I need someone to be my guinea pig and give this build a try. I no longer have the device but think this great device deserves this great ROM.
Your warrenty is now void blah blah. You know the deal. Please hit me with some feedback on bugs. Thanks

Rev. 2 http://d-h.st/mId
Not sure if this will fix dpi issue. I dont have a hdpi.conf file that doesn't have a nav bar. Might need to make one if this doesn't work.
Rev. 3 http://d-h.st/qI6
A attempt to get hardware button layout straightened out. DPI issue unresolved. Use Hybrid settings.
Rev. 4 http://d-h.st/iqW
Possible dpi fix.
Rev. 4 http://d-h.st/rzS
Finally figured out what the real dpi is. Should be allset. check gps to see if recent cm sources fixed issue.
Rev. 5 http://d-h.st/8xn
2.9.5 updates.

I'm downloading now, will throw you some feedback after I have it installed
EDIT: Ok here's my review, first thing off the bat I noticed was the screen size was too big, tried setting the DPI value in build.prop and reboot but it stayed the same. Everything else seemed to run really smooth otherwise, if you can change the DPI to the s2 default I think this rom would then be superb I also wouldn't mind helping you troubleshoot, I'm not a noob to this sort of stuff, so just let me know, I restored my backup but I also have a backup of this rom too...
Im more than willing to help test.I recently gave up a much more "powerful" and well known newer device in favor of a new i777.I am at your disposal

Alrighty guys I have another attempt in o.p. Let me know how it goes.
Got this up and running right now and it works great, no force closes or bugs . Can make calls and use Wi-Fi. One thing though when it first boots up you need to go to the hybrid setting and change the dpi and your set. Also one thing, you cannot press and hold the capacitive keys for different commands they can only be.set for one touch action and there is no option in the setting to add the search key so it's basically blank. I'll post a screen shot after I test it out more.
Here you go

Thanks for getting back to me. The new repository has a whole new way of dealing with hardware keys Im still working it out. Were any of them set to anything at first boot? Also I tried to set the dpi to 213 I take it that didn't stick? Do you remember what it was at before you changed it?

http://d-h.st/qI6 Tried setting hardware soft keys correctly.
The capacitive keys were as follows menu was set as menu, home to home, back to back, and search key is blank but does vibrate when touch. In then setting for the keys I can change the normal key presses but you cannot set the long press key options since they wont work.
The DPI was set to 360 for system and apps, all I did was enable the hybrid mode, rebooted, changed DPI to 213 system and 215 apps and made sure to change the ui mode to phone. It can change to phablet and tablet modes as well. The only issue I have is the search key , and long presses that don't work yet.
This rom so far is awesome and runs smoothly, also battery drain is non existing, though I do have a extended battery, but thanks and let me know if you need more info.
You have a new beta tester! I'll get some screenies for you soon.
Edit:
Initial DPI needs to be lowered. I think it's defaulting to around 350. Should be the low 200's.
Is there a reason Play Store isn't included?
Also, and you may know this, GPS is broken due to upstream CM changes. Might want to note that in OP as this is a feature a lot of people rely on. Maps seems to work, but other apps that use location can't get a lock.

When I tested first release build.prop said it was at 180...
EDIT: Gonna test new build, will respond back shortly...
EDIT 2: Ok you guys may have noticed that the Play Store displays too big when you load it up, to fix that just go to DPI Groups in Hybrid Properties, then add Google Play Store to the 213 DPI Group and that will fix it, I've also got my system DPI screen size fixed This rom is shaping up to be pretty good, nice job RBMacgregor

If the play store is not included its to keep the peace with google. They have done a lot for us and doing what they ask is the least we can do. It was in there at one point but may be pulled. As for the gps I was not aware its broken. I'm not too familiar with this device I'm just trying to get this build straightened out for my girlfriend who has the phone. Do you know what the deal is with gps? Is there a fix available or a commit I can revert?

What was the dpi set at in later builds? I dont have a file I need for hdpi no navigation devices but It must have worked or been in the old repo at one point. Im gonna try and dig into it and see what I can find. Other than stock dpi and gps everything else is hunky dory? system dpi should be 213
Ok. I don't think this will do it but I need someone to install this and tell me if there is a nav bar along with hardware soft buttons. http://d-h.st/iqW
p.s. well done guys thanks for the help.

