I am on stock touchwiz and rooted. I want something like 3minit framework so that I can customize my notification panel. I would like to have the time centered mostly and other less important tweaks.
Use either 3minit or Xposed, both work with the S4. I got Xposed with a center clock, plus other goodies.
I'm in the same boat. Stock rooted. Most of those mods say they require a deodexed rom. I did flash the mod to remove the ongoing wifi notice though. The only other things I want are center clock and hide alarm/gps icons. Id love to know results if anyone has tried 3minit or multimod on stock odex.

Hey guys, I just flashed the 3minit framework mod on my VZW GS4 and I was wondering if there was any way to have a solid color or solid black pull down notification window instead of the pull down panel being completely transparent? Let me know! Thanks guys. Also, if I decide I don't like the 3minit framework and decide to get rid of it, is there a way to "uninstall" it, or do I have to do a restore from a backup BEFORE 3minit was flashed?
EDIT: Nvm, I found it! Haha I was looking at old posts which is why I thought you couldn't change the notification drop down transparency.
I even didn't liked the 3minit framework it messed up my device, any ideas to remove all of it, my device was much better before this
Since we'll most likely won't get KitKat on our device, I decided to edit the statusbar on the stock, deodexed, ICS rom that I use as a daily driver. A transparent statusbar, custom battery icons, a KitKat wallpaper and Nova launcher would be good enough for me.
So I followed this guide and succeeded in making the statusbar 100% transparent. Problem is that it also remaines transparent when the statusbar is pulled down and in certain apps. For example in Gmail the bar turns white so the icons in the statusbar can't be seen. In Maps it remains transparent so you'll see your icons twice and a bit overlapping.
When using apktool, does anyone know which lines need to be edited in what app to only make the statusbar transparent in home- and lockscreen?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the tip, already tried achieving it with Xposed and Xblast but it doesn't seem to work. Most likely because I'm still in ICS. I know I know I should upgrade etc but I just like ICS better
Will dive into the SystemUI, Rosie and framework-res apk's a bit more to see if I can find how the statusbar background is set and with what actions.
Please do something like that .... I would love to try that on my DX
There are lots of modules available now as we are
talking new developers are programming more of
them. i have handpicked the best modules
available for Xposed framework that i tried and to be sincere u wil love it
Xposed StatusBar Mods:
Status bar are most commonly used mods and
this modules give you control of your status bar
settings. You can change the clock color, add
AM/PM to Clock, make the status bar transparent
or 1PX.
XVolume:
This is a simple mod that gives you 30 step
volume control on your device and thus means
more precise control.
Advanced power menu :
Again a popularly used mod on most of the
custom ROM. It adds options like reboot to
recovery, Soft reboot etc to power menu.
Maximize Lock Screen Widget :
This module allows users to maximize and
control the size of the Lock screen widget and
make it look much better.
Wanam Xposed module: for SAMSUNG USERS RUNNING JB ABOVE ONLY..: Are you running a samsung jb rom device and want some boom right now.
Wanam xposed module is build for Samsung
Galaxy Android device users which are running
TouchWiz interface. Lots of features are built in
this package like call recording, extend reboot
menu, secured keyboard etc.
Per app settings : Paranoid ROM users must be
knowing about this functionality, which allows
users to control and edit settings like DPI, Font
scale, Screen dimensions on per app basis.
We would be adding more modules to this list as
we discover more awesome modules. Please feel
free to suggest the modules you like.
The notification bar is horrible, i like the stock android one where i can turn off wifi/bluetooth etc - i downloaded an app that tries to emulate these things but its not the real deal.
I already use a custom launcher -how can i replace the notification bar ?

I think root with xposed framework will do. But I dont touch that, because I always semibricked phones with it.
Personally, I only miss the brightness in there. Mine is clean showing only the clock and my push notifications. The stock multitasking feature is full of the Features you want in the notification bar and also customizable. I like the idea as the multitask switching itself on the most roms is very "empty". Just your windows and thats it. In EUI its like a "quickbar"
Hello,
I got new phone and since I am a bit more conservative, I hate the transparent background of statusbar and navbar.
I modified the navbar to partially fill my needs, but can't get to have non-transparent statusbar.
Is there a possibility to have custom background image for these bars, regardless on running app?
I can then create my own skin of them.
I have Samsung Xcover Pro, rooted, Magisk and Xposed installed.
Thank you, Tomas.
