Is it possible to get this ported over to 2.2??
I'd love to have this as well.
Anyone got a video of it?
I've been searching around for this as well and would love it on my vibrant if possible

hmmm no video..but you can test out the NS in a best buy...kinda hard to explain the animation in words..u have see it for yourself
think of a tv screen shutting off and the white light recedes twds the middle creating a horizontal line until it completely goes away...

yeah thats pretty slick. i'd definitely like to have that on my phone
Im guessing that it's a no!!
This mod depends on Samsung framework and wil not work on CM7 or other AOSP based builds.
Edit:
Well its done! Check out de video i made: http://www.izlesene.com/video/galaxy-s2-fancy-rotation-animation/5208061
A video from someone with better vidskillz
thnx mccune
I am testing if everything works on the phone. If so i will post instructions
Disclaimer: Thanks go out to Samsung for integrating fancy rotation in Gingerbread on the Note.
I only did find out which file caused the fancy rotation. (Why dev if it allready exists right?)
Attached libsurfaceflinger.so and libsurfaceflinger_client.so are from a 2.3.6 Note rom (KKA i believe)
Edit2:
Aight here it comes. This is tested to be working 100% on GB 2.3.6 XWKK2:
Push atached libsurfaceflinger.so and libsurfaceflinger_client.so to /system/lib
or copy it with rootexplorer and replace, your phone will soft reboot.
or create a cwm zip and share
voila
Custom rom builders: sacrafice your roms to this mod
CWM flashable zip by Intratech
Allright. I will make some sparetime and dive in to The note source to figure out if i can find something in myorientationlistener. I think The mFancyRotationAnimation could give something

Can confirm, works fine on CheckRom.
Okay, one small problem, sometimes if locking the phone upside down with CRT-animation on (both on screen off and screen on), when the screen comes on(press a button or something), sometimes the image shown on the screen is upside down and mirrored, but the touchscreen remains the same (not upside down), but it goes away when you unlock the phone. I don't know if it's from this or something else though.
Works on checkrom v4!!!

Noticed that too just now. Also after a reboot: Under CRT-Animations the image is flipped upside down
Awesome!!! But it needs a little bit of work, because it doesn't display correctly the images in Gallery when rotating.
No probs on XWKK2. Also no flipped image on lock here.
I can not reproduce the errors yo mention.

When i capture a picture i see some black dots. At firs they were small but when the time goes on they got bigger and bigger. I tried to clean the camera with pure alkohol but no help. Any ideas how to solve my problem?
That really does seems like an external problem, are you using some kind of a case that might've cover the cam?
how's the pic's with a different camera app ?

something might be present on the surface of camera lens from the inside. i mean dust like thing might have entered somehow.
Hi Techies,
This is one of the worst snafus ever.
This is the BSOD of androids. This
is infuriating. It all began with the
slow bloody network: the 'E' and 'H'
problem? To rectify it, I downloaded
the Android Secret Codes app and the
rest, as they say, was a disaster.
The code that I pressed was this: *#0*#
This displayed an array of coloured boxes
which were all 'geek' to me. Then I, 'accident
like', pressed a blue box in the top extreme
right corner. An arrow appeared which upon
pressing, produced a billion shortcuts which
disappeared when I 'repressed' the arrow.
Now the arrow refuses to go away (just like
my mom-in-law). So can you guys help me
get rid of my mom in law, er, the arrow?
Thanks

Take a screenshot of the keyboard, invert colors and display it until the issue is gone.
There are some apps on the play store as well