Great little application. Thank you.
A suggestion, perhaps an adjustable speed warning. IE change screen colour when over a set top speed. (or even stages of screen colour changes ie at 30/50/80 etc)
Thanks again
I noticed the name of your app "GPS Speedo" but some one already has that name for there GPS app over @ http://www.tchartdev.com/
So it'll get confusing to know whats what between the two.
Hi Ralph,
Tried your application yesterday and today and seems to be working fine. Speed shows nicely, AVG seems to be correct.
Some pointers you might wanna consider;
1- The font could be more clear. The "greyed" lines are a bit too visible I think
2- Are the gps records logged? You could integrate this into some kind of export. For people (like myself) who drive the same route to work every day, it would be fun to see some statistics..
3- Max. speed warning (no sound effects, please )
If I come up with something else, ill let you know. Thanks for the nice app!

1 - Still not decided on the font yet, I like the matrix style, but was going for the grid behind it. I might just remove that.
2 - They are not logged yet, I just need to know how people want it logged?
Raw nmea sentences
KML files to use in Google Earth
Or another way
3 - I though of this, how would you like it. Single speed or stepped as suggested before?
I am also going to provide logging for the trip, times/distance/(ave/max) speed etc
Cheers,
Paul.

Hmm, All I do is install the two fonts, I know that WM will use the best choice font, but that's a bit silly.
I'm going to remove this one from the next release. Try going to \windows\fonts and deleting the Font that Ends in A___.ttf.
Cheers,
Paul.

Happened the same to me...
Looks like the apps that are being affected are missing a font, I had this with the Facebook app installed by default on Dutty's Leo R4.
Windows Mobile tries to be clever if you select a font and it's not on the device, it chooses the one closest in size (I think) to the one it's trying to use, thus you get some Random effects.
I'll see if I can restrict the font to only be used by my app, deleting the font will revert your other apps back to normal.
Paul.

At least your other apps are usable again.

Removed one of the fonts as it was making other apps unusable, thanks MS..
Also changed the name as GPS_Speedo isn't unique by any means.
Remove previous version if installed.

Hi all NEON400 users, they asked me to make a rom for you guys, so I decided to give it a go.
Before you flash this rom just make sure you did THIS.
I recommanded to flash through sd-card:
1. Format SD card to FAT32
2. Copy the NBH file and rename it to NEOCIMG.nbh (already did that )
3. Pull and reinsert the battery
4. Press the camera button and the power button
5. Complete update process, press power to start.
6. Reset using button beside USB when completed.
Just keep in mind this is only a testrelease, I can not test it myself because I don't have a NEON400.
Before you place a comment, please people only place comments about this rom and don't place such comments as "'your is better then deepankerjha's rom or deephankerjha's rom is much better then yours''.
We are only trying to help you so keep the comments friendly.
Just one thing be aware you use it at your own risk.
Goodluck and plse keep me informed asap.

Thanks Rata! I'll test this tonight!
Rata, I flashed it twice and it won't boot. It gets stuck at the second splash screen (the Telus one).
I flashed once, tried to boot it, flashed a second time then tried to boot then I hard reset and tried to boot. It didn't boot once. It also doesn't show the ROM and Radio information like it usually does in the splash screen.
thanks for the effort. I'll keep testing.

Okay, one issue is with the SMS tab in Titanium. It doesn't show the texts. See the attached screenshots.
Is there some reg setting that'll take care of this? It seems like it should be simple.
Also, in the 3rd screenshot there are two versions of USBtoPC...only the one of the left works.
A couple other issues probably relating to the same things:
When I plug in the USB cord I get an error on popup.
I cannot send text messages. I think it has something to do with the SMS program? SMS receive works and call place and receive also works. Cannot test data as this phone doesn't have a data plan.

Yes, Preconfig launches - works perfectly
Phone boots in 28 seconds
IR N/A
Wifi N/A
BT works
No data plan so cannot test data, however EV is displayed which is the proper image
BT connects to my PC but have not tested A2DP or standard headset.
MMS untested
SMS receives but does not send
Hardware keyboard works but there is no t9 multi-tap.
Button pressed will only type the first letter printed (i.e. QW key only types q...5GH key only types 5 etc)
Slide of keyboard performs no screen action.
Voicemail prompts
Dialer has a vertical scroll bar which can scroll for a while. Weird. See screenshots.
Dialer buttons function properly
Background is proper
Smart Dial works properly
Smart Dial is readable
Ringtones work
Calls place correctly
Incoming announced correctly
Missed calls recorded correctly
Memory and phone info is correct (see screenshot)
Will ignore program testing for now
ROM version is displayed
Phone feels very very fast (as compared to the stock 6.1 and another 6.5 ROM)
Unsure what pagepool is set to now or what the effects of it;s change would be.
Telus neon400 user here
In addition to the last post, I can't turn bluetooth on or off from the communication manager (the HTC thingy )
However, I can turn it on manually if I go to Start -> Settings-> Bluetooth
Just a note...the phone feels very fast compared to the stock 6.1 rom. Keep up the good work!
Thanks buddies

Okay read the testresult from 88fingerslukee and I think the hard work for me is to get sms working, from what I can understand from the both of you, it's a pretty stable base to continue with, so this is what I'm gonna do right now is to create the same rom on my Niki and see if I have the same errors, after that I will release this one and a full rom.

