I recently found out Google Now had a few cards like Vgames and TV shows. I was wondering how can I tell Google/Google Now what tv shows and the type of games I like. Also, is there a way I can connect Google Now to Pandora so it knows what music I like?
so there is no way?

Hello, first post here. Pretty new to the whole smartphone thing. Trying to get the allshare, specifically the screen share to work with my tv. I have an ethernet cord plugged into a samsung tv with allshare with the other end going into a wireless router. The phone and tv find each other and I can stream a movie without a problem. When I go down to the screen share option in the settings it says no device detected. I spoke with samsung a couple of times about it and they said the only way for that to work is with one of their wireless dongles. I find that hard to believe that I can stream movies but not share the screen but I'm also new at this so I was wondering if you had any insight. Thanks in advance
DLNA isn't made for screen sharing. It's just not...I've been using DLNA for a good while before I got a smartphone with that capability. It's really apples and oranges.
i don't understand why in the tv manual it would say that you could though. Just that my phone needs to have screen share on it. was hoping to browse the internet on my tv or play some emulators on it. has anyone else been able to do that with this phone?
ndavis, it seems you are thinking of the phone's tv out feature via 3.5 mm jack. You can't run emulators over DLNA.
i've been trying to figure out how to play videos on the phone (from my pc). the phone sees the videos, but when i try to stream them, it says "unsupported file format". I know that the file is supported because if i physically download it to my phone, it plays fine. Any ideas?
Ok seems from previous threads answers are a bit thin on the ground....
WE've got he Sky+ app to program n record via our phones but...
Since we've got the media capability - can we not use the Sky Player?
I notice on my pc i require Silverlight to be installed - what if i can this through a browser? or can this be ported into a specific app to log into this kind of thing?
It'd be amazing if i could get my Sky tv on my phone - not just see whats on.
Not supported by Sky, but you could always ask if its on their radar.
virgin Media are starting to support something along these lines so it is possible
Hey all,
I am very pedantic about everything on my tablet and was looking for a way to get the TV shows on my laptop to show up as TV shows on my tablet. I've got a mix of mkvs and m4vs. I've imported then into Media Go and sorted them all out as TV shows on there, but when I sync them to my tablet (internal or external storage), they only appear as movies. I've scoured the internet and found no answers, so I was wondering if anyone here knew a way around this. I know its a very small thing but I would appreciate it if anyone could help me.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can offer any suggestions on this.
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) and a Galaxy S3
I play music with Google Play Music on my tab, and I want to be able to control it (change track, playlists, etc) from my phone.
Both Android, both Samsung, same application. Surely there must be something out there that can do this.
Essentially I want to use my phone as a remote control.
Ive looked, and I cant find anything, short of installing an ugly VNC connection on the tab.
If not, has anyone ever considered looking into it?
Thanks
Howie
I don't think Play Music supports remote device controlling yet, as far as I know. This would have to be built into the app in much the same way TV pairing is built into the Youtube app and not the device itself. Or so I think, but I could be wrong.

there is a great remote app for grooveshark that does this. I have not found anything for play music yet.
Hello All! I am desperately trying to find a APK that will work to turn my Google TV into a ChromeCast receiver. Being that Google has cut the cord on Google TV and most all of its perks are gone ie. PrimeTime/TV Guide and slowly turning into a "dumb" TV. I really don't want to have to add a dongle to be able to add the functionality that they promised to add. I know there were things CheapCast that worked until Google updated Chromcast. I know there LocalCast and Allcast but I want to be able to directly cast to the TV. I also have Google Home so I would like to integrate it in as a cast option. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
