Hi,
I recently tried installing JB rom into Xperia U and I forgot to flash JB kernel beforehand. Now the phone is into bootloop and restarts after dispalying sony logo in every five seconds. I am unable to enter recovery mode or safe mode. I tried installing stock ftf from flashtool but in vein.. thr phone just keeps restarting. Please help in solving the same.

i flashed my phone with xperia S with cm9 a few days back, after some random boots it the mobile network used to go off " no service"...so i tried restoring back using cwm.while restoring it gave me an error "can't mount /data! and can't mount /system!"i made the backup soon after unlocking my boot loader (before installing cm9)...any idea what should i so?
like a douche though i tried updating via the zip method with cm9 again but there is a boot loop at cm9 logo and it doesn't go beyond that....sorry for the noobness...its my first android phone...

There is high chances of a system file being corrupted. Use flashtool to flash ftf fw. Then install any pre rooted kernel through command prompt using fastboot method.

Hi,
As of yesterday, just out of nowhere, my Xpiria mini started randomly rebooting itself in a loop...at first it happened once every few hours and then the phone went back to normal, but now it just happens non-stop, and i can't use the phone at all!
some background:
my phone was rooted and the bootloader unlocked, as a result of solving an overheating issue a few months ago..
so, at first i thought that maybe upgrading the software will solve the rebooting problem, but i couldn't install the upgrade version...i guess because i already messed with the phone in the past it won't let me upgrade it in a "normal" way (tried via pc-companion and via the phone itself).
anyway, i guess i have 2 questions...1. how do i solve the rebooting problem? 2. how do i upgrade the software?
(i don't know much about phones etc, so if you could give me a detailed step-by-step explanation it would be great, and would save many of my stupid questions
please help, my phone is completely useless at the moment...
Use flashtool and flash stock gingerbread or ics firmware. Take a look at the stickies for the firmware and guide about how to do it.

Did everything the guides said, upgraded to ICS which works great, with one "little" problem- the phone only works when connected to charger/pc...
the moment i disconnect it (even when fully charged) the screen goes black and nothing works...it vibrates once when pressing the power button, like it's turning on, but nothing happens...

Wiping dalvik cache won't help, it does nothing, because dalvik cache will be rebuilt on every reboot anyway :good:
So is there any chance solving this or the phone is dead?? :crying:

So you are on ics right now, but it won't boot? Is there any vibration or nothing? Can you flash a custom kernel and enter cwm? Can you charge it?

RIght now it's on ICS..it works fine, but ONLY when connected to a charger/usb..the moment i disconnect the cable it shuts off and won't boot at all, no vibration or anything...the moment i put the cable back in it starts normally and works well...
Just flash it with flashtool. Ics generic can be used for flash.

already did that...still won't boot unless connected to charger.
Are you really sure the battery is okay? Maybe this is the reason? Because if it's bricked up (it=the battery) you can only boot when the usb cable is inserted and you won't get any other reactions...
Maybe you can try another one from a friend and report?

My Xperia Neo L is not booting, please help. I am truly grateful for any advice or help!
I flashed the osb and then it went into a bootloop. The sony screen turned on then went to xperia, then turned off and then restarted again. So then i decided to flash the backup nandroid. After i sucessfully restored the backup, the Sony screen turned on then turned off and restarts again and again. I cant get into clockworkmod anymore!! When the sony screen turns on, i hold the volume key and press too and nothing works. PLEASE HELP!!!
I am rooted, stock neo L 4.1.b.0.626, and no unlocked bootloader.
Would it work if i use flash tool to flash the stock rom or something? Please help! ALSO i might have usb debugging checked off im pretty sure

I think you need to unlock bootloader. bcz i tried OSB and use them for 2-3 days and dlt it using no-usb.zip. it works gr8 for me. if phone is not starting then use stock firmware .631 and flash it. root it and unlock bootloader. install CWM and backup and do anything you want...bcz it restore successfully.

The original 37px worked well for me, i just wanted to try the smaller 27px one, but then i got bootloop. I thought that the restore would work cuz, cwm said restore completed but when i rebooted the phone didnt start
So I installed this ROM and tried to update my CWM using this. After I flashed the zip I rebooted my phone and now it won't start. I tried Power + Vol Up but the phone won't respond. I also tried charging, connecting to PC and trying to get into flash mode or fastboot mode but still no response. Help please? :/
@nycdream you realised you flashed an optimus 4x recovery? OP said you must fastboot the kernel inside the rom zip. Ok so you checked that you have proper drivers?

You realy shouldn't flash the zip, fastboot would probably give you an error.
The zip wites to /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 which I don't know what it is for but probably shouldn't be touched.
fastboot had probably give you error

I would think so, not without special equipment and Sony's "bios".
I don't think they can repair such damage at service centers, though you can ask.
