Need help in downgrade i9100 (4.1.2 to 2.3.5) - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have searched almost half an hour but didn't find the instructions so I'm making a new thread.
I'm currently on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 stock rom rooted via Siyah kernel 6.0 b5.
I have downloaded stock 2.3.5 JPKJ2_I9100OJPKJ1 from sammobile.com. the rom is in .md5 file.
So can I just downgrade by using ODIN and selecting the .pda and having tick on Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time or are there any extra settings for downgrading?
Really looking forward for someone to answer it briefly.
and btw, Sorry for my bad english.

Mobile Odin.
PS: I have a smoke while sipping pepsi walking out the dog, that takes half an hour.
You should be looking at 2-4 hours to get the info you need. Always spare that time for researching.

I'm on stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2 ROM rooted with Siyah kernel 6.0b5.
1 thing more, if I dont want to keep rooted when downgrading? I'm asking this because I can also root 2.3.5 via CF Root if I need it later.
and I already made a nandroid backup and also of EFS.

I think that was meant for me.
LSW.

Okay so,
I want to Flash LSW but my PC doesn't reconize the device (Micro USB Port problem), so I have to flash with Mobile Odin but I'm scared.
I'd like to know if there is any risk of brick/bootloop or any other problem when flashing with MO ?
Have anyone had any issue with it ?
May I select Wipe data, cache & Dlavik cache ?
Is LSW stable ?
Thanks a lot in advance

Go ahead and flash it.
Let me tell you a story.
A friend started having some issues with his device and sent it to a guy, so he could check it out plus change it's smashed screen.
This guy did change the screen and he flashed a branded GB firmware (who the hell knows why).
Of course, he didn't back the EFS folder up resulting in a IMEI gone situation.
He gave it to me so I could work some magic.
I was on GB, rooted with doomlord oneclick. Got M.O.P, a couple of GB and JB ROMs, siyah v6, supernexus and CM 10.1.
With that set up I can go back and forth with all stock ROMs and flash siyah v6 (.tar) whenever I need/want to go custom.
So there you have it, that SII haven't had to be plugged in to any PC.
Will it have to?
Hardly.
If it ever gets stucked in a bootloop you got recovery to deal with it.
If, IF something fishy happens, I still got odin to work something out.
I don't see how, to me M.O is the safest way to flash a device.
Why?
Easy, when you f/#k up in Odin, you ONLY got odin to work it out.
When you $&! k in M.O, you STILL have Odin to make snazzy moves.
BAM

Downgrade ICS

I guess this question is asked over and over again and it pretty much pisses you guys off, but i fail at finding some guide or something that gives me the confidence to start the process.
Some days ago i upgraded my samsung galaxy s II from Gingerbread to ICS and i got nothing but problems since then. My battery doesn´t last even 1 day, browser keeps crashing, and i cant find any feature that makes me wanna continue using such OS. So, if possible, i want to downgrade to Gingerbread, is there anyway to do this without having ANY problems with my carrier and keeping my warranty ? Searching a bit through google, i saw that this could be easily be accomplished by using ODIN, but i cant seem to find Gingerbread for my specific carrier and device...
My info:
Samsung Galaxy S II
Carrier: Personal
Current OS: ICS 4.0.3
PD: Can i downgrade from my carrier's ICS to an international gingerbread version without having any problem (this includes saving my warranty, etc). But if available, i'd like GB for my carrier.
Thanks a ton and sorry if this is asked a lot.

A noob with courtesy, wow it makes everything better.
The answer is yes, flash an unrooted ROM/Kernel with Odin.
Go to www.sammobile.com and download the firmware you want and flash through Odin. (don't tick repartition or use a pit file unless you know 100% what you're doing)
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Go to Samfirmware dot Com (you need to be registered to download roms) select your device model, country, carrier and download the rom.
Open odin,
put your phone in download mode and connect it. U will see a yellow indicator which means odin had recognized your device.
Select Pda and choose the .tar.md5 file.
Don't change anything unless you know what you are doing.
Click Start.
Process will be done in 2mins...
Make sure you have more than 50% battery when doing this.
Hit thanks if this was of use to you.

Also to improve your ICS experience its recommended to wipe cache and do factory reset.

Use any for Argentina if you prefer something for your country, but it doesn't matter in real. As for warranty purpose you would need to flash the one you had there when you bought the phone.
Yeah check here :

Just check your device and so on, there is a thread with carrier branded roms here on xda as well. Think it's intratechs thread

I know this probably has been asked too many times before, but I swear I searched for this specific issue and found no answer.
A friend of mine bought a SGS2 on swappa, it came with the ****ing triangle in the boot image and we paid no attention to it untill we tried to flash CM10 on it. <it is currently running cm7.
We tried the triangle away app and it displayed the "trouble parsing the package" then i read that this app works only on jellybean, my question is how do I upgrade andoid if Im not able to flash any rom on it.
Here are a couple of pictures so that you can have an idea of the errors im getting.