BTW, you don't know how much courage my testing takes! This is my girlfriend's phone and she uses it all the time (complaining about the Stock ROM all the way I might add). I have to wrestle it away from her to do the testing and then put it all back afterwards so she can actually use it.

Thanks Rata, sorry about my short reply up there...I didn't have time to get all fancy with my words.
I didn't notice much change from the v.2 ROM except the speed was a little slower (most likely owing to Manila being included). All-in-all the touchscreen response on these ROMS is the best this phone has ever had. It's always been sluggish to respond but now it's snappy.
I think if we could port Android to this thing would be the best in the long run though.

here's my first attempt at a modification package. it's all pretty much been done before elsewhere, but it's not been bundled together by anyone else for the arc, so i figured i might as well put it up here in case anyone else is interested.

hansip87 for swipe-to-clear mod tutorial
if anyone feels that i've not acknowledged their contributions in any way, it's entirely through my own ignorance, so just let me know and i'll be more than happy to credit you for your work on here.
and no, don't bother donating to me for this - give it to those above who've made it possible in the first place
the install file is available here:
http://www.box.com/s/d8yeiv5u1gcsu470noai
all files are zipaligned, too, for those who care about that sort of thing
there is an undo file available here:
http://www.box.com/s/xvgpvjtcpp19hi0n1d8d
the uninstall will revert to the stock framework/res/systemui/settings/android.policy files, so backup these files for your own sake before installing this mod. my working installation is arconium 7.1, so that's where my starting point was for these files. i've had some issues with the uninstaller from time to time, though, so let me know if it's not working for you and i'll see what i can do.
it's my first ever mod, so please let me know what you think, and if you have any more suggestions that you'd like to see included post 'em and i'll see what i can do.
equally, if anyone wants to see my working files, i tried to split out the mods into individual changes from the stock decompiled files as i found that easier to keep track of the changes. if they're any use to someone, just ask and i'll send you my working files.
Looks Cool! Awesome Work Dude
Nice mod bro btw interested in 2G/3G Toggle mod? Unfortunately my current mod is out of bandwidth till next month so if you want to port it by yourself you'll have to wait until 1st March.. or go to like-p's page on XMP themes and apps and he already ported the 2G/3G Toggle to XMP
any chance of getting back to kill app on its own without all the other stuff?
thanks

i don't see why not... do you need it as an installable zip, or are you more interested in the details of the changes so that you can hack around with it yourself? i'll see if i can get something sorted out for you on this score later on today either way.

2g/3g toggle mod could be a useful addition to this so thanks for the heads-up! i'll have a look and see if i can work out how to include it - i have to admit that the smali code is a complete pita to get my head around - such a shame apktool doesn't decompile into java instead as i've worked with that for over 12 years i don't suppose you know of a language primer for smali code at all?

Smali is essentially a java optimized for dalvik. It's easy to understand once you get used to it only that all the type is included in each object mentioned instead of one include directive on top of java file. another differences is that variable is assigned with a v (v1, v2, etc) and parameter is with p (p0 -> usually a replacement for 'this' inside object based function or just a first parameter in a static function, p1, p2, etc)

well, i've tried to keep the mods as separate as i can while i was doing them so that they could be combined. there's only a few that crossed over significantly, but the control panel mod was one of them. as it stands, i'm toying with the idea of trying to move it beneath the notifications as in landscape mode it takes up most of the available screen space, and the notifications aren't really visible. ideally, i'd do it more like miui, with the page of icons and a page for notifications, with the view defaulting to notifications if any are present. but that's just me - i really liked miui, but for some reason the touch-screen doesn't seem to respond properly on cm7/miui on the arc s. ah, well

sorry about that - i'll have another look at this later on today. might be as simple as me forgetting to put the correct jar file into the zip with a bit of luck :/

second attempt, then: try this instead just tried it on my phone, and seems to work fine for me this time. it still has the 'never' option on the display timeout in there too, as i'm a little pushed for time to pull all of those changes out, but there shouldn't be anything else left in there.
brilliant will give it another go, thank you

Fast boot..which I've come to expect from almost all slim builds.
Been awhile since I used slim..forgot about the DPI difference. Might be worth noting in the op.
No theme support..again, been awhile..lol
Super Smooth transitions, fast responsive browser
I think I would run this as a daily..just from initial look. But I must have theme support and I would also have to change the DPI..but that would be easy enough.
All in all..nice build. I'll stick around and see how it develops..but for right now I'm going to give you're aokp a swing.:good:

I was thinking of changing the dpi from 182 to 210 but wasn't sure if users would want that, so I'll make a note of it in the op. thanks for the tip. i honestly don't think any slim builds will get theme engine, users have been requesting that for ages and hasn't happened.

