you can try the camera firmware update in samsung apps.
there is hope for you that the firmware fixes it
ps at work 5 ppl including me have the SGS2 and one had to turn it back to the shop
after 3 days of using the camera had only a black screen and the buttons on the screen were freezing.
a hardreset and the firmware update for the camera didn't fix it.
I have the latest software of camera....and its not always...in d morning it was running widout problem...

How much battery life do you have left when it shuts down? The video on the sgs2 does not work below a certain percent (10 or 15%). Is your phone barry at this level when it stops recording?

(Q) How do I stop my phone from auto closing apps?

I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note LTE and this phone is really getting on my nerves. Sometimes I am using an app halfway and it suddenly auto-close for absolutely no reason. Just to note, it's running on Android 4.0.4 ICS.
Maybe I should have bought an GS3 or something else other than this garbage.

This is a very strange behavior, indeed. What do you mean by using an app halfway?
Maybe you should do a factory reset, with a nandroid backup first....

Uninstall the apps which would force close suddenly.
I meant that I was like playing a game and in the middle of a race, it suddenly auto close.
Sometimes even Google Chrome and the default browser would auto close. Restarting my device would be a temporary fix and it would auto close again once it's 'overloaded'. Currently, I tried putting the maximum background running apps at 4. Still observing whether it works or not.

Have you tried clearing the Cache of your device?
How do I do that?
Sent from my GT-N7005 using xda premium
Since you are in ics, you won't have the option available by default.. So I suggest you to use some third party apps for this.. You can try app2sd available in android market.. Even though the main purpose of this app is not clearing cache, you have the option to do this.. Have a try..

You can use apps Memorry booter.
Thanks a lot. Does this actually prevents any auto closing in future?
Isn't that the same as task killer apps?

Phone Flickers Then Shuts Off?

So I had this problem constantly. My phone would flicker from nowhere and then it would shut off. Any ideas what the problem is? This happened on stock unrooted 4.1.2 as well. And now it is happening on Revolution ROM '14 edition. Any help is appreciated.

I'm having this with every rom/kernel I use. It either overheats when overclocked, and when it's not because of the temp., it happens when I play big, 3D games like GTA 3, etc.
Check cpu temperature
