I have read about this Ubuntu mobile thing, and that it is possible to flash this on Nexus...
Is it possible to port and flash it to our DX? This would be nice.
Is any dev hanging on this? Or have informations?

As I know, Ubuntu uses Linux kernel like Android, but is a different SO after all
Currently, the Ubuntu mobile is cm10.1, without dalvik, and the android stuff. But with the Ubuntu stuff.

What's the difference between android/ubuntu stuff? (at better/worse performance, I mean)

CM’s kernel is used for hardware interaction.
Ubuntu chucks out the DalvikVM (the ability to run Android apps) in favor their own application layer.

Yes, that's what he ment. As soon as we have CM 10.1 (That will be after HTC will share their kernel sources, hopefully somewhat soon), we will be able to compile Ubuntu Touch too.

It also would be impossible to fit a rom the size of the sense 3.5 or 3d on our system partition. Someone would have to cut it in half.

They are actually working OT on getting things done. According to the other site so far Kernel is done, new ROM is done and they are just waiting on the new recovery to get done to marry everything together properly. Looking forward into trying it out.
Say 1gb of ram really. It was built for the nexus phone's and tablets at the moment. I tried to install it on my vs gtablet and no dice.

Rom dropped today. We will be posting on XDA in the next few days. Rom can be found by googling " [ROM - 10.1] BETA DIRTY-BEAN 4.2.X - Team DRH (Update 02/22/13)"
Fosser, you guys really work miracles with this device. Lol, just have to wait for my battery to drain so I can get back into the fun.

It's not simple AT ALL.
We need to learn a lot to be able to compile a 4.2 ROM, and it's not easy when threads like these keep popping up.

There was an old mod where someone emulated windows xp. It was unbearably slow so there's no point.
Android is better then windows because it's Linux based anyway. People have had trouble porting Ubuntu to android so its hard enough.
If you want windows why not buy a windows phone?

I doubt cuz windows is closed source and you need to have a valid activation number and no kernel sources are available aswell... AFAIK HD 2 is the only phone with Windows and Android support.. Also it's against Microsoft Rules and regulations

We can't update our phone due to kernel and porting stuff..
If anyway we port any windows Rom but to run it we haven't any kernal..
Even for our amaze there is still no kernal for 4.2.2 which is fully working.... Sportsstar is doing his best job in it...

you mean that if i install 4.2.2 in my amaze or JB it will not worked fully as the original because of we still have not an updated kernel fully compatible with JB
Amm yes right,
There are only official ICS Roms are working fully with all features..
But if you want JB feel then you must go to any CM or AOKP based roms because there is no kernal officially we have for JB or even the source code for the kernal..
To work 100%
And every CM or any other AOKP are little buggy... I mean little... very minor..
But that's true..
But after all I love JB because if see the bugs they are ok for me... I can tolerate them in my daily life..
You may check any those Roms for bugs and if you want those features you may go for that...

Its possible, its just up to the dev, if he/she wants to dedicate their time on preparing something that has a functionality outcome percentage of 50/50.
Best guess is that it may not come, as there is cm10. Once the build is fully functional and all sources are released then more ROMs will begin to come like Aokp, PAC and etc
Do you ever feel, like a, plastic bag.
