Since I can't post in the development forum, I figured I'd post here and see if someone can relay it to the official Droid Razr CM10.1 thread.
Flashed RC4 today and enabled the LTE quick settings tile. Turning off LTE works fine as it just sets the network mode to CDMA/EvDo. However, turning it back on is an issue. The default LTE mode is Global, which is LTE/CDMA and the Droid Razr uses the LTE/CDMA/EvDo configuration when LTE is enabled. This means the LTE quick settings toggle isn't actually turning on LTE, so it stays in 3G mode.
I dug around in the CM10.1 codebase and found this method which eventually gets called when the tile is toggled.
github.com/CyanogenMod/android_packages_apps_Phone/blob/cm-10.1/src/com/android/phone/PhoneInterfaceManager.java (ctrl-f toggleLTE)
In order to get the Droid Razr to correctly turn on LTE, we need to set
ro.config.qc_lte_network_modes = true
in the system.prop file in "github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_motorola_spyder/blob/cm-10.1/system.prop"
I don't know if this has any other repercussions, and I'm not set up to do cyanogenmod development so I can't verify that this will work, but I figured somebody else who knows more about the code base might have the answer.
I'm having this issue as well. Any known fix for the tile? I can flip 4g back in by changing the network mode option in settings.

Goto Market and download LTE OnOff app. run the program and select CDMA + LTE/EvDo Auto and hit Ping... This should put you back on the LTE network.
Los Angeles 4G is back.
I hope this help.
Are you rooted?? most roms right now have that built into the settings/wireless&networks/radio info
Yes I'm rooted, I have tried the LTE app, but they won't change these settings as they are deeper in the phone, and not Rom based, I changed them to get 3g yesterday when Verizon didn't pay their bill, and lost service, changed rev a to enable, but today changed it back to ahrpd, hit commit, and still only connected to CDMA Rev a, not ahrpd.

Still cant figure out why i cant get ahrpd only rev a, even flashed a new radio! May have to do a factory reset

I am not sure they have ehrpd running. I have been on settings on ehrpd since they fixed network and when I hit 3G it still says I'm connecting to rev. a
Yea I'm still sitting on rev a, thought it was a phone issue, but its a network thing, Verizon only paid half of their bill, just enough to have basic service without the FEATURES! lol......

what does the ping do?
As stated in the title, the preferred network type for my phone changes from "CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto" to "CDMA auto (PRL)" on its own. This can be seen as follows:
1. Navigate to Wireless & networks --> Radio Info (or use LTE OnOFF app to access the Phone Information page)
2. Change "Set preferred network type" to "CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto"
3. Sometime later (like 10-15 mins), navigate back to Wireless & networks --> Radio Info (or use LTE OnOFF app to access the Phone Information page) and "Set preferred network type" will be now set to "CDMA auto (PRL)"
I am currently using the Synergy ROM (r259) based off of the 2.11.605.0 leak with the 1.48.00.0817r and 0.001.78.0802w_3 CDMA and LTE radios. I am also in a 3G only area.
So, my questions are:
1. Is this supposed to happen? In other words, is the phone switching to "CDMA auto (PRL)" on its own because I am in a 3G only area?
2. If not, how can this be fixed?
Any help would be much appreciated.
I've been having the same issue. I was in a 4g area and it would show it bit then go back to 3g . Radio info showed it went to a different setting on its own.

So, it seems that this issue is Synergy related. I tried other Sense 3.0 Gingerbread ROMs based off of 2.11.605.0 (e.g. BAMF Forever 1.0.6) with the radio I was using with Synergy and this issue does not occur (it stays locked onto the setting I set it to).

I can confirm that its not just Synergy roms.I'm running SHIFTS3NS3 theory Rom its also 3.0 Sense based running the same radio as Steve and I've noticed the same change.
I'm about to flash the latest radios to see if it fixes it.will report in the morning

Motorola Razr HD CyanogenMod 11 (epinter) 4.4.2 presenting same issue
Same issue here. I also noticed that the phone briefly loose signal, stays with no signal for like 5 seconds, goes on with 3G and then the setting under "preferred network" switches to 3G briefly after that.
Also noticed that switching to 4G makes no effect, and if you goes out of the settings screen and gets back on it, you see "3G". If I switch to 2G, then 4G followed by a reboot it works fine for a while on 4G, then, suddenly (and I couldn't find a pattern), the symptom occurs.
where is 4g toggle? I tried downloading a widget for it, it didnt work. on my old evo, and evo 3d, there was a mobile internet toggle, wifi toggle, and 4g toggle, I could get service from all 3 (wifi provided I was near a router obviously), but now I only see 3g in the drop down bar. network mode is set to lte/cdma. is it possible my area doesnt have LTE yet, so I cannot receive 4g signal at all? even so, then why isn't there a separate toggle for it?
one more unrelated question regarding meanrom:
I remember seeing a bunch of people talking about something they flashed on top of meanrom which had a bunch of customizations and tweaks, mainly overclocking adjustments. there was a huge thread on it with people all claiming they couldn't imagine using the phone without it now, it was so much smoother, etc, but I can't seem to find it anymore. anyone know what that was, and if it was worth it?
There is no toggle, i tried a few but none worked, go to settings, network there you can set it to cdma or cdma/lte, you really don't need to turn it off it does not effect your battery life

Anyone know how to toggle 3g now? I would like to use it as default and only enable LTE when needed because the battery drain is crazy for LTE. However, as we all known, the dropdown 3g toggle is not there. I see an access point menu but whenever I select EHRPD the phone remains on 4G. Is there a way to get the EHRPD selection to "stick" or is there another way to solve this?

depends on what your running, and what provider you have. Most cases can be fixed with a LTE toggle app from the market. This doesn't work with Verizon on stock rom (last time I checked). However, I have Verizon with Note II running liquidsmooth android 4.2.2, and for me it's as simple as setting CDMA/EVDO under settings > wireless & networks > More... > mobile networks > network mode

Okay. I am using Jelly'Beans' rom for Verizon's Note II. But the toggle for CDMA is removed in there. So should I ask for it in that thread?

bump.
I am using the same rom, and would love to have this functionality as 3G works better at my work than 4G.

Found the old phone info app online and that took care of the issue. The new phone info app on the market does not have the capability to set network modes.

Power Toggles maybe?
I tried posting an answer in the beanstalk thread but got denied as I am a new member.
I had issues connecting to 4G using the Beanstalk 4.4.285 Uber kernel where I could not get LTE and when I went into mobile settings and clicked network type the only option I would see is 3G or 2G. If you have this issue as well (I noticed others have) I have posted a simple solution below.
I did two things to fix this issue in the phone settings.
1. Get into phone settings by typing "*#*#4636#*#*".
2. Click phone settings and change the network type near the bottom (mine was set to WCDMA Only) to the network type you prefer (I changed mine to LTE/GSM/CDMA AUTO).
3. I doubt this last thing is necessary but I changed it anyways which is click the menu items in the top right corner. Click select band and change it from auto to your band type (in my case it is USA).
Hope this helps!

Galaxy S 4G doesn't support LTE, it basically has HSDPA and HSDPA+ the best setting is to have it set on auto gsm/wcdma. You may want to update the apn since i think the default runs on metropcs apn. Beanstalk 4.4.4 will be out within the next few days. Check this url to look for roms from me:
thinkotbs dot com slash tombell
I compiled slimkat, which is also on that site.... which credits go to DJL for whipping that up. any suggestions i may be making carbon rom too.
err my bad i thought this was sgh-t959v forum
