[ROM] Stock flashables untouched ROMs for all HTC Desire V versions - HTC Desire V
I saw that many people are looking for stock versions to return to stock phone state, or for OTA updates and I decided to help them.
Here I made zips for all versions from RUUs or untouched stock versions that I found on the internet. These are flashable thru clockworkmod as any other ROM, but are completely stock versions not even rooted.

How to use these:
1. Download your version (if you don't know it, to find what version you have do the following: install a terminal emulator from market and run this command

getprop ro.cid
, and then go to this page and try to figure what area is your CID from that CID list - I posted all CID's for every version).
2. Download related stock boot and recovery archive and unpack it.
3. In bootloader flash downloaded boot img
4. Go in Recovery and wipe Dalvik cache, wipe all data/factory reset; under mounts menu - format internal_sdcard (not sdcard), format system
5. Copy ROM zip to sdcard
6. Go in recovery and flash ROM from sdcard
7. Reboot phone and see if it's working.
8. Reboot again in bootloader and flash stock recovery
9. Relock bootloader with
Code:
fastboot oem lock
10. Reboot phone
Now you are in stock version ready for updates or for what you want to do.

yes, but you will have BT and WiFi Errors, if the flashed Version is not the same as before

Thanks. Actually I had errors but after just flashing the rom errors are gone. Now BT and wifi working. Thanks anyway.

I am downloading the file already.
But I am just curious if the reason why I want to flash the WWE version to my China ROM version can have a better solution.
A bought this Desire V phone, it's China(English) version and it has "htc market place - displays only Chinese apps" and not the Google play store.
I have searched, downloaded and installed various versions of play store apk to the phone but no luck. It will close 1-2seconds after launching (force closes).
Please, what can I do?
Is there a solution aside flashing another ROM?

The reason of this post is to provide people a solution to return to stock state of the phone for updates or service.
So, you will flash WWE version if your phone has WWE CID, or one of the other versions corresponding to your CID. For other reasons take a modified ROM with Google play already installed. You can't install only playstore, you need more components spread over app, etc, framework, usr, tts... A custom ROM with all these integrated is the best solution for you. Take a look on this forum, there are plenty solutions.

Hey, My acquaintance needs Polish language in his HTC HERO. He bought it in England and no idea which operator or so. He'd like to update to android 2.1. Is any of the ROMS in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=559622 android 2.1 with polish support that could probably work on his phone?
All wwe should have polish I believe. Also all 2.1 custom-built roms I tried had polish (VR 12, RcMix). Sent from my Hero using XDA App
Ok thanks. He current version of android is 1.5. He has installed recovery and there is a bug while hes installing a new rom. "no signature Update failed" Anyone knows whats wrong?
I think you should update to stock 2.1 from HTC and then install custom ROM.
I can't download from htc site.
Turn on wifi in phone and you should get update notification in few minutes.
The thing is, it's not my phone, it's my acquaintances'. He bought it in England from another guy. The operator is called nashua mobile -> i think its african operator but im not sure When he uses the serial number on htc site to download an update, it says it's not for that phone moreover in setting->about phone_> there is no option called "software updates" android version is 1.5 recovery installed AmonRA recovery in this recovery there are 3 options -> 1. reboot 2. flash zip 3. factory reset There is no nandroid backup. Tried installing 1 rom(don't remember which one, not from XDA) and failed.
1. Download this 2. Extract this zip file 3. Put it ROM.zip in root of sdcard 4. Rename ROM.zip to HEROIMG.zip 5. Turn off phone 6. Turn on phone by holding POWER and BACK buttons together 7. Apply update from sdcard 8. Reboot phone 9. Update Android to 2.1 10. Root Android (you can use Universal Androot app) 11. Flash custom recovery from terminal emulator 12. Flash custom ROM from recovery

Up I tried installing other WWE stock roms for hero from the links here on xda and none of them worked. Its checking Custom ID and update fails. Current version is : 2.73.421.5 Is there any other way to flash a rom? I got to know that the rrcovery i installed is a normal recovery, not amon ra - how can i flash amon ra or clockworkmod now?

