Well i've been doing everything on Mac, for example most of the scripts available here are only for windows ".bat" so i just open the file, and start doing the commands manually, and it works perfect, or just create a sh file.
Also there is official support for Mac, that means you have PC Companion alike (Sony Bridge for Mac) and it provides emergency repairs, etc. Here is Sony Bridge
Finally Flashtool is available for Mac too, so you can flash FTF and other stuff, Flashtool for Mac

I've had a couple of PM's asking for an FTF of the 10.1.1.A.1.253 SGP321 LTE firmware, but I've already unlocked the bootloader (rooting failed), so when I use PC Companion to repair the device, it give the "modified software bugger off" message.
Whats the fastboot syntax to relock the bootloader? I'm guessing something like "fastboot -i 0x0fce oem lock", but pls advise.
Some posts I've read seem to indicate that after relocking you have to reload the firmware, but will PC Companion allow the repair? Or will it detect that its "relocked" and tell me to bugger off again?
Guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Relocking via Flashtool 0.9.10.2beta6 worked fine, didn't wipe device.
Using PC Companion, Sony Update Service, or Sony Bridge for Mac failed to repair (no updates available), so firmware cannot be downloaded.
However, Sony Flashtool (EMMA) does allow firmware to downloaded & installed to devices with unlocked bootloaders.
FTF for SGP321 10.1.1.A.1.253 will be available soon.
Hello!
I want to flash a custom ROM on my Sony Xperia phone, but the bootloader unlock isn't allowed. I know the solution for it, but since unlocking SIM lock would cost at T-Mobile Hungary 15000 Ft (about 48 €), I thought maybe PC Companion can do it this way, too. (The official Android updates also just 'flow through it' to the phone.) So I've selected Repair sotware in PC Companion. It downloaded some files, the actual software is likely to be here: C:\ProgramData\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs. Here are (among others) 3 files beginning with 'FILE_', ending with a 9-digit number (they don't heve extensions). I could decrypt them with Flashtool (Tools -> Bundle -> FILESET Decrypt), so they must be the OS insaller files.
Now, my question is: how could I do this reversed? So, if I have a custom ROM, how can I convert it to a 'FILESET'? If this was possible, PC Companion might be able to flash that ROM on the phone. It would be a much easier way.
I hope this is possible - I'd welcome any ideas connected to the problem!
Hi,
how can I unlock my RN3 SD bootloader using Linux alone?
I have tried MiFlashUnlock via wine, but it doesn't see my phone.
I have tools adb and fastboot installed on my Fedora an I can communicate with phone using this tools.
you just cant, MiUnlockTools only works at windows, Someone succeded unlock using Gentoo at xiaomi forums. Maybe you could try using VM. Linux user too here.
Yes I know that. But if someone is ably to debug (sniff) how fasboot is used by MiUnlockTools, then we can do the same on Linux.
you could try unofficial unlock, it can be used with fastboot though i dont know the difference
Mi unlock app is only available on windows (and I'm no longer able to find the old form to get the unlock code). Is it possible to unlock the bootloader while on linux (using fastboot like most other phones) ?

Grab virtualbox, should have one ready to start anytime.. you never know when you need it... Sometimes it is easier to just download and run that windows program than to searh for a workaround for days hehe

Yes but since it's using usb I don't think that virtualbox is reliable (had a lot of troubles rooting my previous phone using a virtualized windows and it finally worked using a real windows). Is there no more way to get the unlock code (to use it with fastboot oem unlock) ?

Unfortunately no.
When you use the right windows there is no problem, i always use it that way.. fastboot and adb work 100% fine but don't wait for MTP showing your phone
Just don't use bloated standard windows, no home or pro version, get ltsb... Not ltsc
I finally unlocked my bootloader using a windows device but another issue I found is that fastboot is not working using linux (working only on windows). The command just hang and never finish. Maybe a driver issue ?
Hi,
Here is a great way to do it. Maybe it will help next time!

Hello. I have an European Huawei Y7 2018, and I want to unlock its bootloader and install LineageOS, but after trying SkyEmie's script and some other scripts, I still have not found the code(every time I try a code I get "Invalid key, unlock fail, error num: 7"). Does anyone know of a better way to get it and unlock it? My IMEI code is 867239033923307, I suppose it is needed to get it.
Also, could you tell me how to install a recovery and LineageOS on it? Thanks.
1. The mentioned script authored by SkyEmie isn't suitable to your phone.
2. Install matching Huawei "Android USB Driver" if not done yet. This Huawei Driver solves all USB connection issues between Huawei Android Smartphone / Tablet and Windows 10/7/8/8.1 PC. It addresses all connection issues, be it transferring files between Huawei device and PC, or debugging over ADB/Fastboot.

I am using Linux(Bunsenlabs Lithium), and I already got ADB and Fastboot working, I can run things like "fastboot reboot" or "adb shell". I do not think that is the problem. Thanks anyway.
