if you did a backup, use it.
if not, use RSD Lite and latest motorola drivers on your PC

Hello guys, here is the thing, my razr is currently on stock 4.0.4 ics ( tried to use safestrap but because I can only boot in bp tools it won`t work ) and I want to upgrade it to jellybean 4.2.
Can I just flash the fastboot file or is there something I should do?

Install Boot Menu Manager in PlayStore Here. You can boot without bp tools after installing the recovery. The fastboot files are for stock roms only. So you will have to download the rom and gapps and flash it in the recovery

What do you mean by stock jelly bean? The official jelly bean update has released. Or do you mean by stock android? You can install Cyanogennod 10.1 . You can find lots of roms in the development section.

Hi, I own a droid razr xt912. I had it rooted with safestrap installed, and I tried to flash cm10.1.2 on the stock rom slot and now it won't boot. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this from the stock recovery. Thanks for all your help

You'll need to use RSDLite to reflash your stock ROM.
Okay, hopefully someone out there knows the answer to this. I am on a 4.4.2 rom (slot 2) and a 4.3 rom (slot1) and want to go back to a 4.1.2 rom in any slot and okay with deleting both of the other roms, i.e. Aviator Blur 3.0.9, but when I try to run a 4.1.2 rom in safestrap it fails. I have 4.1.2 stock blur in my Stock slot. Any ideas. Am I s-out of luck?
Thanks.

What safestrap version are you using?
Newer SS versions are not compatible with older ROMs.

SS 3.5x is not compatible with Aviator.
You should install SS 3.60 and then use the ROM version(check the ROM thread) that is compatible with it.
The flashing instructions should be there.
You cannot downgrade safestrap easily so its better to update it.

You can't flash AOSP roms on MK2/Safestrap, only TW (TouchWiz) based roms matching your current stock version (4.3).
thanks Oishi,
Can I flash back to an older stock rom that is not safestrap?

No, once you're on Stock MK2 you're locked to MK2 and have no other options than safestrap.

Here is a somewhat current list of compatible SS Roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2630040
Also check page 1 in the Android Development section; There are a few new ones that look tempting such as BajaRom for TW
Check out Eclipse 3.0 for an AOSP feel with TW compatibility.
Hey guys I'm currently on Eclipse based on 4.4.2 (12b) after getting the phone about a month ago. I'm rooted and have twrp installed. Do I need to flash a stock lollipop or can I just dl skydragon/jasmine based on lollipop and flash directly from twrp? Thanks in advance!

#2, can just flash Jasmine directly. I haven't read SkyDragon's OP, so whatever it says, I haven't flashed SkyDragon but it's probably set up the same way as Jasmine.
great thanks! what's the best way to keep my apps?
LG stock ROMs for our phone have an LG Backup service in Settings / Backup & Reset. It works great and is even faster than Titanium Backup. When I run stock, I don't even use Titanium Backup any more but TB is still a lifesaver for non-stock.
