Hi,
i tried to flash hybrom v11 (comming from cm7.2) i followed all instructions but it doewnt boot.
I am getting the android and then a blackscreen.
I also tried to install a different hybrom before, but no chance Does anybody has a hint for me?
Thanks in advance,
ede
Did you wipe cache, user data and dalvik cache?
If you are coming from CM i suggest you to flash a stock rom with stock kernel and boot the phone. after successfully doing it, then you can try to flash hybrom v11
besides, it is good to ask this from boof (the creator) in the hybrom thread
Hi, I have a st15i 4.0.2.A.0.42 with stock firmware.
My system is rooted, bootloader unlock.
How do I install this ROM?
I must first upgrade to build 062?
If so, how do I build on the root 062?

Flash the stock ROM .62

Shutdown.
Flash KRsh kernel v3
Enter Into cwm
Flash HYBROM V11
WIPE EVERYTHING
Reboot.
Wait first installation takes time.

Hi,
thanks for that, it worked. Is this the kernel you suggest for that rom also after installation? Or would you flash another?

Hello,
I am kinda new to installing custom ROMs and all, but after going through a lot of guides here, i finally managed to unlock BL, root my phone and install night-elf kernel and the Xperia Pureness ROM. Everything works like a charm, the only problem is the wi-fi. Cant connect to my modem at all. Heres whats i did:
1. Rooted phone a few months back(locked BL then).
2. Unlocked BL now.
3. Did a nandroid backup
4. Installed Night-Elf's kernel the one recommended in the Xperia Pureness thread
5. Installed Xperial Pureness Rom and NXT files as per the instructions
6. Reboot.
Now having problems with wi-fi. Erm so is this a bug with the ROM or did i do something wrong along the way? Thank you for the awesome ROM fyi
Did you wipe all the stuff in CWM?
Sent from my Xperia Neo V using Tapatalk 2
yes, i did. Followed as per the instructions and wiped/formatted in the order mentioned.
So guys, should i just reinstall to fix the wi-fi problem or is there any solution for it??
I think yes!
You should flash a clean 4.0.4 firmware using flashtool..
Install the appropriate kernel for it!
Boot into CWM.. Factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache..
And then install the ROM.

Dont, i have to root to install CWM??
So, i should install a clean 4.0.4 firmware, stock kernel-->root it-->install cwm->install night-elf kernel-->install Xperia pureness. That's about it??

No problem for me.
Hey, what build are you using?
I have no problems with build 8 and 7 now.
Did you Factory Reset, wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache in CWM?
If not, try reinstalling it. I had this problem too.
I am using the latest build, build 8.
Took me little over an hour, but i finally did it!!
Installed clean 4.0.4 firmware, clean stock kernel --> rooted --> installed cwm --> installed night-elf kernel --> factory reset and all wiping --> then installed the ROM.
Now my wifi works perfectly. Bit annoying that i have to install all of my apps again but kinda fun too
Thanks everyone for helping me out and special thanks to ThilinaC for the awesome ROM, especially loved the walkman app.
I flashed this rom several times but without success. I followed the thread guide: stock ics firmware, then advance ics kernel, flashed SSped firmware zip from cwm, then the SSped Kernel... I also tried with wipe dalvink chace and factory reset before and after flash.
The phone starts normally but is unusable. I have many errors saying: unfortunately, "app.name" has stopped working,,,,
Thanks for the help!

I have been having this too , try the kaSSpeed rom v10 , i found it more stable

Now i am on xpera sspeed 10.1 with last sspeed kernel (5.1). It is very stable...
Hello
I have xperia P.
I unlocked bootloader and flashed a new ROM and new KERNEL.
Now I'm using ThP ICS v8.5 Kernel.
When I unlocked it I tried to flash different kernels but none of them worked except of this one.
Even now, When I'm trying to flash a different kernel, I can't.
When I reboot the phone there are one of the 2 things happening:
1. It stuck on the Xperia logo and I have to reboot and restore backup- this happens on some of the kernels for example sliding XP
2. When it boots, the phone seems to be almost frozen, no vibration feedback from the keys, all the icons seem to be dark and some are missing, for example the slide to unlock. I cannot access the settings menu etc...
so in both cases I have to restore via CWM.
I really want to try to install new kernel. I tried to install the Nemesis kernel but no. 2 error happened.
What should I do?
I have build number 6.1.1.B.1.75

try doing a fresh installation of stock and then move to custom ROMs and then try flashing kernels........
Did you wiped cache and dalvik after installing the new kernel? Sometimes you need to do it for the kernel to work properly. Then, when downloading a kernel check the version that you are getting, there are kernels like the Sliding XP that hve 2 versions, one for stock based roms and one for CM based roms.

Thanks for the advice.
I always download stock based kernels.
I tried to wipe cache and dalviks cache but it didn't help.
I tried to flash nemesis kernel, but it's stuck during the startup.

I don't want to change ROM because I'll need to wipe device.
I just want to try new kernel.
the title pretty much states it, i found a similar thread but didnt quite get me a for sure answer, so more in depth. i have CM10.1 nightly and there is a new nighly that i would like to flash, will i need to wipe then flash the rom and gapps all over again? or i can i just flash over the old nightly and it should run fine without flashing the gapps aswell.

To flash a nightly or any other Rom update all you need to do is wipe Cache partition and Dalvik cache, then flash the update in recovery. You do not have to flash Gapps. All your apps will remain unchanged.

You don't even need to wipe dalvik or cache, I can't remember the last time I did when flagging cm nightlies and I've been flashing them for years now

You should always wipe when making a major os upgrade.
