[Q] the infamous yellow triangle nuisance - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

ok fellas go easy on me this is my first post....so....
I rooted my s4 using the odin/motochopper method worked great. I flashed twrp easy stuff. Now, When I try and flash a new rom the yellow triangle of irritation keeps stopping me. I have used the yellow triangle application and i confirmed in download mode that my flash counter was reset to 0. when I boot directly baack to my recovery, wipe, flash the yellow trangle still pops up. after much research Im going to assume my device automatically sets the flash count because i still have a custom recovery. Am I right? or am i using the yellpw triangle app incorrectly? how do you flash a recovery with odin? where the heck can i find one????? A step by step would of how to flash everything back to stock and ill root again using a different method or just how to permanente bypass of the samsung doucheness would be awesome. thank you in advance

If this is important to you, then you need to consider using Triangle Away, stock recovery, etc.

youll get the red mark if you use anything custom. Be it recovery, kernel or rom. Trinagle away will reset it but the mark reappears once you reboot the phone. Only way of not having red mark is to use cf auto root which keeps stock android recovery and dont use a custom kernel. Keep everything stock.

My S3 showed me red mark even after rooting with CF Auto Root. Everything before and after wasn't touched.

You are confused.
If you use Triangle Away without installed custom recovery (CWM) you will not have the exclamation at boot, unless you are booting into CWM recovery.
If you modify anything (recovery, kernel) you WILL get the mark, but only if you reboot into the CWM recovery. If you use Triangle Away with CWM recovery installed (but stock kernel) and you do NOT boot into CWM, but instead, just boot normally, you will not see the mark.
If/when you do boot into CWM (or use a custom kernel), it will reappear, but be gone again if you reboot normally (if your kernel is stock).

[Q] GT-I9100 won't boot, yellow triangle.

Hello.
I was flashing CWM through Odin, as it wasn't included in the root. The installation was a success. Until I attempted to start it, I came as far as the booting screen, at which there was a yellow triangle. It didn't go further than that.
I'm unable to access CWM, therefore unable to perform a factory reset.
How would I be able to fix this?
Thanks,
Alex
Have you tried to access download mode? You should try and flash a stock firmware.

You can just ignore the yellow traingle. Only if you want to send it for repair or something, then you need to remove it and put the counter back to 0. If you want to know how to do this, use search.

flashing a custom kernel (.tar file only) via Mobile Odin won't let that triangle show up ever again.
Sent from the little guy
Philz and apolo kernel can be flashed with odin without increasing flash counter 》》no yellow triangle
After flashing one of them flash any kernel/recovery/rom you want

Or use Triangle Away. With the PhilZ Kernel, however, the flash counter does not increase.

Hmm.. triangle away has always worked whenvever i use it.
If you want to get rid of it that badly i suggest you go back to stock (to remove it) and then flash a custom recovery.. and then flash PhilZ kernel. It wont affect the triangle.

Depending your rom kernel code, you can find his thread here
Please help me. My Galaxy S2 show Yellow triangle on Start Logo. And then stuck at Logo. What can i do.
If your phone is stock & isn't rooted, boot into recovery - factory reset. If your phone is rooted & is running stock earlier or older than Android 4.0.4, boot into recovery - factory reset. If your phone is running rooted stock Android 4.0.4 or if the factory reset doesn't work in other examples, get stock rom from Samfirmware, flash with Odin in download mode.
'My Galaxy S2 show Yellow triangle on Start Logo. And then stuck at Logo. What can i do' doesn't even make it remotely easy to give you help. I reckon I've done a pretty fair job given that though. If you want help in future, you need to tell us everything about your phone (rom, Android version, etc) & what you've been doing with it recently.

If you still want to, you can remove this triangle. But it's not doing any harm, so you can leave it like it is. Just so you know.
