RSD Lite
New Motorola Logo by Fabio PAB
[Instructions]
1 - With the phone off, leave the device on the screen of AP Fast Boot Mode.
(if you do not know that this screen is just off the Razr and connect it by pressing the power along with the volume buttons, go to the third option with the volume down button and select the button to increase the volume).
2 - Connect the phone to PC, open RSD Lite, click the three dots (...) and select the file Boot_New_Logo_Motorola.xml
3 - Click Start and wait for the phone to restart.
4 - Okay, now just enjoy the Razr connecting with the image of the new boot logo.

What are the other files for?
Hey there Fabio!
Great job coming up with the logo within hours of its release from Motorola itself. It is an achivement UNLOCKED !! =D
But, I was wondering what the other files in the RAR archive are for: such as logo.bin, mbm.bin, mbmloader.bin, allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin
Are the supposed to be there at all? Because your tutorial just uses the xml file... I'm afraid something will screw up if I don't do it correctly..
Anyways, I shall give this a try personally whenever I'm on my desktop, which has RSDLite installed.
Thank you so much for the mod!!
Ficou BLZ
Opa colega, muito boa essa ideia, fiz todo o procedimento e deu tudo certo..
So uma pergunta colega, e se eu quiser voltar ao logo original?
-------------------------------------
Thanks mate, this very good idea, I did the whole procedure and everything went well ..
one more question mate, and if I want to return the original image?
Thanks ! Looks great
Is there a belonging bootanimation ? Would be nice to have all in "one" style :good:

You should probably list RSD Lite in the requirements.
After installing this my phone can't get past the new logo. It just sits there with black screen and a red LED. I had to disconnect and reconnect to get RSD Lite to recognize it as pass, but that's been done before.. Whats wrong?
Edit: Feeling quite frustrated as simply installing a new logo seems to have caused me to be forced to reinstall my phone entirely, if I can even get that working.

Really why? Its clearly 1 of the tools listed to perform the install. Also before doing any mod 1 should have a backup and fastboot files handy. Just my 2 cents.
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
You misunderstand, I was saying that you should add RSD Lite in the requirements, as its not mentioned at all until you get to that step as it is now. Those who don't know they'll need it might start the process up and then realize they're missing RSD Lite.
And yeah, I have backups etc. For some reason I couldn't get anywhere however. I fixed it now by reinstalling my ROM via recovery. The new logo is there, and the ROM is now working. I have no idea what went wrong, never seen that kind of issue before. Very strange, but it works now at least.
Logo looks great!

Because I also think those who are new might not be aware about RSD lite. Not everyone is experienced in flashing things, there are many beginners and making a guide noob friendly is not a harmful thing. It's just a suggestion to op, that's all. And I see he has fixed it too.
Thanks for the logo again!

Welcome to the EternityProject's Motorola RAZR Bootloader Bypass Thread!
What do we have today?
Kexec. After working with a really good developer, [mbm], finally this has become real.
Linux boots Linux. No signature checks.
Yeah, this is the beginning of custom kernels
Oh, remember that this is still a WORK IN PROGRESS!
Known issues (to be solved):
- CPU1 doesn't come up.
- It fails on (some?) CDMA Droid RAZRs
ToDo (by priority):
1. Fix CDMA Droid RAZR problem
2. Fix CPU1
Disclaimer:
The EternityProject and [mbm] aren't responsible of anything you do on your device: if it explodes and kills you, or if it comes to life and becomes something like Terminator, it's YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY.
Plus, prior complaining that it doesn't work, use a STOCK MOTOROLA ROM. Thanks.
Tested on:
651.167.19.XT910.Retail.en.FR
651.167.26.XT910.Retail.en.EU
65.1.40.XT910.MERetail.en.06
651.73.250.XT910.Brasil.en.BR
65.1.40.XT910.AsiaRetail.en.03
65.3.106.XT910S.SKT.en.KR
Installing:
1. Copy the package on your internal memory / MicroSD
2. Boot the bootstrap recovery
3. Install it via that recovery.
Booting with kexec:
Open a terminal emulator or ADB and enter this:
Code:
su
sh /system/bypassme/bypassme.sh
Then wait for 10 seconds to jump over the new kernel. Now your device will vibrate and apparently freeze. Wait a minute and you'll be on the new kernel
You can also set the script above to be automatically executed at boot time or to be a one-tap script with apps like Script Manager.
Video how-to by therazrguy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0o2j543IOMc
In case of freeze:
VOLDN+POWER (press for ~10 seconds) will hardshutdown your device. If it freezes during the kexec boot, retry. Sometimes it can happen.
In case of slow-like-hell device:
Install SetCPU or AnTuTu CPU Master and change your governor from 'mot_hotplug' to 'ondemand'.
Screenshots:

