I didn't think there was much of a chance for the OG to get the 4.2.2 update, but then I saw this rather dated article from March. I searched the forums and found nothing related to this, so if it's a dupe, my apologies.
What do you guys think?

Did you mean to post this in the Optimus G (e970) forum?
Wrong forum-this is the Optimus G Pro.
Sorry guys.
I am curious about the OGP's potential for an upgrade as well though. I had Dashclock on my S4 and really enjoyed it.
I hope we'll have an update

Is the new official ICS 4.0.4 been released from samsung? ive been reading way too many forums stating it is and can;t seem to download it off Kies or OTA...im a noob at this..im probably putting this in the wrong section and will get chewed out by most of you on here but just simply need an answer..thanks
Triple wrong... Double wrong for posting on the development section [couldn't at least post in General? At the development is bad, really bad. On General still bad, but not so bad as the development ], the right section is the Q&A, and simple wrong for not searching about it, otherwise you would find your answer.
Lock and go
It has been released for Russia and China only.

I am on 3UK. Got a push message notification stating some 9Mb update is available. However after downloading it, couldnt install. Think my mobile is rooted - that being the reason. can this be 4.0.4 ??

Go to sammobile.com, search your device and see what has been released.
4.0.4 tbh doesn't really add much to the phone vs 4.0.3 anyways. I am more looking forward to the possibility of the rumours of jelly bean coming to the S2 though I hear it's not going to well. The initial testing from Samsung is performance isn't that cracking on dual core devices which could be a reason why we won't see Jelly bean on the S2 even though others like HTC and not mentioned any such performance issues?
So I'm using my HTC One Max today and boom a update notification came through..
I came straight here to see information about it but have not seen anything.
Does anyone have a clue what they updated yet or is it to soon to tell? haha.
I really want to update to a new phone soon, but anything to make this phone's battery last longer is good news.
You may not know but this forum is for development not a Q&A. There are some threads about this already in the General forum. There will not be an official update for the US variant most likely. If it happeneds it will be because it's ported.

I have me and my brother on one max's with unlimited grandfathered. Stock 4.4.2, s-off, and rooted. Today we both get an ota pop up everytime we wake the phone up from sleeping. Annoying. Root explorer only shows the otapkg.zip to be 36mb so i doubt its a big update or anything. I have been working all day without any time to look at it and my bro has no clue what he is using, i just showed him how to turn his hotspot on. haha
Hopefully someone knows an easy way to get rid of this update. I sent a pm to someone else who had helped me with rooting stuff awhile ago when i first got the 2 max's used. (thanks for all your help before if you read this) He hasnt been using a max but recommended flashing stock recovery, flashing update, and redoing superuser and twrp. I cant tell my brother to do all that long distance... hes electronic disabled.... I'm hoping i can rename the update and get it to stop showing up and leave us alone. I think I had done something similar to this with the rezound ota annoyances.
Sorry to respond to this post while its in the wrong section... But I couldn't find anything related to this 07-31-2015 ota from verizon in the general. I do see alot of stuff about international lollipop dropping, but I think this is different.
I knew this was for the Dev section but this affects those of us who are using stock rooted rom's with earlier updates that they received from this very section. So pardon me when I thought this was the place to bring it up.. Thanks for telling me we'd not get the US Variant... Personally I don't want to upgrade to Lollipop. Much prefer the current one. I'm with the previous replier, I'd rather stop the annoyance of the update notification. I haven't downloaded it but it's getting annoying having to see the update every 4 hours.

I just did a multi search engine (including the site search) through out the HTC one max forum for the ota update "3.02.651.8" and got no threads matching my search. The latest official version to be discussed is the 3.02.651.5 which is what I'm on already. If you would be so kind as to point me in the directions of said thread(s) I'd be grateful as I do not see them anywhere.

How does this look? http://androiding.how/sprint-htc-one-max-ota-update-3-02-651-8-rolling-out-but-it-isnt-lollipop/
Anyone have a flashable update of this?
So today I got my new phone (an LG Optimus F7). I know what your thinking... This phone is almost 3 years old. Found it kinda funny how it doesn't even exist on the LG site anymore. Its just a replacement till I get my Nexus 6 in July. Anyway back to the topic, I need the file for Odin to root it. Iv done some google searching and can't seem to find it.
Also, If any of you know of any, i'd like a custom ROM as its running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and its quite slow and glitchy.
(sorry if im posting this in the wrong forum, i can't find a forum that would really fit this phone.)

Search for simplicity xl rom for the lg870. Also check out the zippy kernel.
If the new htc M10 ends up being as good as promised I will trade my V10 for it. Miss my stereo speakers too much. Good phone otherwise
Thanks for letting us know
Is this a question, or an answer? Or is it some kind of help?
Troubleshooting?
Hmmmm
Sent from my pretty nifty brand new LG V10
Sorry, should've posted in general. My bad.

Not to sound like an ass, but you really shouldn't have posted it at all. If we had a thread for every time someone switched phones, this place would be completely littered.
You are correct, mods please delete thread
I have a LG X Venture H700. Had it for a while now and would like to root it, I heard some whispers a while ago about a twrp maybe coming out for the device but haven't seen or heard any updates. Anyone got any info on this device or is it past the point of anyone developing a root method?
Nobody? Did I post this in the wrong forum or is this phone old news?
I'm curious about this as well.
Im waiting for it too...
Me too...and it's over a year later and still, no responses. I wonder why?
