I didnt have a chance yet to test the universal on an odex rom. Can someone do it and report back?
I've attached a few things here that I did up quick, mostly for myself but if you want to use them, feel free.
They are for Deodexed stock roms only.
This first one replaces the GPS reticle in the status bar with a one pixel wide transparent image. It can be found here:

Could you help me do this? I'm not familiar with using smali. Maybe a step by step guide? I would like the gps icon removed without having the gap. Thank you

I take it this was for Deodex only? Didn't work with stock root.
Edit: Yea looked at zip. Deodexed guess tonight I'll get to downloading a deodexed rom.

Get this on the freaking Android Market as a paid apk as quickly as possible, and reap a little profit for y'all hard work.
You deserve it, and if other 3.0 themes can do well as paid apps with di%kish creators, just think how well this one could do. I just dl'ed the zip, but, yeah, I'd pay you for it as well. At least a donation link? (if you already have one up, sorry, checking now..)

The xml you need to modify is in systemui.apk res folder, layout, status_bar.xml if you guys don't get it done before I get home I'll post it up.

of course we will be implimenting these ideas to the THC theme as well, so if you have friends that would prefer a rather herbal theme let them know there is a second choice also!

yes it should work that way. unless that flash that you use has a different set of icons/pictures throughout it.

And if you have photoshop you can use it to make it transparent or find the Rom from that pic and pull it out of there

Does this Mod work for v1.4?
After I flash it on recovery, the phone works for maybe 5 seconds and then it boot loops, works for another 5 secs and boot loops. The only way to get out is to flash my nandroid backup.
Am I doing something wrong? It shoud just be flash and go right?

You are doing something wrong.

I emphasis v1.3...
If it doesn't work on 1.4 then don't use it.
I will update the MOD for you though..

yea, u can also just pull the one.png from my .apk and put in the v1.4 if u want updated .apk

It was not part of the selection over at UOT. It is using the stock 4G lte. If you point me to a theme that does I will figure out how to incorporate them

I did not use it on the stock ROM but I would think it will work. Make sure to do a Nandroid backup first.

You know I do not know why mine are green. I did not edit that when I made the update selections. Perhaps we are on different version of the TCP rom.

A dumb question but I have to ask, I have my phone set to be my alarm and so the ICON is on the screen. Do you have any alarms set? Try to set one to go off in the next hour or so... Just asking/checking.
There is not feasible way you would have different ICONs than I do. We will figure it out.

Ok thanks will set one alarm and will see.
Ok here is what i have. And i just rebooted and noticed bars are wipe again lol. I gave no idea what's going on and when i came back to tpc i did a back to stock and wipe and all that fun stuff and the re-flashed this. Ok here is the pic and alarm

Ehmm to the risk of sounding like a total idiot, I just flashed that zip I picked up
I gather that wasn't what I was supposed to do?
As long as you had all your settings in the UOT Kitchen right, it should flash outright. Did you select emmc in the settings? I believe it defaults to mdpi. That will get you a bootloop everytime.

I've honestly tried all the options..Phone just freezes on startup. I didn't see emmc in the settings. I do see mdpi hdpi or ldpi??

You're a savior!!! I just only wanted icons showing pink really. I like a pink theme. This shade of color #EEBBBB That's it If there really (and in no way necessary) needed to be another shade for other options #38042E. But again, I'm mainly interested in those status bar icons to change the color
I was having a retarded moment earlier. hdpi is what you want. For future reference, under the file upload tab make sure updater script type is EMMC.

Those look good but if that pink shade is used in background then icons wouldn’t show. Was hoping for icons of that color

I'll just explain this so everyone knows...
All those settings that i added in are already coded into the ROM, HTC/Verizon choose to have them hidden by default(i have no clue why)... So all i did was went into the smali code and turned them on then went into xml files and rearranged them
Any setting beyond those have to be manually added in which is a pain, but when i get a chance i'll try to do it... scrosler taught me how to do it a while ago

Any chance of you pointing me in the direction of getting systemui.apk decompiled? I've tried a few different versions apktools and just can't get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for what your doing.
Oh and one more thing I think your quick settings mod might be broke the systemui is in the framework folder not the app? Maybe just verify it if you want thanks again.

OK so I got it decompiled the information I have says the list was in /res/layout/quick_settings.xml but its not coded the same as the instructions I found. Any help?
