That was hardly a smart response, I was stating truth, the issue you asked about that I responded to was true, if you didn't create the partition then the error is normal.
I could give you one if you'd like, like "Go Google how to use a recovery."
If you considered what I said as being smart xda will eat you alive.

My problem is I can not install the original rom.
How many rom I tried WiFi did not work. That's why I want to install the original rom
Edit: boot.img loading.
did you find stock rom and kernal?
You can also try just flashing this in recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40665377 closer to stock 2.06 then any others out there.
Basically though what you're looking for is the ruu. I think there's a guide in development for how to ruu back to stock.

Odin is a Samsung thing, isn't it? Like I recall its use on the gs2 but never seen it used on anything non Samsung, could be wrong though.

You are right odin and odin mobile pro are designed for samsung ROM development on Android sorry about that
If you want stock, flash a stock rooted ROM. If you want true stock (no S-Off and locked, stock recovery) follow the guide Pio linked too.

There's one available right around here, use the search button dude, it's pretty easy if you search the most obvious place for anything pertaining to this device.
Well, like I said in op, I've searched and found ones that say must be s on or relock. Also found the ones to do from fastboot .
Like I said, don't find stock rooted that I can flash through recovery. As stated in op already have done what above post says.
Sorry ii asked such an easy question. That a simple search didn't answer.

Being unable to find something and not looking are not the same, there is a flashable zip of T-Mobile, Telus and Mobilicity ICS roms posted in the amaze bibe thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679486
The tutorial to return to stock is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27058110&postcount=44
At the bottom of that post you will find all three flashable zips with links to download them.
If you search for what you're looking for in the places that it should be, you will find it.
Thankyou. I'm sorry you feel I didn't look. But like I said in every post, I did search. Never came across the nandroids or zips you posted.

That's why you always search the bible first buddy, I know things like this are hard to find around here so we try to gather it all for you guys in place so it wouldn't be hard to find anymore, so just check the bible thread first, if you don't find it in there, let me know and I'll show where it's at, if we don't have it? I'll personally try to get it for ya. .

Also, if you're still looking for an universal updater that will flash a stock ICS rooted ROM with 4EXT recovery, you might want to wait for my tool to be released
I said nothing.
Maybe I did something wrong, but the ota zip WiFi would not work and with the posted nandroid it aborted within. Few seconds

After you flash the ota zip you will need to flash the boot.img file inside it manually if you're not s-off, use hasoons tool to flash it, its the kernel required for wifi to work.
Just remembered you use cwm recovery, you have to flash the kernel file manually since only 4ext recovery supports kernel flashing.

Yes, i am s-off. I was on energy rom. Flashed the stock rooted zip from link you posted above. I wiped everything before flash. Wifi shows networks shows trying to connect but keeps going through that. Will NEVER connect. I tried the process form post 4 in energy rom and still wont connect. If i restore the back up of energy, wifi works
Ok, just did the manual flash and still no wifi. I see i mis typed above, the OTA zip works, everything except wifi
You're the first and only person that used that zip and complained of that issue, my only piece of advice for you would be to use the PH85IMG stock img in the stock ruu thread and restore, then re-root your device, best of luck.
What custom ROM's would you recommend for the DNA? I'm leaning towards Viper's. I'd appreciate some suggestions on a stable, daily driver ROM to give a shot.

Thanks for the response. Care to help me understand something here though? Do I have to start with 1.1.0 and step up to 1.1.1 and then 1.1.2 and then 1.1.3 or do I go right to 1.1.3? Or do I start with 1.1.0 and jump right to 1.1.3?

Hi guys
So I will picking up my Droid DNA early next week - it is still factory standard.
I want to apply the new update that was just released and also use the ViperRom
What steps are required and in what order.
i.e.
1. Unlock bootloader (which is current best method?)
2. Root (which is current best method?)
3. Install OTA update (new verizon one that just came out this week)
4. Install ViperRom
I am in Australia on Telstra network if that matters?
Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.
Cant wait to try out the DNA, I have always loved the look of this phone since I first saw it :fingers-crossed:

From what i understand, you have to install a new rom just to get root access.

No you don't have to. All you need to do is unlock the bootloader install a custom recovery and then flash the superuserbusybox zip and that's how you get root access

It took me a little bit to get my "sea legs" as it were, but it really was a pretty smooth process overall. And Viper is ridonkulous. The customization is crazy.
Good luck.
Flashing the ROM right away will give you root access, but if you want to play around with the stock rooted rom for a bit, you can just flash the superuser zip in recovery: http://androidsu.com/superuser/
Oops, didn't realize there was a second page and someone already posted the answer lol. Sorry.
Hey everyone, so my Dinc2 went to sht and I need to know is there any way to root my GF old fascy? I have has no luck finding the fresh links/if any.
All I find point to mega, and as we all know that's dead.

You can't go wrong with most of the roms in the development section but I'd recommend trying CM10.1 first (found here: http://get.cm/?device=fascinatemtd) as it's the most consistent rom for the fascinate I've used

Well... section 6 deals with rooting from stock so that you can continue on...
That guide has all the answers...

Flashing to 4.2 rom
If you want to take an easier jump into 4.2 rather than going through all the crap. Check out VegasRomeos shortcut Here. It works great and is simple.

So I flashed paraniodandroid Rom for Verizon note.2. I did this mainly because of ota update and I was already rooted and didn't want to loose it.
My question is what are the differences between paraniodandroid and the stock ota?
How do I use the multi window function?
I used twrp to flash the Rom. Are there any roms that are nothing more than the stock ota with root?

For the PA function explanation you will find all the answers in the PA thread or by doing a search on google and watching a video.
There are plenty of roms that are just the stock OTA or the stock OTA with a few changes. You might want to check Cleanrom or Beans out.
Just remember that you are on a 4.2 rom now and to go back to a 4.1 rom, beans and cleanrom, you will have to flash an additional zip after you flash your 4.1 rom. It is to revert the file stucture to the 4.1 file structure and if you dont use it your external SD WILL BE CORRUPTED. You can find the zip to revert your SD card in the Official CyanogenMod 10.1 OP.
You should also read thru Droidstyles guide that is a sticky in the Android Development forum.

Hey guys,
I just got this device and I'm loving it so far... I'm a T-Mobile customer, so I'm looking to flash a tmobile radio and Rom. The thing is I bought this from someone who used a toolkit to root it and unlock the bootloader. It's also running insert coin Rom and twrp.. I know nothing else is done besides that. This is my first non Samsung device, and Im used to the simplicity of Odin , I really dont want to screw anything up... Anyone have some advice? Thanks in advance...

I am probably not certified to answer this question. But my suggestion is-
You are searching here ( your best bet) so maybe search youtube for how to video's on "un"rooting and going back to stock. They normally have links to downloads that you need.
what is wrong with just leaving it unlocked and rooted, just flashing a different rom?

This will get you back to near stock T-mo >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2281943
your best off to stay away from a radio update unless your having a problem.
Leave the recovery as is for now till you learn more about your phone
make a backup from TWRP and store it in a safe place (other than on the phone) before you go flashing roms (just a good practice anytime)
all the popular roms in the international section will work on your phone, Android Revolution HD, TrickDroid, insertcoin ...etc, just take your time and read a lot
Thanks for the suggestions guys... So even though I'm s-on, I can still flash a different Rom?
