Hey Folks,
I'm Freaking out atm -.-
On Saturday my Phone just shut down, restartet and hung in a bootloop. Doing Wipes and Factory Resets didnt helped me. So i pulled the last Joker and flashed as its metioned here. First few Times nothing happend (But ODIN gave me PASSED after Procedure).
Today I tried again with Odin 3.04, Firmware from the Thread (and Vodafone GER Firmware, Factory Reset / Wpies via Android Recovery) and Wooooooow, Phone is booting. BUT its just booting up, I can make some Settings like Choose Language, Connect to WiFi and so on. After ~30 Seconds the Phone reboots, 3-6 Times, then its stucks on Bootanimation (not looping). After a while Phone gets hot on the Bottom.
Soooooo, any can tell me whats wrong with my Buddy?
Cant send it to Service cause i cannot reset the flashcounter (cant install Apps due to the lack of time phone is active)
Im able to root Phone again / replace stock recovery with CWM -Maybe flashable Zip for resetting the counter?
Installing CustomRom will give me a Loop on Splash Screen
I need my freakin Phone
Cheers
try formatting entire phone(all the internal memory) from cwm recovery. then install a stock rom via odin.

Okay What I did:
- Stock Vodafone Germany ROM is installed (but not booting right)
- Rooted with CF-Root 6.4 via Odin again - now i can access CWM Recovery
- Wiped everything (system, data, cache, dalvik, battery, preload)
- Flashed Stock ROM via Odin
- Recovery Droid showed up with blue loading bar under it
- Phone is running blue samsung bootanimation twice
- Phone gives me bootsplashloop twice
- Phone shows blue bootanimation and gets stuck on breathing samsung logo (last part of the bootanimation), blue notification LED is breathing
any guess?
after flashing stock ROM via Odin, go to the stock recovery and do a factory reset

Now its looping the bootsplash 3 or 4 times and than Screen turns black.
After wiping Dalvik, and Factory Reset again Phone boots to Bootanimation (Samsung Logo breathing), Bootanimation starts a Second Time Without Sound, than Boot Splash, Bootsound and blue Bootanimation again.
Sometimes with Graphical glitches (the blue circle around samsung text)
But going not further than Bootanimation, no System showing up
is the phone model name (i9300) present in download mode?
aslo, does the recovery say anything about the efs folder?

Yep, Model Name is visible in Download Mode.
Odin Mode
Product Name: GT-9300

What should the Recovery say about EFS-Folder? Or where can I find some Info about?

Oh, wow, cant enter Stock Recovery now...... god damnit -.-

Hi there,
I got my SGS3 on Friday, it took two hours until I got bored and rooted it.
First everything was fine, I was using CWM (installed via ROM Manager) and tried some ROMS.
Today, when I wanted to flash CWM Touch via ROM Manager, the phone rebooted and since then in stuck in a boot loop.
There was no error during the process, according to ROM Manager the recovery was properly flashed. All I can do is entering the Download Mode.
I tried to flash two different stock images via ODIN3 (v3.07) but the phone keeps rebooting, even when i try to repartition it using "GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit". I can boot the phone into recovery, I can see the recovery for a short moment and then the phone reboots. I made it to flash CWM 6.0.3.1 via ODIN, and when booting into recovery then I can see that it worked, but after a second the phone reboots.
Currently I'm downloading a 3-part/3-files factory image, hoping this can help. According to what I've read on the forums so far I don't think it will change anything, but who knows... Any other suggestions?

rom manager is not supported on all the phones. probably that should have damaged your phone. hope you get your phone working. good luck :good:
I was using CWM (installed via ROM Manager)
Remove rom manager .
CWM says
Not compatible with ROM Manager !
That is if you recover from damaged pit .

