No worries i have found a place willing to do it.
If there are any of you that require the same as me FoneFunShop offer a solution for £24.99 to get S-Off
I have placed an order - I spoke to Mick he mentions they should be a couple of days Turnaround and will try it 1 of 2 ways.
1) Factory Reset top get S-Off ?
2) JTAG
Thread closed for now, ill post an update later after i receive the phone back to give you all the low down.

This is a good idea but it would be more useful if contact info was included in the thread to make it easy for people to take part. I have included a couple. If anyone has other contact info please post it.

Maybe what sources need to be released should be stated also. It's the new kernel source and WiFi that needs to be released if I'm not mistaken?

I have sent htc a message about s off and here is what they replied
I understand that you want to be able to do certain things with your Android device. I do not have any information whether there will be any changes to the way the unlock boot loader process to include S-Off. I appreciate your input concerning this issue.
I think they might change the way the bootloader work, if we send them more messages about that. Am I right?
By the way Htc has amazing technical support. they replied to my message in few hours

I have no idea what you're trying to suggest to him.
If either of you bothered to do a search, you'd find that xboarder posted a list of stock ROMs in the development section.

I could certainty appreciate your standpoint if say, I bricked my device trying to root it.
Considering the power button broke (and my phone has NEVER been dropped) I dont think it's fair that they refuse to fix a hardware problem because I used my device as it was built to be used.

I got the DNA about a month ago but when getting it Verizon did the update for me.. while "showing me the ropes".. even though I easily know more, but anyhow I'm stick with it. But it seems like I have to unlock the bootloader to get the recovery to root to flash Rom. But I'm unsuccessful even getting the bootloader unlocked for this ota for this phone. Is someone working on this or maybe I'm missing the current fourm? Thanks for any direction but I'd like to sometime test ubuntu on this quad core beast .. and get the bloatware off of it!

The answer is no.
Wrong section. Doesn't belong in development .
Have you read any of the threads in the DNA general or q&a sections?
From my S-Off DNA
For the 1000th time, no, unless you want to send your phone off to be jtagged you cannot unlock/soff/root your phone.

Send your phone to mobilevideotech.com
My phone updated as soon as I turned it on (my 3rd replacement.....I keep dropping them) and they were able to jtag my phone and s-off. Worth it for anyone who;s been updated for whatever reason.

does viper supply OTA's? best to hit up that thread with your question, because Viper dev should have disabled carrier OTA's
I got the viper ota today. If you're on viper it's the 1.10 rom update.

Sounds like your trying to be a smart ass. I asked what the update was because I was getting one. It's people like you why I hate useing this site. Too many people always looking to call people out. Did you get picked on to much at school and now this is your chance to get back? Don't respond to questions you don't care about.

Don't get all worked up man, the guy up there is just like most of us experienced users, we search and do research. You got lucky because I'm in a good mood and if it was any other time I would have just told you to search and research like you should have done instead of just asking on xda. It's not the site, it's not the people that seem like jerks. It's the people like you who that make this site the way it is, if everyone would just search first then ask questions later xda would be a wonderful and happy place.

The question I hated most was "will this affect root"
Its probably worse then "will I still get OTA update"

It's a forum and there's absolutely no need to have multiple threads on the same subject or to have a thread on a subject that can be found with a quick look in the thread he downloaded the Rom from...

Either answer his question or ignore it. stop being a moron. its pathetic at this point. Let a mod handle it if it matters that much to you

Clearly you're bordering the a-hole category. There's no reason to insult someone encouraging people to follow the rules of the forum they frequent. No need to be a mod to encourage following the rules.

We do communicate, and still the same questions get asked over, and over, and over. It can become a bit frustrating after awhile.
9 times out of 10, if you simply copy and paste the OP's question into Google the answer will pop right up in the first couple of results.
I will say the same thing I said on a different thread...
When a question is asked people who know the answer have two options...
A) You choose to answer the question
B) You choose not to answer the question...
To come up with a smartass remark while NOT answering the question makes you a special kind of douchebag.
If a person is posting in this forums is because they were searching. Nobody comes to this forums as their first instinct...they find these forums because they are searching the answer to a question.
