I am having trouble syncing my phone with my Google Calendar. I went thru the instructions that google lays out, but the instructions say to leave the "domain" field empty. I cannot continue the setup until I put something in the domain field so I place a "space" in there and hit next.
When I am finished it will not sync:
Result: The server you are attempting to synchronize with is either not an Exchange Server or is running incompatible software. Please correct your server address in Exchange Setup or contact your Exchance Administrator. Code 0x85030022
any help?
i had some hiccups similar to this until i used the full username including @gmail.com or @googlemail.com suffix.. you can find out exactly that your address is in the upper right hand corner of the screen when logged into gmail in a normal browser..
I have been using goosync for about 9 months and love it. I got the paid the subscription and it lets me sync multiple google calendars as separate categories.
you should put in your FQDN. put "google" in the domain if you HAVE to.

google apps upgrade probably. sync is what it is. works great.
What I did worked
I followed the instuctions on the gmail help page....only
For Domain i used google
and for my user name I put @gmail.com
Finally google has kicked in, now it doesnt allow people without gmail email address to access the market place. Probably this is due to updates that it brought arround to provide paid apps.
Why should one need to be google binded to use free andorid apps available on market place? For me as of now I cannot access the market place. It says i need to have gmail account. Where as I am using google hosted domain app services and using primary email as [email protected]
Any work arround?
Use gmail as secondary account....
Its googles market and google makes the terms. If you cant accept them, dont use it then. there is plenty of other ways to get apps
Sent from my rooted X10 mini PRO using XDA App
Could you kindly suggest "plenty of other methods", I am dead stuck with dead market, no updates
Just Google it...
Irony as its best

All Google apps accounts are being "upgraded" so that you can use them for things like Reader, Blogger, Youtube and of course Market.
If you are the apps administrator then you will have been sent am email by Google offering you the option of an early upgrade unless you have opted out of mailings!
If not, then sit tight and it will be with you soon. Failing that, just set up a secondary Google account for Market.
I am applied for transition, i hope this solves the issue.
Not so long ago Google introduced amazing addition to Play Books - uploading your own epub and pdf files through http://play.google.com/books/uploads. However, I'm not from US and my Google Account isn't either assigned to US - I have access only to Android apps. However, when Google Music was not available in Poland, I managed to enable it on my account by logging in through US VPN, have full Google Play USA experience and enter music library. After turning off VPN, whole USA experience disappeared - music, books, movies etc. However, after entering https://play.google.com/music/, everything worked like with VPN in spite of having Polish IP. Since then I have ability to upload 20 000 music files, listen to them and use Google Music app on phone to stream. No music buying function - just uploading and listening.
Now it looks like a similar situation is with Play Books - I'm looking for a way to enable just uploading epub and pdf files without ability to buy books from Play Store. After reading about it, I immediately downloaded, installed and turned on Hotspot Shield as my VPN. Checked IP - it was US one, so I logged in to Google. And surprise - no Google Play USA experience, like then. Only apps. After manually typing http://play.google.com/books/uploads there is a note: "Sorry! Books on Google Play is not available in your country yet". I tried to create new account while being connected through VPN. It worked - I was even able to download Play Books to my Nexus 7 after pairing it with my new account (it was using Hotspot Shield too). However, after turning VPN off, my new USA account lost it's full Play Store - it showed me Polish one, with apps only. What's more, after enabling VPN again, there still were no USA Play Store.
My question is: is there an ability to enable Play Books on non-US account (for example like I did with Music) or just to enter full USA Play Store on my non-US account (for example to upload some pdf or epub and then watch if it'll work). I emphasize - I don't need ability to buy anything from Store, no matter whether it's free or not. Just uploading ebooks and reading them on my phone/tablet.
P.S. I've tried Market Enabler, Market Helper and VPNs on Nexus 7 to enter Google Play USA on my Polish account - nothing worked. As far as I know, Market enablers and other tweaks doesn't longer work. Second Google account worked for a while - that's how I downloaded Books app - but now it doesn't (still, it would be rather dumb to have two accounts - one normal and second for Books).
I second this.
I'd like to upload like 3 pdf to my account to read them on the go. I'd hate to use another reader for that.
thnaks Konpon96 for asking the question. we're in same situation here . i tried the same way like you did but no luck at all . can someone help us on this . thanks
Yeah , I tried E-mailing Google Customer Service about this but they replied and said Sorry they can't do anything about it . Which I highly doubt it , they should make it international access like those other services who can provide US content without VPN
what a waste . do we need to wait ?
hi all . i able to do it by creating new gmail address and using vpn client . i able to upload a few epub file to play books
The thing I'm curious about is why I cannot enter Google Play USA by VPN on my current account - previously it was available.

Not sure but I think Google is referring to the address you have registered with your credit card on your Google Play account.

I thought about it, but then I've had my credit card attached to Google Play... but if they're now looking on that, it may be possible to connect fake-emulated USA card - there were a site to do it, but I've forgotten it's name.

My wife, who never bind her credit card on Google Play, is able to upload pdf and epub files on the Google Books Reader just using a VPN.

Sadly those domiciliated in a country where the Play Store has not been deployed yet are far from living the promised Google experience.
I'm in the same boat as OP.
And this is also true only for my personal account where I previously enabled Google Music using proxy (year or two back). On my wife's account (GMusic not enabled) I can access Google Books web site and upload stuff without problems. I already tried changing data in the Wallet but to no avail. It's something else...
Bummer
For me it worked, using a VPN (www.getusvpn.com)
As we speak, I am uploading my book collection.