Hey guys,
thanks so far... According to the CWM homepage the SGS3 is supported, in fact there's current even a newer CWM version available for SGS3 than for GNEX.
Fortunatly I just made it to un-soft-brick the device:
- Removed the battery for a few minutes, then placed it back in the phone (for some reason the phone often booted as soon as the battery was back in its place, so I had to be quick).
- Tried to reboot into recovery again, holding "Vol+"+"Home"+"Power" until the recovery showed up, and the phone rebooted.
- Kept on holding "Vol+"+"Home"+"Power" until recovery showed up again, for some reason the phone didn't reboot this time, and then I released all buttons.
- Thanks to ODIN I could now use CWM 6.0.3.1 to flash S4 Revolution (by Elegant Team) from my internal storage, rebooted the phone and it worked. All my data was still in place, so it seems all my attempts to flash the stock images via ODIN did not succeed, save for the stock recovery.
Crap, I was really afraid of having my brand-new SGS3 hard-bricked only a few days after delivery. With my HTC Desire HD it took me almost 6 months to cause the first almost-brick.
There's only one thing I can image with ms SGS3 that might have affected the CWM / ROM Manager flash - I was running a S4-ported ROM ("S4 Revolution"), because this makes "TriangleAway" recognize it as "I9500" phone, so I cannot reset the counter at the moment.
But ROM Manager always showed "GT-I9300"... So in the end I've no clue what has happened so far.

don't use rom manager
I've seen several similar threads and I've tried pretty much everything.
The problem is simple. I woke up this morning with my phone plugged in the charger, stuck in a reboot loop. It boots to the Samsung logo and then restarts.
The phone was rooted a long time ago and was running the following software:
- ROM: GT-I9300_XEO_I9300XXELKC_I9300OXXELK4_I9300XXELKC
- ROOT: CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4
Download and recovery mode works just fine, and I've been able to backup the date on the phone.
Download mode info:
- ODIN MODE
- PRODUCT NAME: GT-19300
- CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (4 counts)
- CURRENT BINARY: Custom
- SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
What I've tried:
- Updated CWM to: recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.1-i9300
- Flashed to cm-10.1-20130621-NIGHTLY-i9300
- Flashed to cm-9.1.0-i9300
- Reflashed the old ROM I was currently using
- Factory reset of phone
- Cleared cache + dalvik cache
Yet, the problem persists (no changes in behavior at all).
So, am I out of luck here?
Thanks in advance.

what about flashing stock rom through odin? you really don't need to flash CM 9 roms because they might have SDS threat!

Can you boot into recovery?? I don t think the recovery that comes with CF-Root 6.4 is SDS safe.
EDIT : - I see you can boot into recovery. Flash your original ROM using recovery and reboot to stock recovery and wipe data.
Also, can you acknowledge whether you had insane chip or not??
After trying several other ROMs I was finally able to get past the Samsung logo with the following stock ROM:
I9300XXEME2_I9300TENEME2_TEN
So I guess it was just a matter of finding a ROM that could properly reset everything. Thanks for making me try more ROMs!
Hey guys,
I flashed GlamourROM for Android 4.3 yesterday. It was working perfectly, so I decided to delete an old backup from recovery. I have ClockworkMod v6.0.4 running on the phone. The phone was rebooting perfectly prior to this, so I didn't see any reason to worry when I rebooted it into recovery. This is when the problem started.
The phone shows the Samsung S3 splash screen, displays the Clockwork hat logo for a split second (black background, not even the usual greyish) and then bootloops (times infinity).
I tried cold reboot, hard reboot and every other trip I could think of. The phone does go into download mode, so that's still there. Any help is welcome ... I'm really worried about this.
Flash another recovery via odin.

Hey, I flashed the stock firmware (that I downloaded from sammobile) and it passed! But this was a short-lived relief, because now its stuck in the logo bootloop - without the clockwork mod logo, so a small win there, I guess!
Now what?

I've got a SGS2 from a friend that is stuck on the Samsung logo (the one after the boot logo, with the swirl/pulse logo). I cannot get into recovery nor download mode with the volume up (down) + home + power key combination but I do get into download mode with a USB JIG. I am certain that the phone was pure stock and fairly certain that it had Android 4.1.2 on it before I got it.
I followed the
[GUIDE] Fix an unflashable or soft bricked GSII. I used the I9100XWLSD firmware, but I remained stuck on the Samsung logo. I also flashed the Kernel (nothing changed) and the Bootloader (+ Kernel + Firmware again) as mentioned in the thread above, but still nothing changed, i.e. stuck on logo, no recovery or download mode via key combo.
Last thing I tried is the Siyah S2-v6.0beta5 Kernel as mentioned here. Now I am stuck on a 'Android gets updated, Apps are opened' screen.
Questions
What else can I try?
Ideally I would like to get access to the internal memory, because there is still stuff on there that was not backuped. What that still be possible?
If I would get it back to run I would like to put CM11 on it.
Thanks!

