Get a free lifetime Cerberus license, a highly regarded security app. The catch is it must activated on your device today. The last time this was offered was back in February. So what are you waiting for? Go get it
Well thank you! Just picked this up, with a feee license as far as I can tell.
If you already have this on your phone and you only had the trial. Make another account on a different phone as the device ID will make it impossible to make another one on your phone. So make the account on another phone and you'll be golden.

Thanks bro.
This is awesome Thank you OP.
Question: When I change devices will I still be able to use it?

Ummm...that is a good question. Idk if the purchase is tied to your Google acct and available to install on any device, or tied to a specific device ID. If I had to wager, I'd say you must buy a license for each device, but this is the first time I have installed it. Does anyone else know?

Had it on my Evo 3D and currently have it on my GN2.
Straight from the playstore:
Cerberus is a complete anti-theft application, the best protection you can get to recover your misplaced, lost or stolen Android device. This is a free trial for one week, then you can buy a lifetime license for a small price (2.99€) from within the application: no monthly or yearly fees, just a one-time payment. License is associated to your Cerberus account, if you have multiple devices you can use all of them (up to 5) with the same account.
Lol didn't read that far. Thanks
thanks for posting this, got an account for both my wife and I.
If the phone is lost, can the person that found the phone wipe data and install new rom to remove Cerberus?

If they install a new rom it'll remove Cerberus. If it's just a factory reset Cerberus won't be removed(if you're rooted).
Thanks for posting this. I just installed and got this set up on my phone. I installed it on my wife's phone through the Play Store website since she is at work right now. I'll set it up on her phone tomorrow when I can get my hands on it.
So just to understand, I login on her phone with my account, correct? That would be 2 of the 5 phones that can be set up, right? I'll buy the license in a few days.

Well i think you could get asurion on your plan. If you don't have it. They might replace it. When i got my cliq dt stolen they were gonna replace it for 50 and it was from craigslist so it might work.

Unless they have changed the policy, when you try to add insurance onto an existing device they will require you to either
A: Receive/Place a phone call to verify you have the phone.
B: Take the Phone to an authorized T-Mobile store for inspection to make sure it is in full working order.
C: All of the above.
More than likely you are SOL my friend. Sorry to hear you got your phone jacked. That sucks.
SOL, that blows man....

Well, another Vibant is out of my budget. I guess I'll have to find someone that wants to upgrade their plan and pay them for their extra one.
T-Mobile isn't going to care enough to give me the info on the person using the phone now.
haet lief.
Does it have really good porn lol? or the stealer will flip dead if not
Mine has a little kaboom built in just in case lol
Do yourself a huge favor.....
Install the app "Estrong Security Manager" on the phone. You can render it useless (well basically, untill they re-install another ROM) but if they flip the simcard out or if you send a secret SMS to the device - it locks it......
Try it out - it's free.
I know it's too late now since your phone is gone - but for the future...

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for my next phone.
Maybe I can even push the app into system files so it'll even survive a wipe. I was just careless, guess you gotta learn. I won't run into a deal like the one I got for my old phone again, kid was a hardcore junkie and needed money so we traded my G1 + 80 dollars for the Vibrant originally.
Guess I better change my gmail password and facebook password, fml.
This is probably karma for ripping off a drugie, lol.
Just as the question states, I was going to go to the Sprint store on my way to work this evening and buy a Evo 3D. However the Sprint account is in my wife's name. I have been able to go up to the same store and upgrade her line for her, get our phones repaired etc. But this will be my first time charging a phone to it.
But my question is, since the account is in my wife's name. Does she has to be present in order for me to bill the account?
The store is an hour drive away for us. But it's near where I work. That's why I wanted to do it then.

If you have the password and pin # to the account you should be all set at any Sprint store. A phone call would be my first choice,to the closest Sprint store.
That's what I was told. As long as you have the pin you should be good. Like Wiley said tho, a phone call wouldn't hurt

You shouldn't have a problem. Our phones are in my wife's name because she works for a company that gives us a 23% discount on our bill. Yet I was able to upgrade our phones, swap our numbers around, change phones, etc.
I never needed a bill or anything. Just my name and our account pin number/password.
I called them and asked and they said my wife has to be present. I think they will let me get it though. They know me on a first name basis. I think when I called them though, they had no clue who it was or whatever. But I'll just stop by and see. If they say I need her, then we'll just order online.

