so as your physical buttons are working, you should be able to enter download mode(remove the battery for 5 minutes and re-insert) . then try flashing a stock rom. if you can backup the data, do it. good luck.

The developer by mystake as uploaded a Galaxy Note 2 kernel in Galaxy S3 thread , and he said that is probably a kernel boot.img problem.
thanks

note2 kernel is totally different from s3. probably that should have damaged the touch on your phone. that is a big mistake by the dev and you can do nothing but taking it to service center. good luck.

okay, now it's a 100% that you need a service center job. your touch chip is fried due to the voltage differences

Hello,
I dont know IF posting in the right place, but I searched the whole forum for a proper answer how to "unbrick" my boot loop-ed Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830..
Now I've tried installing several firmwares using Odin multi downloader v4.83 but none of them helped me, after all I cant access Recovery Mode!
I can acess Download mode, Emergency Dmod (arm9) and RAMDUMP (arm9)
I have: Android 2.3.3 GingerBread on T-Mobile Carrier (Hungary)!
How did I get here: rooted with SuperOneClick 2.3.2 and used an app for unlock (Galaxy Ace Unlock.apk) witch was probably the main source of the problem... Had no problems until I decided to reboot, rebooted successfully, the problem I had then was No carrier, then tried a second reboot and ever since then I'm stuck into a boot loop with no access whatsoever to RECOVERY MODE.
After installing firmware and waiting the 5 minutes in Odin, my device reboots intro a boot loop after about 2:32 min and nothing can be done furthermore...
I've serched the forum and found that data.rfs is missing in the firmwares... maybe that the source of the problem to... I dont know...
Please help me fix this problem!! Thank you!

You'll just have to keep flashing roms via Download Mode until one works (try flashing the stock rom).
P.S.: Your device has it's own forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1164.

You have done everything you could and it's still not fixed (even the things other people did when they had the same problem - it worked for them, but not for you), so warranty is the only other way to get it fixed (or at least replaced).

Thank you for the help Theonew! Appreciate! I've taken it into warranty service, hopefully they wont find my device inappropriate for free service, and so I dont have to pay for it...
The only problem is that I have to wait at least 8 days untill I get it back..
Anyway, I've researched this Galaxy Unlock apk. and it seems thats the main source of the problem.
Thanks again!

[Q] Flickering screen after bootloader flash

Forgive if there are similar threads about this topic.
I suffered from scrolling cwm so i tried this fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27830023&postcount=41
It worked excellent but when i lock my screen and unlock it again it starts flickering like shown in this video: http://youtu.be/P6fMxjFdpJE

Is it possible to get this fixed or am i screwed?

When you tried the fix noted above, I assume the screen didn't roll when you rebooted then into CWM recovery. At that point did you flash a ROM and THEN reboot to find the flicker after locking the screen, or did you do a reboot back into the same stock HC after flashing the bootloader and experience the problem?
I'm contemplating flashing this same bootloader because I have a rolling CWM5.5.0.4 right now and I want to stabilize it - but just so that I can root...not thinking about a ROM just yet...
Just to inform you all, i also had to flash a different bootloader after installing cm9 on my p7511, wich is in fact a 7510. For the records, pershoot made the new bootloader for exactly that issue, not backwards. But seems to work also.
What i deal now with, is that after flashing the uk ics for p7510 to my tab, the stock recovery doesn't recognize my sdcard. Can't mount sdcard...
Could be that a repartitioning with pit file will be necessary afterwards for us all.
Edit: thanks to the wise help of msedek, i know by now that my hind was totaly wrong. My mentioned point has to do with the Changes within stock recovery of ics, which have been made to prevent changes from there.
Getting more confident..
OK so it is sounding like this is definitely better. One more question:
I'm following the stickied root guide in General and that method uses CWM 4.0.0.4...I had reflashed that version. If I want to flash this boot loader should I flash 5.5.0.4 first? Or does it matter if I'm just trying to root right now?
EDIT: Flashed the bootloader which straightened out the recovery!! Successfully rooted after that. Downloaded root apps (ROM manager/Titanium/etc). Then turned off my screen - FLICKER CITY!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680738 <<< THIS fixed it. Load this kernel into the root of your tablet and flash it with CWM. Seems to have done the trick nicely and I'm exploring my newly rooted tab! My wife no longer wants to kill me either.

