Hey guys,
Just got my HTC one today. Trying to root it.I already unlocked the bootloader. And installed twrp. But when I go into recovery and try to do a backup of stock, there's no backup data option. So I tried to install the superSU from internal storage and theres no files at all. Says internal storage 0mb.

Says unable to mount internal storage. When in twrp
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
erase cache with all in one toolkit and i would recommend using cwm non touch
Did you figure it out?

Hello guys,
the site has been very helpful to me thus thank you all who contribute..
I had rooted my phone with CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4 and everything was ok. (Supersu, CWM) After that i have updated offical JB via kies and rooted the phone again in order to have CWM and supersu again. There was no problem with the the second root but when i enter the CWM it says;
"this version of CWM Manager should be used with CF-CWM V1.1 or newer. It appears you are running a different recovery. Variosuy feature have been disabled." I have flashed a newer version of CWM but the result was the same.
The backup menu that i had after first root was disapperared. When i tried to get backup via recovery mode is says "cant mount backup path" and i can not get backup...any help would be appreciated.
cwm app is not compatible with jb, boot into recovery with 3 button combo and all is normal
Thanks but when i boot into recovery mod and try to get backup, it says "cant mount backup path" is this because of no external sd card is installed ?

not sure to be honest,I use an older version so can't really say, but mine works fine
Anyone can help?

You are getting the error because you don't have an external sd card. Try using the "backup to internal sd card". That should help you I think.
Quick question,
I'm coming from an s2 and with ss devices the internal storage is put in a separate partition.
When I flash roms am I just to format the system folder and flash?
I just want to avoid a complete format like when I unlocked my bootloader.
Thanks

If you want to keep app data between roms, just format cache and system partitions. If you want to do a clean install you can also use the factory reset option to format data partition.

Basically i went to flash a Rom in my phone, one of the requirements for the Rom was to format system. Not looking I, formatted SD card instead. Erasing my backup i had just made, and whipping the Rom that I was about to flash. So, what I need help with is seeing if anyone know a way to flash a Rom to my phone while in recovery, or is there a way to mount my SD Card memory while in Fastboot or recovery? I'm just looking to be able to flash any Rom in my phone to at least get it able to be used again.

twrp, i did have clockwork recovery at first but adb flashed twrp hopping they had a mount sd function
Okay, boot into twrp, then hit mount, then hit mount USB storage. Plug it into your PC and re-copy your rom of choice.

When i click mount, it only comes up with the option to mount system, mount data, and mount cache. Is there a newer version of twrp? The version i have is called Team Win Recovery Project v2.3.2.0
There should be a little box you can check towards the bottom of the screen

I am changing my ROM, done with nandroid backup. I want to know how to format internal storage? What is the procedure? Plz help as urgently as possible
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
When changing roms i always read the installation instructions found in the OP. Its always done via CMW and is along these general actions.
1 wipe user data
2 format system (mounts and storage)
3 wipe dalvik cache. (advanced)

I found the basic ROM installation procedure there. But one of my frnd on this site told me to wipe internal and external storage. Currently m using resurrection remix ROM latest version, and which is not allowing me to go in to setting-storage. Every time it says unfortunately storage has stopped. So need to know what are the other procedures

Go to CWM Recovery --> Mounts and Storage --> format /emmc (internal storage) and format /sdcard

Although you already have your answer, why would you want to format your internal and external storage? Absolutely no need for that if you're flashing something. Just saying.

You don't have to do anything just select full wipe in your aroma installation it'll do everything for you... In your case did you flash any mods? Any third party keyboards?

Whenever you flash roms you must format all partitions so data isn't left behind. When data is left behind, problems will occur on the rom you just flashed.
If you want to backup your room just make a internal SD backup via nandroid. If you want to restore it later just format all partitions again and go nandroid and choose restore. Your backup should be there.
And you shouldn't format the internal SD card since you lose data. Only format if it becomes corrupt (doesn't mount or work properly).