Note:
If something is not working, please remove anything that is automatically running at boot, like auto-recovery and the "Set on boot" option of SetCPU or AnTuTu CPU Master.
The EternityProject Team Manager & Main Developer,
--kholk
I will test to fastboot Asia..
That's amazing job you BOTH did !
Questions:
1. Which kernel did you use as base?
2. Could you post it's source to see the diffs?
Thanks a lot!

After this how can I boot into the normal kernel and use both cores if I want to? Is that even possible or are we stuck with only one core till a fix is found?
Hey Aashrey,
I can reboot my Phone and got the Stock Kernel. After running the script it reboots again and there's the Magic

Because perhaps it seems that reboot and reboot again.
Question:
We(XT910S) have not sbf. So, i'm very careful.
Custom kernel is being applied when BP-Tool boot only?
is it possible back to original kernel? (Normal-boot)
thanks.
Yes exacly
BT Tool = custom kernel
when you reboot in normal mod you have your original kernel

Dear All
Hi, I am a Chinese using Asia XT910, my English was poor, but I can't wait to tell you the NEW Way to bypassing BL Flash SBF of ICS ChinaRetail leak.
--------Background--------
Phone: GSM Rzar - Asia XT910 - China Retail XT910(GSM/WCDMA)
SBF: EU Retail - Asia Retail - China Retail
My phone Asia XT910 can flash any release-keys SBF of EU and Asia Retail, but can not flash any SBF of China Retail(GB and ICS)
A day a guy found a NEW Way to bypassing BL Flash almost any SBF (he just test the ICS leak and GB of ChinaRetail): http://bbs.mfunz.com/thread-399816-1-1.html
But not perfect with TRUN ON and Reboot phone, MUST select "BP Tools" after reboot.

There's a mirror here: http://multiupload.nl/KCY3GHO566
1. Unpack this file to external SD.
2. Flash Retail Asia (Android 2.3.6)
3. Root your device via motofail.
4. Install Connectbot via Google Play and run it. In ssh list choose "local" method. Long tap and choose Android keyboard.
Tap complete and now you're in terminal, input su and set permissions. Input this line as is and hit enter:
cat /dev/block/mmcblk1p18> /sdcard-ext/mmcblk1p18-back
Now we got backup for original 18block file /dev/block/mmcblk1p18
Now change the original one with file from Step1:
cat /sdcard-ext/mmcblk1p18-go> /dev/block/mmcblk1p18
5. Flash china 4.0.4 ICS (maybe you'll have some errors just skip em) via RSD or Fla****.
6. Phone will reboot, go into recovery and wait till radio is flashed, then reboot your device.
7. Hit volumedown+volumeup+power, go into recovery and wipe data/cache, then reboot your device.
8. Once again volumedown+volumeup+power, go into BP Tools, device now will starting, maybe some errors - ignore them.
9. To root your ICS , download this file. Reboot device with volumedown+volumeup+power.
10. run replace.bat
11. run TPSparkyRoot.bat
12. Reboot device with volumedown+volumeup+power.
13. run recover.bat

Oh, man, I hope you're right 'cause I've got LATAM device. Have anyone tried this on LATAM devices with Android 2.3.5?

Given this effectively bypasses the regional restrictions and uses RSD itself to flash a full official 4.0.4 build, I really can't see why the build you're coming from would matter at all (Unless there are differences in the layout or size of the Customer ID block - mmcblk1p18 - in 2.3.5 vs. 2.3.6).
It can't hurt to try it out, since you can always use RSD to get back on a Gingerbread ROM if it doesn't play nicely. Just make sure to back up your own mmcblk1p18 first, and read the instructions as thoroughly as you can - the first time you come across the CustomerID error screen is a bit scary, and rooting it with multiple manual reboots is a real pain in the arse - you have to hold both volume keys and scroll to BP Tools EVERY time you reboot the phone. It's a pain, but fully functional ICS is worth it.
Also includes the new Webtop beta which basically launches the standard ICS tablet UI and scales everything up. And you no longer need a dock hack like Nebtop to launch it without an official webtop accessory, interestingly enough.

