I noticed recently that I have two Google related networking services running constantly. They are GoogleLocationService and NetworkLocationService. Are both necessary? I remember only one was there before the new Google Services update. I also have noticed an increase in Android OS under Battery usage and a slight decrease in battery life. I think the two maybe related. Anyone have some insight?

I read that thread when there was only a few post. After reading the second page I see that it is pretty much the same thing. I'll move my discussion over there to keep chatter in one place. Thanks.
Thread closed to avoid duplicate the discussion, anyone with this same issue please go to the thread linked above.

I am on Energy 4/27 ROM. I noticed (on many occasions) that my screen will come on by itself and stay on (which is a huge battery drain of course). Has anybody experienced the same thing? If so any word of advice on cause and resolution.
I noticed this even when the phone is just sitting on the desk without being touched (so it is NOT like it was in my pocket where I can accidentally hit the power button to wake it
One thing in my setup that may have anything to do with it (though I doubt it) is the fact that I do not use lock screen at all. I installed "No Lock" app to disable lock screen all together.
I am suspecting I have some app that is misbehaving but how would I go about tracking it down?
Thanks for any insight or ideas on this issue in advance.
P.S.
I tried to search for this but did not find any similar problem postings (though it is a difficult one to search for due to too general words in description).
I noticed the same problem, haven't had it since I have started using different roms.

Do you mean you have had the same problem on Energy ROM but do not have it any more since you switched to a different ROM. If so which one are you on now? Thanks.

Hey all,
My Nexus 10 is on the way. I'll get it by the ed of next week.
What do I need to check for once I open the box? OK, besides the light bleeding...
What kind of precautions do I need to take with the Li-Po battery as to maximize its performance??
TYIA!!
Just got mine.

Back flex is a common issue. Other than that WiFi drops is another one to watch out for

I ran across a thread the other day that listed a bunch of fixes for things that Verizon disabled/blocked on the S4. I can't find that thread now, or even, frankly, remember what forum I found it on. I've searched here and on Rootzwiki and haven't found it yet.
Anyone seen/remember a thread like this?
Thanks!
The [PSA] List of all the differences on Verizon model ***Fixes Added*** seems to match your description. It's somewhat deep in the General forum.

You're a genius searcher...thanks very much!
Yesterday I flashed from a stock 4.1.2 to CleanROM 6.0 (4.3). I did a complete wipe of data, dalvik, cache, and system. Flashed from sdcard and then formatted the sdcard.
Since then HTC Sync Manager no longer recognizes the phone so I couldn't get my music back over. I guess I could just copy or use DoubleTwist or something.. but it was working with stock ROM.
Also, since then my GPS has gone to sh*t. Either not locating correctly or, when moving, freezing for approx. 30 to 60 seconds before moving towards the location. I did some searches and tried some things like wiping app data and cache, etc. but to no avail.
Has anyone else experienced either of these issues with CleanROM 6.0?
Thanks.
No... And it might be a good idea to just ask in the thread for that rom

Since you seem so sure of where this should have been posted, maybe you could enlightened me as to which thread you are speaking of.
This one?

Because I tried posting there and received: New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums.
That is why I posted here.
I don't mean to steer you away from clean rom but have you at least tried any of the other 4.3 roms to see if you have the same issues?

You wont find any pure google ROMS here. The closest you can get is LineagOS. Its AOSP based with a lot of upgrades, improvements and options.
EDIT: I asked the mods to move this thread.
