i have an LG optimus elite (virgin) and looking to root the device. im fairly noob, as ive only rooted 2 previous phones. everything ive found in web searches seems very complicated and im really not wanting to brick this phone. any one been successfull in rooting this device, and could possibly help me out?

Hi everyone, this its my first post in the XDA forums yey!!! And the question of the day from me is, is there a clean nice way to root the telus fascinate 4g??? I saw the other posts on it and some soft bricking was happening, not to nice. I tried super one click and it hung on the 6 th step. If anyone can help out or direct me in the right direction that would be great!!

Sorry, not at this moment.
There isn't a quick way to root 2.3.4 Gingerbread phones in general, and the T959P is more of a niche model.
I am in the exact same boat as you Greatcdn. I do not want to overclock my phone nothing like that I just want to be able to remove some files I cannot remove without having root on my phone.

I don't know how you rooted your other phones but because this one is very new phone the click and root does not work yet. There is a very detailed rooting procedure in the general section that will help you root.

No you cant. The exhibits cwm is just a modified version of another phones and that cwm is specific to those two phones.
I still have my exhibit for backup in case this things decides to die, Honestly I miss that phone just due to how easy doing anything to it was and that massive amounts of roms it had.
I rooted optimus l9 using lgpwn.apk my lol sister upgraded to v20h on it and I lost root. Is there anyway to regain root on this version of firmware? Pls help!!!

Do the same thing you did before to obtain root, worked for me on LG 4X.
Try to fix promission again.

Well I tried the same rooting process and it didn't work....also fix permissions didn't work. Maybe it's a easy fix and I'm just dumb lol any more ideas?

Root Loss After V20H Update
It's not good for u and I am sorry for u, but on the other side of that coin I'm glad I found this b4 I updated, because I would've been in the EXACT same spot. Good luck on getting out of ur mess!
Also, I was curious if u could use something like Voodoo to keep/restore root after such an update?
Same thing here! The method won't work with the v20h. Any workarounds?
