What's the best out there.
I used liquid smooth, but had some issues here ands there
Bluetooth connect to my car was not always working
Camera: no camera use when recording
Data and signal service is odd. My gf non rooted had better coverage (especially at EDC in Vegas last week, if you were there you would understand)
What's a good stable aosp ROM?
Thanks in advance

This, as well as what is best for some might not be best for others, users must test and read on their own to make this determination.

A thread was created about this a while back but now times have changed so i wanted to ask for opinion. Sense or pure Google for your liking?
This is my first HTC device and I decided to run stock on this phone and its great! sense is nice and its has replaced many third party apps that i would use on AOSP ROMS. But i do have complains about sense or more particular, Meanrom 4.1+.
I know this device has a large screen and all and battery is beefy but on regular use, im getting about 11-12 hours on MeanRom. I was expecting 16+ hours. its not bad but coming from an LG with an S3 CPU, i feel like i havent moved anywhere with battery life.
Also, The memory seems to be low. Im used to having 300+mb RAM free all the time, now im on this and im between 100mb and 200mb And one more thing is that my screen brigteness doesnt stick to my settings and my cpu control app doesnt stick with my Gorvernor.
What do you guys think? im having a love hate thing here but having S-on, i dont want to constantly switch roms
CM 10 rocks on the Evolution LTE....still in development but a lot of people use it ad a DD....mom's not working properly. Everything else is ultra smooth!

Yeah, AOSP JB rocks for sure but I Think i will just search for A sense ROM with great battery life. Im missing the HTC image sense. The images on AOSP JB images look bad compared to the image quality on sense in both rear facing and front facing cameras. Also, im having proximity issues. What Sense Rom has had the best battery life in your usage or tests?

All the devs have done an excellent job getting the jelly bean roms to where they are today, quite amazing. But for me I can't use any current JB rom as my daily driver, too many issues and I'm not the only one who uses my phone.
I'm just curious to hear what rom your using right now until the JB roms get smoothed out? Or what rom you recommend, which you think is the best and why?
I'm back on 4.03.605.2 stock w/ root for now, but I keep finding myself flashing a JB rom every now and again hoping that the bugs are going to magically disappear and I can use it everyday. I can't wait until all the kinks are ironed out.

I'm on infection its pretty stable but my battery life isn't to great and I'm not to good with tweaking kernels and governors. I'm thinking about trying the jb ics mix from newt and the new jb Rom from neo with the dinosaur name but I will probably go back to stock soon or buy a s3 on Craigslist if the price drop.

I've never had an alarm clock problem. I use a third party alarm app, so I don't know of that makes a difference.

On Ineff waiting for video issues to be cleaned up. I watch too much Netflix and YouTube and the tearing annoys me.
I run both wildstang'83's CM10.1 2-13-13 and shrike's PAC-Man v19.3.0 PMEM, along w/ shrikes Ermahgerd kernel build 13.02.13 and Entropy tweak w/ zero issues.
I'm trying to find one where WiFi tether stays working -_-
Well I'm on Neo's Rax... and having zero problems except Chrome has the tearing problem, but it's very usable for 95% of what I do.

Have tried Infected, Vanilla Cyanogen and one other AOKP flavor and cannot get Exchange account to function properly. Also, BT calling is essential, so that rules out any CM 9 version.
On Ineffibalis Deus for now. Haven't seen anything else that has everything working.
Dumped down the innertubes from my Arnova 10 G2.

I am using business sense 3.6 and tethering works great. About the only ROM where I can enable mss clamping. The only way I can make the tethering work constantly and not kick out after 5 min.

I'm running ViperRez and the only real issue I have is it won't stream audio via bluetooth and I can't get my contacts into my car via bt. But bt phone calls work fine in the car. (and most likely with a bt headset but I don't use one so can't say)

No wifi tether issues on ViperRez. (sense ROM, not sure if you're just talking about aosp)

Have you compared Ineffibalis to Nilsp's Business Sense 3.6 rom?
Asking becuase I like you need most features to work like BT calling for when I'm driving etc.
I find everything to be working in Business Sense except the integrated Voip calling can not send DTMF tones.
I left a question about the SIP client in the Q&A section but no one has responded.

why is BT such an issue with those roms? why is it so hard? also, curious to why HD video doesn't work properly in the JB roms? i had trouble with pretty much all video, SD/HD.
maybe ill try rage or tron, see if that can be a daily driver until JB gets fixed.

I'm also finding this to be an issue. I cannot get WiFi tether to work properly in almost any ROM. JB ROMs don't work with android WiFi tether and the AOSP ROMs won't let me use encryption. I'm tempted to jump ship and goto a desensed ROM or a sense 4.0 ROM till things smooth out.

I ran Liquid a few days ago, I LOVED it, but just wasn't sure it was worth losing the camera. I am just wondering if you guys think it is worth losing some of the TW stuff for AOSP? Do you guys think the camera is much worse than the TW camera?
I'm my experience, it depends on the ROM. As long as the camera works properly, I think AOSP is on par with TW, quality wise. Obviously the features are gone but I'm OK with the quality. It's all the features that have me torn.
My opinion.

Google Edition S4 coming to Verizon. So you will have AOSP with a great camera very soon. No compromise

AOSP is 100000x smoother than TW. IMO. Much better experience

I love PA and AOKP tweaking but I miss the camera (good stock HDR in particular) and certain stability like WiFi AC. With the features available in Hyperdrive and my initial impression of the stock Rom (now thinning 4.2.2), I don't think I'll regret coming back, but if I do, I'll switch back once the Google edition roms hit.

There already is a TW vs AOSP thread for this discussion
Thanks

You ever figure out which was better?
I personally like Slim 2.2beta 2013119, the 4.3 version.
I had SlimKat, CM11 and LiquidKat from Liquidsmooth Team and for some reason I have gotten worse signal with the 4.4 ROMs.
And that's what caused me to reverrt back to a 4.3 ROM.
There was one good working 4.4 ROM Nexus Expereince 1.1 stable build that everything to seemed to work good.
I'll keep trying the new releases sa they come out for a really good 4.4 though.
I like slim best as well so far although the screen artifacts are a deal breaker for me. Back on cm10 for now until 4.4 becomes more stable.... I seem to have storage issues with both slimkat and cm11

Ive tried:
Project infinity Rom
- EDIT: using this rom right now (2.0) very quick and clean. Recommended.
Shohat
-my personal favorite. Very fast and EXCELLENT battery life.
Echoe
-best feature is the keyboard IMO
Overall most roms are identical, each having their own unique features. I like my phone to have good battery life, that is why I chose Shohat. But the echoe keyboard looks amazing! Tough choice.
