[Q] Keeps Rebooting - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys, my atrix is running Epinter's unofficial Cyanogenmod 10.1 rom and it keeps rebooting. anyway to stop it?

So you're saying your phone is running an alpha-quality software and it's not working right? Hmm, I wonder why...

I believe we have the same problems, my phone keeps rebooting all the time with cm9&cm10. I read that this application can solve the rebooting problem but it will consume more battery. I think that it prevents that the cpu goes to deep sleep, but not sure about it.

In my case the reboots are related to deep sleep because every time i turn off the screen, like 20sec-1min later it reboots

These roms are alpha dude, These issues will continue until we have a new kernel. The weird thing is I used epinter's CM10.1 without random reboots.

[Q] random reboots

So my phone is experiencing some random reboots, but like this happens only sometimes when i do something on my phone.
yesterday it happened when i touched the camera app, and it just rebooted . im running the latest kernel with the speed rom 7.8 . is there any fix?

[Q] Deep sleep, rebooting

Simple question. There is something going on with my atrix, with the stock rom and the original kernel the rom keeps rebooting randomly, but when i change the kernel the reboots stop. How can the kernel be related to that?
And another one, i have like the "normal" at&t that should be compatible with the roms without any other fix but somehow with all the ics and JB roms my phone freezes when i turn off the screen. For example, when i'm listening to music and press the power button, it will play for some seconds and then freeze or sometimes the speed of the processor gets stucked in 750 MHz making it impossible to charge :/ is someone in some similar case?
That sometimes happens in some cm7 based roms, but there with a new kernel the problem is fixed :/

[Q] Strange problem with my P7510

My P7510 started to do a strange thing.
I usually never turn off the device and I just let it in sleep mode with everything off to save battery (wifi, bluetooth, ...)
Lately I noticed that sometimes the screen turns on and off by itself every few minutes.
No physical harm has ever been done to the tab and the power button doesn't seem to be sticky, so I think it may be some kind of malware.
I'm just asking what do you guys think could cause this before going with the trouble of doing a factory reset.
btw i'm on rooted stock ics rom.
thanks
Have you installed any sort of app that has permissions to wake the device or turn on/keep the screen on when running? Try uninstalling a couple of recent apps to see if one of them is the culprit.

[Q] Reboots on cm9 - cm10

I've been trying to run a cm9 or cm10 based rom like MIUI, epinter's or any other but my phone keeps rebooting.
Now i know that those are not random reboots, the reboots appear when the phones goes to sleep; for example, everything is ok until i turn off the screen, then the reboot will appear around 20 seconds after that. The same occurs with the music player, while the screen is on it can play everything, but as soon as the screen goes off, some seconds after it freezes ( it sounds like a repetitive nasty sound ).
I believe that the phone is freezing before entering in deep sleep, do you know how to fix this? This happens in all the rom's i've tried, so i believe it's something related to my phone since there are a lot of people that can run it perfectly

Extreme Wakeup Lag

Since yesterday I have been suffering from extreme wake up lag and I haven't found a way to fix it. If I leave my phone asleep for longer than a few seconds it takes up to 10 or 15 seconds for my phone to wake up again. Also, my phone has not going into deep sleep. I LGNPST'd back to stock and hard reset my phone. After that I flashed PA beta 6 back again to see if the issue would go away but it doesn't. It tried to narrow it down and the problem persists on whatever ROM I flash after I flash GAPPS. I've even tried different versions of GAPPS too but the problem still exists. I've been trying every solution but I can't find one so I would please love some assistance
Weird bug, are you using banks gapps?
Sent from my Optimus G
no im using the PA Gapps that are from the ROM page
Then perhaps you should use a different one to see what happens.

Yesterday I flashed the Banks minimal GApps and the issue is still there. The only way that I found right now to get rid of it is to not allow the CPU to sleep with the Red Eye Sleep toggle app. Allowing the CPU to sleep still causes the wake up lag
