Estimated delivery of our update - AT&T HTC One (M7)

When do YOU think we will get our 1.29 update? Will they skip it and roll out an update when they deliver 4.2.2?

To be honest, I have no clue and don't care . I never wait for carrier updates anymore, just flash the international rom and get updates that way. Just my opinion.

Agreed. One of the main reasons I have this phone. International **** is way better.

I'd rather they just skip to 4.2.2 and get it to the international model for me to flash.

Oh GOD. PLEASE NO! NO NO NO!

I say meh..... It don't matter. We won't even be able to tell the phone updated until we read it in the about phone settings. I for one am totally over sitting around waiting for crappie carrier updates that only bring more bloat and potential bootloader locks. If version numbers are important to you, I would get a Nexus.
Although I can't stop checking XDA everyday to see if Team Venom dropped Viper One..... Its coming..... Oh its coming. I can't wait....... Its killing me.

I agree with you sentiment. I can't wait to get android 4.2. I'll get it early because I'm already using Cleanrom 2.5 which is 1.29 based. I know it will eventually go to android 4.2, I'll flash and then I doubt I'll notice it on a day to day basis. If I get a little better battery life, I'll be ecstatic.

So it is, I thought it had been updated to the 1.29 based kernel. I was flashing the ElementalX kernel over Cleanrom but didn't do it when he went to Cleanrom 2.5. Thanks for pointing that out, I was mistaken.

That doesn't mean you haven't spammed the forums with numerous threads that are of no value to anybody. If you don't have anything ACTUALLY useful to contribute then you should stick to lurking and flashing roms. And even if you did have something useful to say nobody was joking when they said delete your account and start over. You will likely never be taken seriously here.

[Q] Any news on the OTA ICS Update for the Thunderbolt?

as for my own personal experience, the Verizon techs are less intelligent and skilled then 99% of the people in these forums. the only answer I ever got out of them was "send it to us for warranty replacement", or "you must do a factory reset and then call us if the problem doesn't go away". One of them replied to my question about ICS with "what is Ice Cream Sandwich"
I prefer choco tacos over ice cream sandwich anyways... By the time that gets pushed, well probably take advantage of our new upgrades.

Well if you mean towards jelly bean, yes and no. I don't think we can get aosp jb as their wont be a kernel for it. I think since JB is closely related to ICs versus the big difference between GB and ICS that it wont be as hard to go from one to the other
Correct me if I am wrong here. Trying to answer based on what I skim and read.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Actually yes, Chad is working on the kernel/RIL issue. I talked to Dmaedows on twitter informed him of it, it was the first he heard of Chad's working on it. Tweeted back later, it seems the two are going to work together, or at the very least Dmeadows is going to merge his fixes with Chad to make something useable.
But as always, remain cautiously optimistic, no promises.
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/i7dae2
I doubt we'll get a fully working JB port any time soon, few months at best.
Last I read on the ICS RIL was the kernel source was needed so we are stuck waiting for the update to be release and the source to be posted on HTC's dev site shortly afterwards...
No idea if that's truly the hold up, just something I saw awhile back.

Have an HTC One coming next week and the idea of being able to replace it with stock Android makes it potentially much sweeter. I love the Nexus 4 performance and it does everything I want but I can't get over how nice the One is every time I hold it so I had to pick one up to try it out as my daily driver. Had a One X awhile back running Viper ROM which was very nice so I would imagine I can just run with the stock Sense until stock Android is available. Saves me from buying the Googled version of the One if HTC will be providing an update.
I could never give up Highlights & Zoe.
I'm fine with Sense. Just need root and I can do whatever I need.

For LG and Samsung. I've never worked on a HTC device. HTC is it's own beast. My first android device was the HTC evo on Sprint . That was my only HTC device. I've ever owned. I remember then certain it needed certain hboots n radio's. For certain roms. especially when it came to aosp. With Samsung and LG all you have to do is unlock the bootloader and have a recovery.

If I were you I'd wait until the 4.3 ota hits. Based on all the near final leaks recently, I'd say it very well could be only 1 or 2 weeks away.
That's what I'm doing anyway, that way ill have updated firmware without needing to s-off, but then again s-off might not be possible for a while on the new hboot.
So maybe don't wait if you want s-off right away haha.

No maybe because T-Mobile doesn't even have it yet, because it's still in testing, noob! You honestly have no clue what you are talking about, but go ask people like Mike1986 or or developers like that and tell them mugetsu666 told you to ask. Your "evidence" is the exact thing that proves that you are mistaken. T-Mobile ROMs are all numbered x.xx.531.x (ie 3.24.531.3), while HTC developer ROMs are all x.xx.1540.x (ie 4.06.1540.2).
I will explain this further to you so you don't make this mistake again, using the 4.06.1540.2 rom as an example. The version number breaks down as follows:
4.xx.xxxx.x = fourth Android base for device, in this case KitKat 4.4 (4.1.2, 4.2.2, 4.3, 4.4)
x.06.xxxx.x = Rom build
x.xx.1540.x = developer edition device
x.xx.xxx.2 = build reversion number
So, now, as you can see, it really doesn't matter what you THINK, you were in fact mistaken when you claimed the T-mobile variant of the ROM was available . It would have been big of you to just admit that you were mistaken and move on instead of posting here (and other threads) over and over to try and convince the rest of us you're right and in the process insulting others and calling them noobs.
Most of us know the real deal. To say your phone is untouched is just not accurate. You would not have received the OTA without modifying the device in some way. Now I'm not going to get into a debate with you about what you did or didn't do, though I'm sure you'll post back saying once again you've done nothing, the fact is your evidence is against you.

4.xx.xxxx.x equals android 4.4
x.06.xxxx.x equals Rom build
x.xx.1540.x equals developer edition device
x.xx.xxx.3 equals build reversion number
So, now, as you can see, it really doesn't matter what you THINK, you were in fact mistaken when you claimed the T-mobile variant of the ROM was available . It would have been big of you to just admit that you were mistaken and move on instead of posting here (and other threads) over and over to try and convince the rest of us you're right and in the process insulting others and calling them noobs.

You did to say untouched. You said ur not unlocked or on dev edition, that you were stock T-Mobile. So now you don't know what ruu you've run on ur phone which means you're at least unlocked and most possible S-off. I think it's best if you just stop now before other people really tell how You have No clue what you're doing or what you're talking about!
