii
Its very simple - download original ROM, connect phone to PC and flash it, i dont understand whats the problem on it...
Maybe you should tell us a bit more about ur phone- att vs euro version, if its att did u debrand to euro version or flashed to dft spl2.05 straight away, what methods have u tried that didn't work?

Believe me, buddy, I searched alot before posting this. I just can't seem to find a way to install the stock OSPL back again. Now I am running HSPL by DFT. I want to install the old OSPL again so that I can have the stock rom(original). I have searched everywhere, but there is no post regarding the stock OSPL. Yes, the program for installing HSPL by DFT has this choice where u can choose downloading the HSPL or the OSPL. I have tried many times to install the OSPL, but I get an error. Besides, I don't know the right structure of this whole process; Am I going to install the stock radio first or install the OSPL first? And what about the Stock Rom, when do I flash That?
RUU stands for RomUpdateUtility =)
hello bud,
pay no attention to the "know it alls" who post just to post, without actually answering your question. Thats what the forums are for, developement and questions no?
But as an attempt to be helpful, what type of device do you have?
Have you tried just flashing the stock rom found on Football's rom thread?
If not try that using a "RUU" because from what DFT's HSPL page says you should overwrite their hspl if you reflash the original Rom for your device.

I have an HTC TITAN(EURO VERSION I THINK). I do have installed ultrashot's rom(dynamic's.......) i don't know what to flash first. What AM I flashing first?
where do i get that RUU? and what AM i overwriting with? I AM getting so confused :-\
You just look in the development thread and download any RUU, like ansar's for example. Then download the stock "euro" rom from football's filefactory. Then you simply put the rom In the same folder as the ruu, run it and follo the instructions! Good luck.

we need a how to on Unlocking the bootloader... I can not find a concise way to do this. can anyone help I've watch the Youtube video by Adam Outler and i still cant get it to work... I am on Beans1...
Thanks for any help...
Adam just revised his guide (first post of his thread) with even more steps. Also, if you read through the first few pages of the thread, people put exactly what they do.
Between those two and the video, I unlocked in roughly 15 minutes last night.
But please note it assumes a base knowledge of rooting unlocking and the such. Those guides are elsewhere on xda

odin tries to unzip the .tgz file
ok i tried to use 7-Z file extractor and it will not extract the file to .tar... says the file is broken? the link for the revision3 file goes to revision3repak.tgz is this the correct file?
Odin will do what it needs to do, you don't need to extract it yourself. If Odin doesn't like it, you prob need to re-download the file.

I have unlocked the bootloader following instructions from htcdev site..i have installed the HTC drivers..installed android SDK.. aftr that i tried to root my htc amaze 4g by running ZERGRUSHTEMPROOT batch file aftr connecting d device via usb debug mode to my pc but my phone was not rooted...pls hav a look at the attachments of the command prompt screenshot post running the batch file..pls help..
I believe you need to install a custom recovery (recommended 4ext). Then flash Superuser to get permanent root.
The answers are here, just need to look carefully. Check out Hansoon's tool.

You seem to be very new to what you are trying to do. Please spend a good amount of time reading and learning before you try and flash anything. All your questions have been answered before, start with the stickies. Once you think you have the procedure down post a detailed breakdown for us to critique.