I am raging so hard right now. The TWO most asked questions ever. In one thread.
You are trying to install an i777 ROM (maybe AT&T or T-Mobile) to an ordinary i9100. Download the proper ROM and install it.

It's impossible to tell. The splash screen comes when SPOILER: the flash counter has been tripped And status 7 comes back like every week somehow

Fail... twice. T-Mobile doesn't have I777s and that triangle is for tripping the flash counter. It could be an I9100 or an I777.
OP: your issue is you haven't searched enough. The answer IS out there... ALL OVER THE PLACE!
Here's a clue. Read the fu¢king stickies. Yes, a bit of emoragekill. Why? Because you haven't put more then 45 seconds into finding the answer. It took you longer to create this thread than you spent searching.
I gave you the answer. This thread has run its extremely unnecessary course.

Pull the battery and make sure which phone you have. Go to that forum and look for a 'stock rooted rom' and follow those instructions. Then you should not have a problem flashing cm10 (if it is available)

what is this? and how can i get rid of it once and for all or avoid it ??
i'm Using Omega Rom AOKP Version V5
and it happens on most of the roms i use every once in a while
I'll be honest, i'm not clued up on kernel panic & upload mode. i read that it is a fatal error on the operating system just wondered if when you were changing roms, you flashed a different kernel too, or if it just that kernel you've been having trouble with (you can see where i'm going here) have you tried using a different kernel?
Had a read around and it seems that flashing a stock firmware and factory reset should sort this out for you and stop it happening again

Yeah, to be honest a clean start is the best solution to many problems, might seem drastic, but if you are well backed up and sorted then it really doesn't take long. You can spend ages trying to work out what causes a problem, or just be a competent flasher and just accept that when problems do accumulate a clean start is usually the quickest....but that's just my opinion

Just a plain old Odin flashable stock Rom, no reason to use a pit at all...last resort that is! Just get latest for your region and flash, you might need to do a factory reset after, so if you can, back up first including internal sd as a factory reset from stock recovery will wipe that also

I have left the following message when you turn on the phone after wanting to upgrade "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again" (is the explanation that a friend gave me, the team is his, I thought I could give him a hand and he had had a similar situation on my Galaxy S2, which solved .)
As I have already downloaded firmware, full package proceeded to try to flash it with ODIN reaching it in the picture, then odin and not advance, usually gives error, but more than that I failed.
I can't see the pictures you posted but i'm pretty sure there's a couple of threads that can help you sort this one out.

I think Kies is not the problem because I tried on 3 different computers, and also tried on all ports of each computer.
How about the cable then?
Odin versions?

Ok Carlos, how about siyah?
@OP:
Time to start over again. There must be something wrong in what you are doing.
Here is a checklist of stuff to try when Odin flash fails:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25731280&postcount=4
Please try each and all, and see if u can flash successfully.

Ok so I flashed seriyah kernal. I failed to write "Complete(Write) operation failed." in odin and then it said to reccont to kies and because of osmehting blah blah but i just relfahsed and now it is working fine again (4.1.2). but the problem still persists of me not being able ot flash seriyah.
Killed kies applications before you flashed?
Sent from the little guy
I just can't understand why people ask for the exact file to flash, instead of trying to find out for themselves.
From what I see, its not that hard to find what ur looking for, unless ur too lazy to go through all the search results! And you can always double check with other members on whether ur doing stuff right or not.
If someone suggests you flash something, and you do it without knowing why or how, ur back to where u were before asking.
Believe me, the fun is all about learning what ur doing and why ur doing it. So after u have solved ur issue, u have not just helped ur device, u have helped urself too..
Just my 2 cents..

This link should help, it gives a step by step guide: http://galaxys2root.com/category/galaxy-s2-root/
Using search button "root sgs2 4.1.2" . U should watch for a kernel
Send from my SGS2 I9100 with HassanROM and latest DorimanX 8.xx kernel
Word of advice....don't go offsite for rooting methods....other sites get their info here, and if not, it probably shouldn't be trusted anyway.
And for rooting....visit the PhilZ thread....search the thread for the kernel that matches your firmware and download the ZIP version. This can be flashed in the stock recovery....without Odin. ....
Not sure how? Search function will help......