It has nothing to do with the VPN provider - I can also use this provider and it does not work. It seems they have activated an additional check and the result is somewhere stored in the user profile. If I logoff and go to play.google.com, then I have everything available - as soon as I login, I'm limited to apps...
So the big question is, what information is now additionally checked...

It works until you disconnect from VPN - after that, even if you uploaded some files, Books are still unavailable. I've created new Google Account while being connected with VPN and it fully works with USA Google Play - I managed to upload some books. Unfortunately, after disconnecting from VPN, non-US Store comes back - strange, cause that account was created "in USA". It looks like Books cannot be made available like Music, just through entering their library - they disappear as soon as you disconnect from VPN. It isn't handy way to hang around with being connected through VPN all the time. :/
Same issue here. Haven't managed to find a way past them.
I've tried removing payment details from Wallet, changing country in Accounts, and of course using a VPN (Tunnelbear). Still no go.
I really think they should at least let people use Books as a reader. I don't know but I feel people might be more inclined to start purchasing from the Books store when it's available in their country if they already have a vast majority of their pdfs/epubs available on said platform. I'm able to view my library (which consists of the Nexus 7 guidebook and some random book). Maybe they could shift the upload functionality to the "My Library"page instead, which should solve the troubles with have.
Side note, I was able to access Music without a VPN. I managed to upload my collection, but am unable to buy any Music off of the store.
Yeah I wish they made it like the Music, when you register, you can access it just fine.
:/
I have the exact same problem but i notice something, i created a new account using a VPN and if I use that account i can us the whole us playstore but if i change to my regular account its gone even thought i have the VPN activated.
how do they bing my account to my country?
Here what worked for me:
1) Create a new google account.
2) Via a US VPN sign in google books and upload your books.
3) On your phone open Play Books app and sing in as your second account. Your books should appear.
Restrict your phone to sync only Google Books from the second account.
anyone has the solution yet?
I have removed all location information in my account setting (gmail, google+, wallet, etc), but no luck
really would like to make this work
I have a Samsung s3 & tab 2 10". Have just purchased my 2 children a tab 3 each. Can I set up their tabs so the music on my Google Play account can be used across all devices, but I do not want the games they download being shared to my phone and tab?
Will I need to set them up with a new email account each or can it all run from the one account?
Hope this makes sense and someone will be able to point me in the right direction. Any advice will be useful
Thanks
Anybody??

Haven't tested because I don't use them myself... but I think in 'User accounts' in settings, you can make them individual accounts and restrict what apps they have access to.
Edit - just re-read your post. Games they download shouldn't automatically install on your phone and tab, they'll just been seen in your 'my apps' section on the Play Store.

This is correct between my wife and I we have a phone and a tablet each so 4 devices all linked to the same play account, we have different apps on all the devices, when one of us downloads some thing the other would not know unless you go to the account history. You can also set up multiple gmails on each device and then go in to the setting and set it as the main one or tell it not to download mails and what not from the other accounts.

Thanks Akhan & Davebug.
Is this the same for music that is downloaded to the play account, will it play on all the devices. Like, dare I say the word, Itunes you can set up different play lists and load those to each device is this or something similar available on google play music??
Thanks in advance
Got my new Pixel XL and everything is great, except none of my Google App Data is syncing (most notably my saved WiFi networks because that's easiest to check). Additionally, my Google Keyboard personal dictionary will not show up on my phone. I have no sync errors, all sync settings/accounts have been checked, forcefully synced, removed/re-added, etc. Standard troubleshooting stuff.
The issue is not just the Pixel. Two weekends I wiped my Nexus 5X and gave it to my buddy so he could take Android for a test drive (considering the jump from iOS). I use my Nexus 6 for my G Suite work phone, so while waiting for my Pixel to ship I just created a second profile on the Nexus 6 for my personal account. I experienced the same sync issue there as well. I chocked it up to running multiple profiles (I've heard Google Keyboard struggles with multiple profile dictionaries, especially business profiles) and just sucked it up until the Pixel arrived.
Well now here it is and I'm still not syncing, so does anyone know how I can fix this? I've never had an issue in the past, I'd log in on a new phone and all of my stuff would be waiting for me.
Side note: I spent an hour chatting with Pixel support this morning about this issue, even though it's not a Pixel issue, I thought I'd see what the support is all about. What a joke.
I'm wondering if this has anything to do with Nougat. Android Backup Service has never failed me until Nougat. Starting to lose hope that my data is recoverable.
I have similar problem with Google keyboard sync, primary I use personal Gmail account and as secondary Gmail work account. When I remove work account and reinstall Google keyboard sync start to work until I add Gmail work account... I don't understand where's the problem with it...

Interesting data point.
I don't think the issue is Nougat. I added a few words/shortcuts to my dictionary on my Pixel XL, and then ran the sync on my car's Android 5.1 head unit and the words did not sync. (Neither do my saved networks). I don't know how to get support on this. No one knows what I'm talking about most of the time, there's no official support;I can't just call up Google. Pixel support is really only good for helping me figure out how to power on my phone. I was hoping they might have some connections but it's just typical lackluster support.

It's because Google Keyboard doesn't support sync with GSuite accounts But I don't know how use two accounts, one GSuite and second free and connect the app to the free account. Any idea?
BTW f*ck Google when it takes more usability to free users that to paying...
