i already tried that cd
c:\fastboot\bin
fastboot devices
still the same
when i fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
<waiting for devices>
Edit: fastboot works perfectly before but when i started format pc then used fresh win xp( win xp before) im facing that problem.
try rebooting your system once or maybe just logging off and on
i faced a similar problem with adb...its like it goes to sleep if you dont use it for sometime and to wake it up, you have to kill the server and restart it again. Just a guess

Ok, I'll be brief.
I'm trying to root my Xperia Sola with Binary's method and following the videotutorial I have to make sure if my phone gets recognized by the cmd "adb devices" program.
The result is a blank area, there's no device.
There's a hardware that Windows ask me to install driver called Android, so I installed one of them and no changes...
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

See?
Captures of my problem:
It's USB Debugging Enabled.

Was the computer that this wasn't working on running a pirated version of Windows?
I won't tell on you or anything haha, my computer is running a non-legit version of Windows and I can't get it going at all...
I think it's because of this:

I was using a Windows XP, switched to Windows 7 and was fine, installed all my drivers.
Google the drivers that your phone use, install them and then plug the phone again, it may work.
By the way, it doesn't matter the kind of Windows, if install the drivers it's ok.

HiSuite doesn´t help you. You must work your way into the windows drivers.

Thanks for the tips. It solved the problem for me. I don't know how but more than one year trying to solve it and it is done.
Hey,
I want to install a costum rom to get a free of bloatware system, but I have problems with rooting my device and installing TWRP. I tried some tutorials today, but none worked for the same reason. For example this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/root-t3421932 I have a e2303 so I downloaded the e2303 file and went into the adb folder opened cmd connected my phone with pc while I pressed volume down. after that I copy pasted the command "fastboot devices" but it didn't show me any phone, so I went to the next step and copy pasted the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" , but cmd only said <waiting devices>, so I did that what a different guide said (connecting the phone with volume up), but even that didn't worked. I installed adb with adb setup 1.4.3 and answered every question with "y".
I unlocked the bootloader with Flashtool, and it worked. I even relocked and unlocked the phone again.
My phone is a E2303 with build number 26.3.A.1.33 on android 6.0.1, which should be marshmallow.
That is the adb folder where I tried it:

yeah, I used that tool but the phone didn't use the drivers automatically. which rom has the fewest bugs and no bloatware and is optimized?

No one. But you can install stock, root it, install one of the bloatware-deleting scripts (I can provide you one), install SMK and then it'll be fine )))

hi guys please help me ive tried everything i saw on the internet but still no luck,
i tried reinstalling the usb driver but its still the same.
any suggestions from you guys?
maybe theres other way?
TIA
Which OS? Which drivers do you use? What do you see in device manager? Is your phone really in fastboot mode?
Another way is to use Linux OS, fastboot should work without any special drivers.

possibly what you are missing are the Qualcomm drivers for xiaomi mi a3
What's the command that you used to detect the phone while it's fastboot mode ? My guess it's ''adbdevices'' , if you did that you should try ''fastboot devices '' .

Qualcomm drivers are for EDL mode. For fastboot and ADB, drivers come from Google.

No , you can't use adb while in fastboot mode , only when phone is booted into system and you allow the device . Glad it worked

Hi All,
A friend gave me his broken Pixel 6 phone to see if I could fix it (I hope that it can)
Would any of you know what I can do about the issue below?
Fastboot Mode
I do not even know how I reached this mode. Hope this helps in debugging the issue

I tried it via fastboot mode ("Restart Bootloader" option and when in recovery mode I typed the command) and it leads to the initial video.

I think that is different. The adb command should have the device stay in bootloader mode so you might be able to flash the latest factory image.
Got it to work. For future reference I needed to install the USB drivers and the Android Flash tool worked perfectly, thank you very much!
