Oh don't worry...I'm sure it will be supported in a year or so, just as you're trading it in for the Note 4! I'm not sure what the holdup is honestly. Had Google Wallet on my S3 for a few months and loved it. Got Note2 and unsupoorted, had to go back to swiping plastic! Now Wallet just began being supported on Note2 and I upgrade to the Note3. Maybe we switch to Verizon and try Isis?
I was mad on other phones that weren't supported at 1st after having it on another device for a while..Bur now I don't care anymore.I only used it at 7 Eleven and McDonald's. it's still way faster to just swipe your card.

I just got my hands on an ISIS SIM card. So, I figured, OK... I can't use Google Wallet (preferred choice, obviously), but at least I can use my phone to pay for stuff without rooting. Right? WRONG!! At present time, ISIS works ONLY with Chase and American Express, whereas Google Wallet partnered with... yeah... EVERYONE! So, yet again, another slap in the face from carriers.

I don't think Google partnered with anyone. I think they just allow any debit card because their MO is to gradually infect the market with its product until it is universal and all the competitors are out of business, while ISIS follows the "generate revenue now so we can have a good presentation at the next shareholder meeting". But anyway, coincidently my only two cards are a Chase debit and Amex credit, but regardless I'm sticking with Sprint for now because it's the cheapest option with adequate coverage in my area. So if Google ever gets its stuff together before the Note 4 comes out, I will be happy camper blowing the minds of unsuspecting cashiers!

Yes, unfortunately you will look quite stupid...since the NFC feature (tap and pay) is not enabled in Google Wallet on the GN3. A google rep informed me via email to expect an update soon (within weeks) that will add more compatible devices, so we'll see. But as the previous poster said, until you see the "tap to pay" feature enabled in "about" on the Wallet app on your phone, you will just hold up the line at your local Walgreens and make a fool out of yourself. Trust me...I'm speaking from experience!

How? Please share your secret...I just checked the website and Note3 still not listed under compatible devices. I would love to have this feature back before I get a Note4!
I flashed to cyanogenmod 11. It is in the development section. The Kat Kat ROM has an NFC emulator that that allows Google wallet to work. What this means is now Google does not need the carriers permission to install Google wallet on devices so now all the new devices that have Kit Kat and the newer operating systems will have Google wallet working out the box.

Cyanogenmod is the way to go!
If I have to load CM to make this work I'll just keep using my debit card and wait for KitKat

NFC in the AT&T Note has been disabled. We have the hardware in the phone but it will take some time for our Dev's here to figure it out. So it will be down the road a bit before we can use Google Wallet.
Thank you for the information

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but I'm really losing my patience with this nfc diabling stuff ATT is pulling on all their phones. We paid for the hardware. Even if they don't want to include any nfc capable apps, they could at least ship it enabled.

Even when NFC is enabled we wont be able to use google wallet unless you spoof build.prop to a nexus device. Those are the only ones that will work with the app correctly. NFC is far from useless otherwise though. I just got a bunch of black NFC tags to start writing my own for my skyrocket and once we get NFC enabled on the note. I will have one on my car dock to turn off wifi, turn on bluetooth, turn up volume, and open a car dock app. All without toughing the phone

Could this be the real reason Wallet doesn't work on the EvoLTE?

I felt the same way when I first heard about it. After seeing it and using it I have to say that I feel very differently about it. It's a cool idea and very convenient to have all your coupons and loyalty cards in there and automatically applied as you make your purchase. That being said, Isis is the system that will probably win out in the end.

Get a free lifetime Cerberus license, a highly regarded security app. The catch is it must activated on your device today. The last time this was offered was back in February. So what are you waiting for? Go get it
Well thank you! Just picked this up, with a feee license as far as I can tell.
If you already have this on your phone and you only had the trial. Make another account on a different phone as the device ID will make it impossible to make another one on your phone. So make the account on another phone and you'll be golden.

Ummm...that is a good question. Idk if the purchase is tied to your Google acct and available to install on any device, or tied to a specific device ID. If I had to wager, I'd say you must buy a license for each device, but this is the first time I have installed it. Does anyone else know?

Had it on my Evo 3D and currently have it on my GN2.
Straight from the playstore:
Cerberus is a complete anti-theft application, the best protection you can get to recover your misplaced, lost or stolen Android device. This is a free trial for one week, then you can buy a lifetime license for a small price (2.99€) from within the application: no monthly or yearly fees, just a one-time payment. License is associated to your Cerberus account, if you have multiple devices you can use all of them (up to 5) with the same account.

If they install a new rom it'll remove Cerberus. If it's just a factory reset Cerberus won't be removed(if you're rooted).
Thanks for posting this. I just installed and got this set up on my phone. I installed it on my wife's phone through the Play Store website since she is at work right now. I'll set it up on her phone tomorrow when I can get my hands on it.
So just to understand, I login on her phone with my account, correct? That would be 2 of the 5 phones that can be set up, right? I'll buy the license in a few days.

From what I understand.
The older Samsung tags (TecTiles) used Mifare classic, that worked fine with NPX NFC chips that supported it (they developed Mifare). Note 3, like the new Nexus 7 (2013), doesn't use NXP hardware and thus dose not support Mifare. Mifare not in the official NFC standard.
So the rep is probably correct.. I believe the S4 falls into this catigory also. THe Samsung TecTiles2 should work though.
I would buy them from Samsung's site and the 50% off code to get them much less. You can do a Google search for "Samsung 50% off code", and you should find one. Or buy some from eBay. Just make sure they are not MIfare.
Here is more info:

Hope this helps.

Looks good. I'd like mine to be a little more discreet though. When you say you're tapping to activate, does the phone require physical contact with the tag or can you hover over it to activate?
I'm thinking of placing mine behind a thin piece of plastic if the latter is the case.
