I am using an android tab from chinese manufacturers i.e. its not from a top brand. The tab model is "Full AOSP on Rk29sdk" and the android version running on it is 4.0.1.
I got Ubuntu 12.04 installed through complete linux installer app ,on the tab and connected via androidVNC app. It consumed 3.5 GB space on my tab's internal memory, after the installation. I tested it and didn't like it. So, what I did is I just deleted the folder containing Ubuntu image and other files ,from the memory. Also, I uninstalled both the apps as well.
Now, still my storage shows the same availability as it did before deleting the folder. How do I recover that space ??

Hi everyone.
I need your help. I've succefully launched Windows 95 through aDosBox (qemu and bosch version didn't worked), and now, I want to install there some old games like Neverhood and etc. My problem is - how to install/put into W95.img's HDD any files which are located on my sdcard? Is there any way to etc. create a disk drive, or something like that, which could be open in booted Windows?
Thanks. Winged.
cell: Samsung Galaxy SII
Resize it?
Update:
Right now I've discovered, that I can use WinImage on my PC to edit w95.img and put into it's C drive anything I want. Unfortunatelly, there's only 100mb of free disc space (another 150 is reserved for windows files)[whole w95.img weighs 250mb]. I still don't know how to expand/resize IMG's size to something about 2GB. Could you help me guys?
Winged.
Can anyone help me?
I accidentally deleted some photos from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1,
since the photos had sentimental value (my marriage proposal ), I started a quest to restore them.
To tell a long story short:
I tried a lot of PC recovery programs, but non of them recognize the tab as a drive (because windows/Linux don't recognize it this way)
I tried purchasing "Hexamob Recovery Pro", but it doesn't work on honeycomb / internal storage drives
I looked everywhere for a photorec binary to run from a terminal emulator
diskhelp/photorec is a tool for linux to restore deleted files with.
I am desperately seeking help to run photorec (or any file recovery program) from the android tab itself.
My Tab is rooted with clockwork recovery and busybox installed.
Any ideas anyone? any lead would really make my day.
Now, any ideas ?
I formatted the touchpad because windows asked me to and now whenever I try to access files on my touchpad I can't access them on the device. I move the files using windows 7, they show up on my pc, but when I try to access them on my cm7 hp touchpad they don't show up. For example I go into file manager and it shows me nothing that I moved to storage. It shows all of the android folders such as DCIM, Downloads etc... but when I open my storage up on my computer I see none of those folders and only the files I moved to storage via PC. Any help?
Edit: I used webOS doctor to go back to 3.0.4 and without any android installed. The problem persists and now when I try to install CM7 again I get the message "no cminsall dir found nothing to install" I've googled and looked for solutions but I can't find any. It's as if I'm placing these files on a part of the memory I can't access without windows 7 or something.
Bump

Same thing happened to me. I wiped and formatted using clockworks and then applied the image again.
Sucks to reconfigure, but all fixed.
Ok, you used webos doctor to restore the webos file system. Not you need to recreat the cminstall folder on the touchpad and go through the entire cm7 install process again. The issue most people forget is that webos and android use entirely different file structures than those of windows.. both are linux based operating systems and are not conpatible with windows. It sucks, I know but you will have to start from the begining again.

Hello,
This is my first topic here, so i don't know if am am doing something wrong.
Sometime ago i runned windows xp and 98 and tried some linux in my old galaxy s3 . In that time i found other apps to do that:
-Limbo pc emulator
libSdl (qemu)
and for running old games winulator.
The limbo's developer said in the description that the app couldn't run any windows after 98 becase of the android's storage low speed. But i could run windows xp. Now i have a galaxy s6 that has a much more faster storage, much more ram, more internal memory, much faster processor, but these apps doesn't run in my phone.
Limbo opens, i create a virtual machine but when i run it, the app just closes up and android show-me that warning that the app closed unexpectedly. Bochs opens, start to boot and a second after he opened, it just closes without any error, bochsout doesn't give nothing too and if i see in the wright time he recognizes the img's. libSdl opens, start to boot windows 98, and closes some seconds after opening, withou any error. Winulator chrashes the game when i try to run, and many people in internet says that winulator do that becase he is incompatible with the new JavaJVM.
I think that is some incompatibility of the app with my android version. My cell phone is an galaxy s6 "flat", has original ROM from samsung, recently updated to 6.0, original kernel, doesn't have root, and the apps were made to "android 2.2+".
Could anyone compile for me a version of bochs for my s6 or help-me to do that ? Or even give a link to a version that works on my phone?
My deepest apologies if this is the wrong forum but I am trying to find out if anyone has been able to modify these pdms as its little more than a cell phone made by a company called Nuu and its their A1+ phone.
It appears to be stripped of all apps and not sure if its possible to root it to add the other android apps back but it would be nice if I could add them back and do things like re enable the audio plug.
I just got one of these and started to investigate such an idea, which is how I found this thread.
So far I have gotten it to be accessible in Windows 10 Pro by installing the Drivers from:
https://www.helpjet.net/Fs-34429584-64578678-97773923-devices.html
It shows up under Devices and drivers as Android. Which is the Internal Storage on it.
To view the files on it , you have to copy them to another drive on your computer.
Within Device Manager Android Phone shows and within it it shows Android Composite ADB Interface so it appears the serial port to access the phone is accessible.
I installed a 32GB MicroSD and in Device Manager it shows up under Portable Devices as does Android .
In Device Manager Drives, neither the Android or 32Gb MicroSD Show up as drives.
, but Android is viewable in Explorer as a 5.24 GB Drive.
So it appears it is susceptible to hacking, just have to figure out how to do it....
It will be cool if someone can extract applications and make them work in any Android smartphone to avoid using 2 phones.