Confirmed working on Rogers/Latam flashed RAZR!
Is there ever going to be an official nougat OTA for the swift 2 considering that Cyanogen OS is no longer being updated? Or is the nougat update going to scrap Cyanogen OS and go with something different?
I've seen in some videos where the reviewer was told (from the company) that the device should get nougat anytime soon, but they didn't gave any timetable. It's going to be fun if they drop CyanogenOS and switch to any other system, since Wileyfox doesn't have the resources OnePlus had when they created OxygenOS, for example.
Still, this device seems to be quite open and developer-friendly, just look at the original Swift and all the development it already had. Whenever I get mine after this Christmas, I'd want to try to start working on bringing CyanogenMod 14.1 to it, but don't quote me on that. I'll try to do my best
EDIT: I've found the video I mentioned, however I think on Recombu's review they did also mention something... Hope it's helpful.
I talked with Wileyfox's official account on Twitter and they told me the very first Swift shall get the Nougat update with Cyanogen goodies. If the first gets it, why wouldn't the following devices?
(Sorry for my broken English)

However, they did not officially say whether the update would contain Android 7.0 or 7.1.1, so, what are your sources on that? And what do you mean by "almost done"? Since from what I know, if they really plan to launch it this month they'd currently be in testing phase, not in production

You can't install a official OTA through TWRP, it must be with the AOSP recovery that came preinstalled.
To solve it: Flash the latest fastboot images available at cyanogen's support site and from there you should be able to install the OTA.

That picture says that the system partition has unexpected contents (aka tampered). You need to flash all fastboot images, meaning, erasing your userdata (copy that zip to your pc/external SD card before erasing userdata, since you'll loose it), cache, system partition, dtb, modem, etc, just like I said in my previous post. After that it should work just fine
I thought that I have to install only the recovery "original". If I install all options I will lose everything that I have in my system now??
Can I disable OTA?
Thank you in advance.

If you flash everything, yes, it will remove all contents even from your internal memory.
You can disable OTA by removing WF-OTA folder from /system/app (Although I'm not sure if the system will like the idea too much, so I'd rather freeze the package with TB or something like that).
Ok I will use TB to stop the module.
Thank you for your information.
Best regards.

At the moment the testing stage, almost finished. Some users in Russia already received the update to 7.1, though by mistake. And it doesn't matter who the source is.

Images for Android O Developer Preview have been posted online. Has anyone flashed these yet, and if so, have you found any features or experienced an improvement in battery life/performance?

I have not flashed yet however android O brings mostly under the hood changes at this time. Improvements in areas such as Bluetooth audio, notifications API and also battery usage by background apps

I'll change my original post to reflect that I'm also interested in hearing people's usage experience, particularly regarding early shutdowns or random power drains.
Remember that it is an alpha version...
bootloader is 03.64
radio is 03.81 and I have updated
vendor. img is very big with 191 mb or what do you think?
FYI - root with SuperSUv2.79SR3 does not work. It will boot to lockscreen but your pin/pass will NOT work.
Reflashing DP1 zip fixes it. Wait for updated SuperSU.
About to dirty flash over beta 2.
Let's see how this ends up..
So far so good.
Though it wants me to download and install 7.1.2 beta 2 again :')
and BankID give some kind of library error but seems to work fine.
A lot of things seems to have been re-arranged and/or given a facelift.
Some will hate it and some will love it. Atm I'm with the love it (new is great).
Welp, I tried clean flashing the full developer preview but I can't get it to boot. After successfully flashing all images, it boots to a "No command" screen and bootloops from there.
edit: reflashed the boot.img and it's booting up.

Have you read the release notes? There is no battery life improvement, quite the opposite. This is a very EARLY development preview, it's not suitable for daily driver. It's not even close to a beta release.

