[Q] Boot animation sound in spice Mi-350 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi..I Have a rooted spice Mi-350 (ver 2.3.3) phone..I have successfully changed the boot animation and shutdown animation..but not able to enable the new boot animation sound. I have tried pasting mp3 files with name as "bootsound" ,"boot_sound", "android_sound" ... and put them both in system/media folder as well as data/bin/ but no sound at boot... (also I think i renamed or deleted some file long ago to stop the stock boot animation sound.. it was really pathetic!! and so can anyone guide what should be the file name and format and location to enable the boot animation sound ?? and also is there any file which controls the sound start like desc.txt file..read it somewhere...

Ideally someone having a rooted Spice Mi-350 can give me the list of files in the system/media folder and data/bin folder so that I can know whether I am missing any file??

[SOLVED][Q] xmp stock ics boot animation mod

Hi,
Is there any mod, which has the stock android 4 boot animation (like this)
I found this Thread, but he stopped developing and I love the stock boot animation. Is there one I can flash with cwm?
Thx
Michael
You only need root access and some file manager to change your boot animation. CWM is not necessary.
Use file manager that can mount system partition (probably need to check 'allow mounting system partition' in the settings) and replace /system/media/bootanimation.zip with your own custom animation (of course you should rename/backup your old/original bootanimation file just in case). Afterwards set permission of bootanimation.zip file to rw/r/r.
Ask creator of that thread to send you bootanimation.zip file, and you're set to go. Also there are tools for that, so if you want to, you can create an animation yourself.
I changed my boot animation few days ago, using this thread. Hope it helps you.
Thanks a lot a few minutes before I had found the windows boot animation too.
Here's a very nice site for boot animations. I'll try some

[Q] Huawei Y300 boot sound and boot animation

Hello everyone
After changing my boot sound (from a chinese one to the stock huawei one) when everything went ok!
then i changed the boot animation (again from a chinese to a normal one) but i lost the boot sound!!!
I did all these by just renaming the old files (bootSound.ogg and bootanimation.zip, bootanimationex.zip) and copy the new ones to the same exact folders not with TWRP or something else.
Why this happens?! Inside my original bootanimation.zip the file desc.txt does not contain any information about the sound like s sound.ogg or something like that???
Can you explain me why this happened !? and how can i fix it!
Thank you!

[Q] LG Realm {ROOTED} Problem

So I rooted my Lg Realm ls620 with TowelRoot and I downloaded ROM Toolbox full version for 5$ from PLay Store
Which comes with cpu control boot animations Led control and more.
When I was going to flash a boot animation I downloaded from it I accidentally chose a plain picture instead of the thing I downloaded from it. Now my Lg realm wont go past its startup screen.
This is what it says on the top left corner upon startup.
[670] fastboot_init()
[670] Error:allocating memory for ssd buffer
[670] USB init ept @ 0x7ac9000
[710] udc_start()
Is there a way to fix this? I even tried to factory reset. It says it's resetting but nothing happens within hours.
Im kind of new to this rooting/bricking stuff. Thanks.
Have you tried removing battery and putting it back in? I had something similar happen (not with bootanimations though) and that worked for me.
I've used bootanimations from rom toolbox and xda without a problem. If you install a bootanimation from rom toolbox it puts it in system/media folder but your not done yet. Using root explorer go to system/media folder and copy your bootanimation to carrier/cust/poweron (rename the one that's in there first to bootanimation.zip1 if you don't want to delete it). Make sure to rename your new one bootanimation.zip. You have to change permissions. Using root explorer press and hold on bootanimation scroll down and tap on permissions. First column "Read" check all. Second column "Write" check first box. Uncheck all others. You can use the same procedure with a shutdown animation in the poweroff folder. You can use the same bootanimation or a different one and just copy to poweroff folder rename it to shutdownanimation.zip and change permissions the same way you did for a bootanimation.
Also if you want sound with your animation below the bootanimation there's a Poweron.ogg file. You can use a notification ringtone (I used the Darth Vader one to go with my r2d2 droid animation). Using root explorer just copy your ringtone to the poweron folder and rename it to Poweron.ogg (delete the one that's in there first) and change permissions to the same as the bootanimation. You can do the same in the poweroff folder just rename that one to Poweroff.ogg.
Other people have deleted these poweron and poweroff folders and used just the system/media folder, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/themes-apps/bootanimation-android-5-0-l-boot-t2814467/page34) post #335, but I like doin it this way.
Edit: Rename PowerOn.ogg not Poweron.ogg and PowerOff.ogg not Poweroff.ogg.

[How to] Restore Stock Boot Animation

Hi,
I own a Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500G) running on Lollipop 5.0.2. I have recently rooted my device and have installed a Root Explorer. My aim was to change my boot animation. At first, I thought that I would replace the bootanimation.zip in system/media, but then, I couldn't find any zip file in there.
I had many files, but the only three which seemed to be related to boot animation were these :
bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsungloop.qmg
bootsamsungmini.qmg
I am sure that I can also do it by flashing the animation in recovery mode. But, I also like my default Samsung animation. If I had found the original bootanimation.zip, I would make a backup and would be able to restore the original animation whenever I wanted. But, with no original bootanimation.zip, how would I do that?
Thanks..

Oh! I understood that. Newer Samsung devices like this don't support the bootanimation.zip. It uses the .qmg format. At least other people who have this query will be helped...
