I was an avid user of Chrome on my GNex until I found the stock Browser was faster. Now today, I wanted to see for myself which browser was faster using benchmark tests.
As unreliable as some benchmarks can be, there is some truth regarding scored. The lowest score pictured was on the stock Browser, and chrome had the highest score. I was surprised.
Both tests were, of course, ran with all background apps closed, same governor, cfq scheduler, etc.

I wonder if that "fastest score" is the new stock Android S4.

I haven't looked at the newer kernels so I haven't been using it. The initial stock offerings were always buggy when I used SetCPU, especially when I used a screen-off profile to set the speeds pretty low. I did that on my old G1 and the battery life did increase quite a bit.
Not likely to really help with the battery if you are not over clocking. If you get system panel app you can view in real time the cpu use. You could cap the top end to 600 or 800 MHz, but with the new roms there really isn't much need 'cause the battery life is excellent now and has been for 2-3 months now.
I use it along side the superpower app to set a pretty strict sleep profile. Thinking about adding taskser too, but that might just be overkill.
I'm using SetCPU with multiple profiles set to drop cpu with screen off and with battery under 50%, also using JuiceDefender, and took this screen shot today:

This was my third run but they were all about the same.
Why does the flyer get such low score in quadrant? My Motorola Defy (oc to 1000mhz) gets a lot more than that.

Because your phone is junk! No just kidding, the quadrant score don't mean anything that I can find? On my old sgs I was rooted over clock my bench mark was like 1200 my wife was stock her bench mark was like 700 and to login to the Internet, go into sites, download apps, games everything was the same speed as mine?

I haven't seen any benchmark posts yet, so I figured I would make one. I'm currently on stock unrooted, no overclock, 32 GB Class 4 microSD card.
I ran three test suites, Quadrant, AnTuTu, and Passmark. Passmark is a link since it doesn't have a one page score screen, nor does it locate the microSD card since it's not in the old default location.
Quadrant:

I'm interested to see what scores others have, especially those who got the chance to root and install the CPU overclock module.
So, I decided to run a benchmark on my second Droid Incredible 4G, since I hadn't done one since it was replaced. To my surprise, it's even better!
Look at that! 178 point increase! And I thought that was great until I ran it again! (which probably only improved because the processes were in memory now)
My phone is better than the One X! Though the bar looks slightly longer for the One X. Regardless, I'm pretty ecstatic.
100% stock and unrooted, so don't ask.
Since the 4.0.4 update:
This is great! Here are my results, bone stock.

What's that? This thread is dead? Nah.
CM-10.2, kernel 3.4.62, 1.2GHz, interactive governor
AnTuTu Benchmark 4.0.3
Screenshots stitched together since 960px is too short for AnTuTu:
pacman 4.2(my own rom)
this is a screenshoot of my current rom(pacman rom) the kernel is stock cyanogenmod right now, been tweking the rom interactive 1.5ghz
What do these benchmarks measure?
Something must have improved with the update. (posted this on phandroid too)
Before update -- full benchmark -> scores between 4100 and 4300
After update -- full benchmark -> scores between 4900 and 5350 (with a couple that went down to 4500)
Ran quadrant 20 times before and after. Didn't install anything new or make any changes.

Thanks. I keep thinking that I would do this but hadn't.
I will confirm your results. I was getting 4300-4500 or so before. Now I am getting 4700-5350. Nice to be at the top of the chart

I noticed it was running way better after the update. Didn't run any tests...just a lot snappier and more responsive

So with your help can we confirm if it is Fake or Legit?
He did an Antutu Benchmark test and it the difference between the CPU scores were 1, so I think it is fake.
BTW the video is in Spanish!

its fake of course as benchmark resulted with 1 score difference. There are some miscalculating with the kernel probably

Dude, I have already stated that I think it is fake. But looking into it more, it looks like an older version of the Rafael.baugis kernel which I think used to have a placebo with the clocking.