As I'm aware, hence it's a developer preview and not a beta.
Having said that, since Google has mentioned battery life optimisations I think it's entirely valid to ask for people to share their experiences once they've flashed it and run it for a bit.

Just follow the flash-all.bat steps
Will flash-all.bat without -w work? Or flashing everything withing wiping/flashing userdata.img? I would like to flash it without losing my apps and data and stuff.

Yeah so it does work without flashing/wiping userdata and don't cause errors or something after flashing? I thought maybe the old userdata wouldn't be compatible with android o or something. Thanks!

Did you all notice the little animation in the status bar when you get a new notification, kinda nice ! BUT there's big lag switching apps, I think ram management is a litrle worse too.

1. Download and update the file with the name update.zip.
2. Place that file in storage/emulated/0/ota/update.zip
3. Dial *#*#1027#*#* and do accordingly.
Is anyone facing any issues after the update?
Does it void warranty or does it need any type of rooting and other stuff? Before installing or is ther any issues faced during update?
++++++ ota error(20) ++++++
Hi, I'm having an error, please help.
I already renamed the file to update.zip, and moved to "storage/emulated/0/ota/" folder.
when I hit "Local Update", it will have a note below my screen in red font: ++++++ OTA ERROR(20) ++++++
and when I hit "Pressure test switch", it will have a pop-up that says: The upgrade pakage list update_package_list or update_package_list_next does not exist.
I'm using BS2 Global.
my current version is: SKYW2005101OS01MQ0
do I need to update in another version before I can apply this OTA (MQ01)?
Thank you.

Hi. The ROM you're trying to flash is for the Global variant (S00). Your device is Global EEA variant (S01).

Yep. Just wait for the official update. Kahit yung sakin S00, hindi ko to flinash. May tendency kasi talaga na nabrebreak yung OTA. And pansin ko rin sa updater, nag-iba sila ng server para sa updates.
All works great. Thanks
do I need to be root to make the upgrade?
I don't have rooted my bs2 and I can't access to the directory that you mention to store the update.zip file.
How much time is going to take the the phone download the upgrade automatically from the network.... I want to upgrade because I having problems with the mic is muted into the call when I plug or unplug a headphone or connect or disconect a bluetooth headphone....or if I change the audio source in any way the mic stop working and the person in the other side of the call can't hear me anymore.....
so please any sugestion to make the upgrade without root.....or how much to wait for the upgrade....
I don't want to root my phone....
You posted a thread previously where we can downgrade to Android 9. We can downgrade from this version also or need to go to MQ0 first?

If your device doesn't have a folder named ota, there's no problem because you can just create it manually.

Where is the setting to disable dual open application? I can't update to MP6. It shows some chinese words and Google translate says disable dual open application in setting but I can't find it. Can't post picture since it says need 10 post. Ok I decided to reset my phone, now the update succeeds. But new problem the update stuck at 0%. Tried waiting and restart but still always 0%. Nvm now it's working.
Overall, How is the update??
Is it better than Android 9??
I wanna try but don't know somewhere I am feeling I will go back to Android 9...Should I definitely give it a try?

ok..I do it
reporting.....I upgraded the phone and I have to report that all was ok, and yes the problem with the mic muted was fixed with this.... so I am happy with that....
The only thing that I would like is that the developers include the option to record the calls native.... I had this feature in my last xiaomi note, and I really miss it.... maybe is the only thing in the software that I don't like.... In hardware what I hate is the fact that don't have a 3.5mm audio output (I think that is a very bad decision in a GAMER phone)... I use the adapter with my headphones but is sad because I can't charge the phone or made a capture with hdmi because I using the port for the audio...

I have troubles finding the file too.... the file link is in the first post of this thread just below the black image of Joy UI (there is a line of text that said HERE is file....just click in the word HERE is in orange color)
thanks to batuken for the help....in fact you can create manually a ota directory in the memory of the phone and then use de code to enter to upgrade menu (I use the steps of this link ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/black-shark-2/how-to/ota-update-a10-joyui-11-cn-version-t4039643 ) ... need to be patient i take about 10 mins or more all the upgrade .....sometimes take a lot of seconds in one determinated percent (like is freeze)...but just wait and let the phone upgrade ..... the first reboot after the update take a lot of time too....
best regards
Alex