He checked my DL for my info and boom...just like that i had the evo. Of course i had to provide the security pin as well. But i had no issues what so ever. As soon as i walked in there they all greeted me. I had a felling though if i go up there and they see my face , theyll recognize me and sell it to me.
Nevertheless, thanks for everyones input

It is NOT stealing. Terms below explicitly state login on an lg device. I removed my posts because I dont like being branded a thief.
Do what you want. I just saw an opportunity to help people get a nice storage account.

Make sure you read the fine print because if it was like Samsung's offer the 50GB Dropbox is only for a limited time then you have to pay for the service.

A lot of storage. The only downfall is that the max file size is 250 megs. It registers you as a personal account so no getting around that as far as I know.

White the Sprint Note 3 does have NFC, it doesn't seem like Google Wallet supports it for NFC payments.

Oh don't worry...I'm sure it will be supported in a year or so, just as you're trading it in for the Note 4! I'm not sure what the holdup is honestly. Had Google Wallet on my S3 for a few months and loved it. Got Note2 and unsupoorted, had to go back to swiping plastic! Now Wallet just began being supported on Note2 and I upgrade to the Note3. Maybe we switch to Verizon and try Isis?
I was mad on other phones that weren't supported at 1st after having it on another device for a while..Bur now I don't care anymore.I only used it at 7 Eleven and McDonald's. it's still way faster to just swipe your card.

I just got my hands on an ISIS SIM card. So, I figured, OK... I can't use Google Wallet (preferred choice, obviously), but at least I can use my phone to pay for stuff without rooting. Right? WRONG!! At present time, ISIS works ONLY with Chase and American Express, whereas Google Wallet partnered with... yeah... EVERYONE! So, yet again, another slap in the face from carriers.

I don't think Google partnered with anyone. I think they just allow any debit card because their MO is to gradually infect the market with its product until it is universal and all the competitors are out of business, while ISIS follows the "generate revenue now so we can have a good presentation at the next shareholder meeting". But anyway, coincidently my only two cards are a Chase debit and Amex credit, but regardless I'm sticking with Sprint for now because it's the cheapest option with adequate coverage in my area. So if Google ever gets its stuff together before the Note 4 comes out, I will be happy camper blowing the minds of unsuspecting cashiers!

Yes, unfortunately you will look quite stupid...since the NFC feature (tap and pay) is not enabled in Google Wallet on the GN3. A google rep informed me via email to expect an update soon (within weeks) that will add more compatible devices, so we'll see. But as the previous poster said, until you see the "tap to pay" feature enabled in "about" on the Wallet app on your phone, you will just hold up the line at your local Walgreens and make a fool out of yourself. Trust me...I'm speaking from experience!

How? Please share your secret...I just checked the website and Note3 still not listed under compatible devices. I would love to have this feature back before I get a Note4!
I flashed to cyanogenmod 11. It is in the development section. The Kat Kat ROM has an NFC emulator that that allows Google wallet to work. What this means is now Google does not need the carriers permission to install Google wallet on devices so now all the new devices that have Kit Kat and the newer operating systems will have Google wallet working out the box.

Cyanogenmod is the way to go!

here is a site just put up by LG for their device loaner program. you basically sign up for it, say which phone you want and they send it to you. the catch is you only get to keep it for 30 days and you have to pay for the shipping to send it back. but it's a great way for some other dev's to jump into our side of the xda community. i wonder if dev's would be able to get an extension if they needed it past the 30 days.

They want apps created specifically for the G2, meaning you won't be finding them on the Play Store anytime soon with this offer so I'm guessing they want apps that take advantage of the hardware in the G2 by design - this isn't just a loaner phone to test any Android apps at all...
You will be required to pay $600 which will be returned when you return the device. I cant see many people doing this just to use the device for 30 days. I hope it increased development but I doubt it will.