Did you hold the button combinations when your phone is off for more than 4 seconds? If you flash a kitkat kernel that is newer and doesn't support jellybean (I know this sounds crazy, but just listen), your phone should automatically boot into the recovery after being unable to boot into the rom. Have you done a factory reset and wipe the cache partition yet? Do that in the recovery and flash the jelly bean kernel again.

Yes, I almost got blisters on my fingers, thats how often (and long) I tried it. Also released the power button but continued to hold vol-up+menu as soon as the boot screen showed up.

Does sound a little crazy indeed, but it also makes sense to add such a feature (i.e. boot into recovery if rom isn't present). Any particular suggestion for a KitKat kernel or should I just pick one of those mentioned here?

Nope, no recovery, ergo no factory reset (or is there another way with a softbricked phone?)
Anyway, that would delete the userdata from the phone as well (e.g. photos), correct? Or are they already gone due to my rom flashing etc.? Oh wait, there is this difference between internal memory and internal usb storage, right?
Update
So I could not decide which one of Kitkat Kernels mentioned here to take. But I tried flashing the CWM recovery files, both GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9.tar and CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.tar, with Odin. Flashing went fine, but on boot I only see the bootlogo and then the screen went black.
Any suggestion on what other kernel I could try would be welcome.

The guide which you used for flashing the kernel was for GB and ICS. Now as you have stated your friend's phone is running on JB.
I think you have not rooted your phone correctly but if you have done so try going into download mode thru Usb Jig and install the latest cwm recovery and flash a custom rom (don't flash cm11 directly)

Yes, I realized that I probably used the wrong kernel from the guide, but AFAIK the I9100XWLSD firmware also contains a kernel, so that should not be a problem (i.e. the kernel was flashed again when I flashed the firmware). I did try the CWM recovery (see my edit above), but to no avail, since I does not take me into recovery mode either. (I assume that you mean that I should flash CM11 from the CWM, not through Odin).

Anybody else with an idea?
Hi
I'm on 5.0.2 rooted with ping pong root and stock recovery, knox still 0x0 that's why I haven't updated to 5.1.1
Just an hour ago phone went off and in the begining I was able to boot normally but it was stuck and reseted itself 2-3 mins after getting into the system....
At that time I was able to get into recovery and download mode normally
I decided to wipe cache partition just to see if it fixes anything so from that time it's stuck on samsung logo
I used odin to reflash stock rom but without better results, only thing changed is that when I get into recovery a dead android with a yellow triangle (not the red one inside android little man, just a yellow one connected to the android little man with a dotted line if this matters at all) appears before the recovery menu
Download mode still says "Current binary: Samsung official" and "System Status: Custom" just like before the odin flash
1) Only solution now is factory reset from inside recovery??
2) Can I get my files from inside somehow before factory reset or recover them just after the factory reset? It's 6 months without a backup now....
Thanks for your time

This is why you always keep a backup.
No backup = i don't care abut my data.
You might find with remaining files that stock firmware over the top doesn't help. Try flashing something newer like 5.1.1 or 6.0.1 . Will lose ping pong with a newer version. But speed and battery life are like 10x better.
I was always keeping a backup every month or two, it's the first time (and the last) I haven't done so for 6 months
I can't go with a newer version because I'm using SmartView app to stream my TV to my phone and it needs stock kernel which can't be used if rooted with a 5.1.1 or newer version

Try this,it uses stock kernel
1. First do a factory reset.
2. If that doesn't help try a newer MM stock ROM.
3. Claim warranty.
4. No warranty? => Custom ROM
Even after factory reset, it is stuck after 1 min of getting into the system
Same thing happens when in recovery menu (I also get dm-verity verification failed), it is stuck after seconds....I don't understand....I even tried reflash stock fw of course....same thing happens....I barely get into the system home screen and then it freezes...only thing that is not stuck is Download mode which works....
If I let it on charger switched off it switches on by itself...getting into home screen and freezes after 1 min....
I also tried nand erase all from odin...results are the same...
What is wrong?
Please anyone help...