+1 what peterson65 said. the way i do it is via "root explorer" (the app) navigate to system change permission to r/w open up build.prop and look for "ro.sf.lcd_density=182" and just change 182 to what ever like (320 is stock), save after making the edit and reboot to see it the change sticks.

Hey, I flashed this ROM today. Very nice looking and feeling, but I'm having one major issue. When I go to unlock my phone (hit the power button to turn the screen on), the screen doesn't turn on. The button is working. The capacitive buttons under the screen light up, but the actual screen doesn't turn on. I have to hit the power button 2-5 more times.
Anyone know what is up and how to fix it?

you need to use an app to raise cpu speeds this rom doesn't have that feature built in, I'm using "setcpu". what do you mean not compatible? i just installed it fine, if you obtained it from gapps that might be why.

Installing SetCPU now. I'll let you know if that works. For Hangouts, it wasn't in Gapps. I'm trying to get it from play store, but it says incompatible.

Cleared Store data. Same thing. Also tells me it's incompatible when I check from the desktop web Play Store.
Also, I don't seem to have root? I thought that any custom ROM would automatically have root access. What do I need to do to get Root so I can use SetCPU?
Thanks for all the help!
Thank you so much for continuing to build for our notes. Appreciate it very much! I love my note, and hate to give it up. . Be a few days before I'm able to load this, but when I do....

This may come across as a stupid question but are you referring to a kitkat compatible recovery like the latest Philz or latest CWM or an actual "kitkat" recovery?
Thanks in advance.

Wow... lolly pop is super smooth. Like butter. I had an issue with getting the keyboard to pop up at first. The camera only works in selfy mode and crashed when I tried video. I also live in central Pennsylvania so after I sent one text, it wouldn't send anymore. That can be fixed though on my end, I think. I also couldn't hang up on a call. All in all though great start.
Will lollypop get the theme engine like CM? I think that was the only thing I would miss in it.

I installed with twrp 2.8.1.0. Could not get keyboard either. Had to go into language and input and turn on hardware keyboard. That made the keyboard start popping up. I'm also getting the black pixels during screen rotation. So far it looks like there's no way to disable the capacitive button lights either
Pretty darn awesome that this is out though! Thank you so much
Only big bug I have encounter in an hour or so of playing around is that it cannot connect to the rear camera, only front facing, as glockman4519 stated. And also the keyboard bug, but that's only on the first boot so far.

Found another bug, or maybe I'm just dumb, but I cannot get the heads-up notifications to do anything. When you have the screen on and you get a text or a phone call, the notification will pop up along the top, and I can only swipe them away. I cannot tap them to open the app, I cannot press the 'answer' or 'ignore' buttons that pop up on the phone call notification. I tried tapping, double tapping, swiping up. Nothing. I can only dismiss the notification by swiping left or right.
Anybody else experiencing this? Or am I doing something wrong?

Still no keyboard for me. I didn't see any option to "turn on hardware keyboard". When I clicked on the item under "hardware keyboard", it popped up a window saying "configure keyboard input method" or something like that. I configured one, and then hit the back button till I got back to my home screen, but still couldn't get a keyboard to pop up. I'm using Nova launcher, if that makes any difference. And trying to use Hacker's Keyboard....

Weird, I don't remember seeing that toggle. I'll re-backup my current cm11 and restore to cm12, see if I can't find it. Thanks.
Ah, yes, there it is! And it's working fine, now! Woo woo!
Some people were saying the back-facing camera wasn't working. It seems to be working for me.

I couldn't get the main camera to work. The front, or the one used to take selfys is the one that comes on by default. And there was no way to turn the camera around. This was on my phone and your mileage may differ though.
Give it some time though as this is the early release and will have bugs. I have to say again though that the smoothness of this rom is unreal.
Tried everything, verified md5, wiped it raw, tried newest Philz and TWRP. Cannot get this bad boy to boot. Just bootloops over and over again. Sigh.. This build don't like my phone.
pixelation during rotation is fixed, it was some legacy graphic code that got merged that fixed it. Working on stabalizing ril, gps, and some other fixes.