Hi, I am currently running mySENSE RC3 with HBOOT 1.24, TWRP 2.4.1.0, Baseband HTC_102. I´d like to update to myONE, with new HBOOT and recovery. I was already reading lots of post but the problem is that there is too much information. Can someone give me a step by step how i can update HBOOT?
You should go back to stock and do the JB OTA update. As your cid is HTC__102, you should have a JB update by now Once you've done this, you can install any JB ROM or any ROM that you like

Download your RUU RUU_PROTO_U_ICS_40A_HTC_Europe_1.18.401.1_Radio_10 .21.40.06U_1.10.40.23_release_295191.exe (You can download the RUU here : http://androidfiles.org/ruu/?developer=Proto) Steps : 1. Put your device in bootloader mode then relock the bootloader - fastboot oem lock 2. Still in bootloader mode - run the RUU, follow the instruction, next,next, update, update blablabla and let it finish and reboot then do the JB OTA. No need reinstall stock recovery or boot.img or whatever before the above steps. Note : After 1.18.401.1 there will be OTA 1.18.401.3 then only JB OTA

InsertCoin Rom can't boot
Hello everybody, I would like to share my problem on my htc desire 601 zara_ul. I just did the unlock bootloader / recovery / and root steps but i'm facing another issues. I tried to install the InsertCoin from this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/des...om-insertcoin-3-0-6-zaraul-m7-port-5-t2819869 And sometimes the Aroma installer goes until the end successfully, and sometimes my phone just reboots half the installation. And when it ends successfully , when i reboot, i just can't boot , i'm still stuck on the green htc logo on the white background. Does anybody have an idea of what i'm doing wrong and how i could have a functional phone asap ? ( can't find/undersand how to restore a ruu for this phone ...) I have no access to my sd card because i have no devices to read it. Just tell me if you need more informations , and sorry for the form of the text, french is my native language. You need to flash boot.img from insertcoin rom *.zip. Also you can mount you SD card as USB-Storage from your Recovery (if its CWM - Mount and Storage > Mount usb storage, if TWRP - Mount>Mount USB storage).
Thanks for your answer, I tried to extract the boot.img from zip. Then did a fastboot flash boot boot.img successfully But when i did fastboot reboot it got stuck. I got the same results. Tried to do that with the updater script but with no luck. TWRP says md5 check fail. And philz touch says Finding update, opening update, installing update , then installation aborted. Thx for your help by the way. Any suggestion on what i'm doing wrong ?

Just had the simple question of whether the z-data file has been removed. If that file is removed, the phone should not get wiped.
No its not, and will not be removed from download,this ensures no bugs from things left on storage...and also ensure the storage doesnt encrypt because of stuff left over from other roms...So if you want to remove it thats on you,not resposible for anything that goes wrong. Yes developer edition is same device only difference is ones locked and ones not.The base for the rom is developer edition correct... Thanks for the 2.22.1540 firmware, and great instructions. While I've flashed firmware before and familiar with the process, its nice to not have the proper command syntax right here. Also great forethought to have it packaged with the ROM, and a good explanation of the process.

At first I thought maybe it was the theme and the icon just wasn't showing, but when I went to wifi settings, it wasn't connected to anything. Made some other tweaks in there, mostly visual. Installed Battery Stats Permission, SD Full access, and Xposed Call blocker. That's it. And I did follow the directions to the letter.

Hi guys. can someone give me a download link for the stock recovery file and the boot.img file? I need to install the RUU for my enrc2b. since i have installed many custom roms and current is android revolution HD i cant install RUU by any procedure. the RUU always gives me some errors. I also tried to get the ROM.zip file extracted from the RUU file but it does not work anymore since HTC blocked it or something. pleaseeee help.

What version of HBOOT and RADIO do you see in the FASTBOOT menu?
