ICS still 6.1.B.0.544 and no JB.
Probably the JB in Brazil will be late, and this isn't something new. My bet: 4 or 6 months more. Isn't Sony fault because the ROM is already being distributed outside. My friend (that extracted the ICS for me) flashed the stock generic world JB, a delicious jelly bean.
For the noobs: Xperia stock ROMs can be normally flashed with Flashtool without any modifications or root or bootloader unlock. In this case, just have your stock previous ROM to put back, just in case.
Cya folks!

Hi All,
I installed a custom ROM (HYBROM v17) on my XMP a couple of weeks back. I now want to flash the just released stock ICS firmware to my device.
Will this cause a problem? Do I have to install the Stock ROM before flashing the ICS firmware?

If you want to flash the ftf of 4.0.4 using flashtool, you can do it right away. Check
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1690704
For more info.
Thanks,
Rick
Hit Thanks if I helped in anyway.
Thank you but my concern is whether I will face any issues installing ICS firmware while on a Custom ROM that, if I remember well, cited that it is based on .62 firmware.

Basically flashtool will clear the rom on your phone and install the ICS fw on it.
Including baseband and kernel.
So if you have GB on it with .62fw, it does not matter.
The thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1690704 already answers your questions about upgrading to ICS.

Great if that's true! Thank you so much
This will work
I can confirm that going from Hybrom V17 to the stock ICS works nicely.
As I have upgraded my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to a Sony Xperia S the beginning of this year, I gave my old X10 to my younger sister.
It is currently running Wolfbreaks latest GB ROM with DooMKernel.
I am looking to upgrade to ICS.
Can anyone link me to the most stable ICS ROM?
And what are the steps into flashing it?
Is it like back then where you flash stock ROM then root and then enter CMW and flashing Custom ROM?
What about kernel?
I really do apologize for my noobiest... I haven't touch the X10 forums since AGES. D;
They Are All stable, but you should try the new v2 of feralab ics.. And Gingerbread still seams to be faster than ics so it's your choice

Just flash Fera's V2. Didn't see much problem, but if it's for your little sister, I'll suggest stick with GB ROM for now.

Goto following link and Install a FerKernal V4 and ROM, you need to install a ADD on package-1 and other apps to get the Google Play after installation of ROM and Kernal.
You will get the Addon packages and SEMC apps in the thread itself.
Its preety good and stable.

I have purchased my Xperia U from Yemen. I wanted to ask whether this flashing thing would make my phones warranty null? Will I get the stock and stable version of ics?

In my opinion it doesnt void your warranty.
In my opinion there is no bug free version of ICS, GB was better.