I have the same problem on my P7500 3G and the minute i load the bootloader to fix CWM recovery rolling i get the screen flickering after lock screen.

Kernel: 3.1.10
Still stuck.
Hi guys,
Gtab 10.1 Wifi here. Fix didn't worked, somehow...
After installing official ics from Samsung and rooted, i had the same insane flicker issue. I followed this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680738 - , flashed new kernel, and now i cant pass Samsung Galaxy Tab logo for some reason, not even past half an hour.
Im in a dead end, even tried installing back CM9 but it also wont pass the splashing blue screen.
Any ideas?
cheers!
EDIT : After some reboots, finally managed to boot into ICS (CM9) but now i was pushed back to the step 1, where I don't have a working camera, but I have root access and non official ICS from Cyanogen. I am afraid re-doing all my work and get stuck again in the scrambled screen after it updates the kernel..
I'm I missing something, guys?

[FREEZE OVER 3 DIF ROMS] looking for ideas...

Hi all i had 4.1.2 stok with some bloatware removed and siyah kernel , everything was fine till i was tempted by the so called ubber fast other roms.
Installed cm installer got snapshot 10.2 and there start my trouble. Phone was fine but it was randomly freezing and sometimes reboot others not. 1st time i was dealing with this , checked waht version i had , saw it wasnt the stable one (my phone didnt gave any info for update to stable btw) so i thought thats it.
Installed cm 10.2 once phone booted , freeze. Just like that on 1st sec. Cleaned dalvnik , cleaned data , problem still there ...
Installed 4.3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569180) almost stok , updated modem , cleaned chaches , format system , format cache , deleted everything i could find to delete/format from recovery (cwm 6.0.4.4 touch) exept sdcard...
Guess what ? Problem still there
It can be when i touch to type a sms , when i hit enter on a url to load , when i open an app or it will reboot just byitself (i hear boot sound so i have to type the pin).
Any ideas at all on what should i do ?
Ps : I have the idea that it all started when i reinstalled cerberus app on cm 10.2 snapshot edition, but that would be impossible after so many wipes wouldnt it ?
Is there any way to monitor what activity is causing it to freeze?

Try using the app contained in that thread, once you've flashed full stock.
Freezing is usually nand damage, no fix is possible -freezing is the work around in action. Wait until the freeze stops and it should get better as the os learning to avoid the bad blocks.

Should i do it again ? Isnt there some way finding those faulty locations and force os never to read/write again ?
My girlfriend s3 was having that symptoms a few days after that leads to sudden death. Try check it with emmc brick bug from google play. I might be wrong tho.

There are more tips in the freezing thread but, as I understand, the freezes are the os learning to avoid the bad blocks -if it's getting worse then emmc chip may be cascading. There is no cure, apart from a new motherboard which should be covered by warranty.

[Q] Does Flashing ROM fix all problems

I'm very curious about flashing ROMs. Now I have problem with my funbook infinity but I have all flashing softwares which is required for flashing like Original Funbook Factory Image, Livesuit, USB drivers etc. I'm scared and in doubt that will flashing my tab will fix all problems. I want to be confirmed that flashing will help me to fix my problem with the tab and it will not do any permanent damage to my funbook tab.
1- will it solve problems?
If software problem, probably. If hardware problem, definitely not.
2- got risk of bricking/damaging/create more problems?
There's always risk.

S3 Bricked/corrupted/whatever

Hello guys.
Recently i got one s3 that have some years of use, just for using some Sim cards, and got no problems at all, except that it sometimes freezes completely, and only a long press on power button or removing battery would solve it.
tried to flash a new Rom to see if it works, but when i go to odin, it doesn't recognizes the device, but when the phone is on home screen, it recognizes.
And now i dont know what to do because the phone doesnt turns on, it just keep stuck at "samsung" logo when powering on.
Asking because i dont know what to search on forum
If theres a way to fix, please help me lol !
If you have a custom recovery on your phone download a small ROM (Haxynox 6.0.1 is pretty small) then try to flash via Odin again, if no result then stick with Haxynox or get other ROMs
