Nope, rooting doesn't add anything except the root access binaries and the SuperSU app that lets you give apps root permissions.
Are there any roms available that restore this feature?

There are quite a few ROMS in the Development Sections - check them out and see. Usually the first post in each topic details what's in the ROM.

Hey all. I was just wondering if its possible to still be able to download and use Samsung apps such as Samsung Link, watch on, etc. I love love the Slim Bean ROM but I also really enjoyed the WatchOn app. I have the APKs, but it just says "app not installed" every time I try to install it. When I try to download something Samsung related from the Play store, it says that my device isn't compatible with that version. Can anyone help me out with this or at least tell me of another way that I can utilize the IR on my phone. Thank you.

That doesn't utilize the IR. My TV isn't a smart TV. Do you know of anything that uses the IR on the s4?

IR currently does not work on AOSP ROMs, and more than likely wont any time soon. The code for IR is proprietary and wont be released. It will take someone to reverse engineer code to get this up and running.
@ OP nice choice of ROM

Yes. You will need to specify your apk when you run it. It will ask you and all you need to type is SecExchange_J.apk
Sent from my VZW Galaxy S4 CleanROM.
This is not my app. I don't remember where I found it.
remove any exchange email accounts before running the zip in recovery.
I had to go to settings-app manager scroll over to ALL scroll down to email. clear data and clear cache before configuring it for my exchange account.

It will ask to be admin on the phone don't worry just hit ok it wont add itself.

There was a script on this site I used for my S3 back on ICS but I could never get it to work on JB. I looked but can not find it now. Another option would be to bribe your exchange administrator.
This patch is what I used on my S4 and it worked perfectly. It states it's for the Galaxy S2 but it has been updated to work with Android JB 4.2.x and I used it without issue.

So I need to download a file manager from the play store right now and find that backup somehow, move it to external sd card. Then when I factory reset I download Nova launcher and when I hit restore my backup will be there?
Sent from my Verizon Galaxy S4
Use es file manager from the play store. Because I know that suits what you need
Then copy the backup to external sd using especially file manager
When you wrote and are ready to restore, put the files back how that are now, install nova prior and then restore from inside nova

Good luck! Reminder: backing up nova launcher will only keep the layout, apps and widgets wont be copied. But you will get icons for them even if they arent installed so you remember where they go. Use Titanium backup or Helium to backup apps/data c:

Removing all the bloat would probably be the number one thing people Will be doing.
But rooting allows so much more.

2. Get Google Wallet back.
3. Get all my Tasker scripts that required root working again.

I installed Wallet right from the Play Store... haven't rooted my phone yet.
1. Titanium backup
2. no more ads!
3. AutomateIt (it's like Tasker) now can control app specific GPS on/off toggle.
4. I'm going to debloat the crap out of the phone
5. GMD GestureControl (get my swipe to Alt-Tab between apps back)
I almost never get a phone before it's been rooted, and in the few days that I've used the note 3 without Root, I've come to realize that rooting is pretty important in my day-to-day usage.

Are you able to pay with Wallet? I thought we could install it but the Verizon Note 3 would not allow us to pay with it.

The Galaxy Note 2 does not have Android 4.4 KitKat support yet. Even the 4.3 builds aren't official as of the time of this posting. You should only install apk files compatible with your version of Android.
