Is your camera centered? - AT&T HTC One (M7)

The back camera lens on mine is eccentric, that is it's not centered. From other pictures/videos of others they are. Pics seem fine but was wondering if anyone else has seen this?

[Q] Does Atrix's camera show something like this?

Hello fellow Atrix users. I bought the phone recently from amazon. I have a question regarding the camera on Atrix. When i was taking the shot, I can see the dust like thing going on. However, after I took the shot, the pictures are pretty clear. The front VGA camera did this kind of thing also. Do yours act the same way?

Dust? Are you talking about the grainy effect? If that is what you are seeing, that is normal for auto-focus cameras.

100% correct. Even my $1000 DSLR with a $700 lens looks grainy when I use live view through the LCD (Which is why you almost never see any pro photographers use the LCD). Using a LCD screen (on any camera device) to see what you're shooting is more a general representation of what your aiming at than the actual outcome.

No.. it is not what i was talking about. The dust like thing is like you are watching a tv and something interference with it which causes it to show a lot of small dots coming up. it is something like this picture:
http 4 dot bp dot blogspot dot com/-Ri8h4lUS2L8/TX2lQDpwQEI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/e-kZtLL93LQ/s1600/IMG_4077 dot JPG
But after i took the pictures, and the photos are sent to the gallery, the picture is pretty clean and does not have this effect.
Edit: NVM.. i see your point... That means my Atrix is not a defective one! Yeah Thanks

I'm assuming it's the red-ish glow in the center? That's the only thing I notice other than my topic listed right by the mouse cursor...

Ahhhh...gotcha. I went back and looked at it again and noticed it this time. I just got my GS2 and it's still charging, but I'll take some pics when I turn it on and post back with the results.
Is this on all pictures you take?
Here's a picture I just took...

That's not as bad, but my Infuse had zero issues, same with my iPhone 3GS.
The lighting is pretty bad in this room as well, so that explains the difference between my photo and yours.
Edit: @SPIDERTECH: It seems to be on ALL photos in crappy lighting. Can't notice it during the day while outside.
Just googled the issue and there are tons of documented cases and complaints out there Seems to be an issue with the hardware.
Take a picture of something that isn't viewing-angle-dependent before claiming there's an issue please.
My first instinct is that the camera is somewhat IR-sensitive (this is EXTREMELY common in cell phone cameras due to lack of space for a hot mirror filter) and the screens being imaged have higher IR content when viewed dead-on. (In both pictures, the red spot appears where the camera is viewing the screen dead-on. In the first picture the camera was centered in front of the screen, in the second the camera was at the lower right aimed up and left.)

That explains a lot.....So it's not a hardware fault? Just a limitation?
Mine done the red thing with taking a pic of my screen but here is a pic I took outside

I'll take a further look at it tonight, but IR sensitivity is not exactly rare in digital cameras, especially cheaper/smaller ones. Good hot mirrors (IR-blocking filters) cost money AND they're large.
Yeah I have the same problem, I took pictures of the tile floor at my parents house, and it had a red center to it also, is their a way to fix this?
Also for the love of god, why does this video camera not have image stabilization? every video is shaky as hell.

Red Skin Color with Camera

When I take pictures of certain people with my camera, their skin appears much more red than it should while in auto mode, but switching the mode to portrait fixes it. Anyone else have a similar issue?

Yes, thought my daughter looked sunburned on stock settings. I just backed the saturation setting down a notch and the pics seen more natural looking now.

if you are looking at the images using your phone they will look too saturated. its the phone screen it tends to over-saturate colors. If you look at the same image on your computer you will notice that they look much more natural. something to keep in mind, since people will be looking at the things you share via a computer and not your phone. so if you adjust to make them look ok on your phone you are going to make them look not that great on a computer.

[Q] Camera lens glass is cracked?

Recently, I tried taking some photos with my Note and noticed they were really distorted. Upon looking a bit more, there is a crack on the lens! I have no idea how, or why this happened. Any ideas to fix it?
Edit - I'm refering to the glass above the actual camera.

[Q] S6 Edge rattle?

Err - does anyone else notice a rattle when you shake your S6 Edge? Right now i'm guessing/hoping that it is the OIS on the camera but I kind of wanted to make sure. I know some other phones have a similar noise and that is due to the camera.
I was going to say it'll probably be the camera, the wife's S5 does it. Turn the camera on and test, if like the s5 it'll stop rattling when the camera is active. I'm getting my edge tomorrow so will test.
OIS might be doing that.
here we go who sits and shakes there phone its not a kids rattle so no need to shake it lol
Remove sim and try to shake.
Remove sim and try to shake.???
Hey all, it's definitely the camera - when it's on it doesn't happen. Seems like its normal, does it happen to everyone else?
