modems for 4.2.2? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed temasek's 4.2.2 CM 10.1 rom and I have a weak signal.
I remember that I had a better signal on my previous ROM, is there any way I can download a different modem?
I saw this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1740061 but it says that its for 4.1.2 and 4.1.1.. and Im on 4.2.2..
Thanks

GT-I9300 Vs GT-I9300X Vs GT-I9300T

I tried searching here and even on google but didnt find any answers. So i decided to start a thread. Do any of you know the difference between these 3 different models and most importantly can all 3 use the roms in this (i9300) section?
GT-I9300 is international version. I9300T is the same but it uses a modem that can get 850mhz. I9300x im not to sure about but i think for that version the ROMS and kernels made in this forum will not work and will brick the device.

flashing an I9300 ROM may brick your device. brick is a brick and can be used at a construction area.

[Q] [Help] GT-I9300T to GT-I9300

Hi I'm new to this but I've been following xda for about a year.
Can I flash my Australian Telstra Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300T Jelly Bean 4.1.2 I9300TDUELL2 ROM and replace it with the International, Unbranded Version I9300XXEMB5 originally made for the GT-I9300?
Will this cause any problems and is it indeed possible for me to perform this operation, as many Mods, such as InkEffect, do not support that ROM Version?
Thanks in advance
it's possible, but you might have modem issues

As said before, you can and try different modems (I9300 or T model once) till you got a good one. I am running the same setup and got no issue at all.

Hi,
I would advise before anyone downloads and flashes XXUGMK6 modem that they check here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/ what was their original modem. For instance in my country 2 out of 3 operators are using XXUGMK6 but my operator is using BUUGMK1 modem. It seems to be working better for me.

[Q] Is the I9300XXUGMK6 stock ROM any good?

I've been running custom ROM's on my phone since the day I got it, and I was wondering if the I9300XXUGMK6_BTU ROM is decent? What would be the limitations and benefits of switching from OnmiROM, (which I love), to the stock Samsung 4.3 firmware? I would be rooting it.
NA5 is newer .

Also, is the NA5 release available with _BTU?
