|Hi everyone,
I got a XPERIA X10i from UK and live in Brazil. One week ago my x10 fell from the sofa while charging. 30cm were enough to give me a massive headache. Now my phone doesn't charge or connect via USB anymore. I sent it for Sony Ericsson in Brazil and they told me that the USB port was gone and it's stucked on the main board of the phone, which means that I should replace the main board. The problem is that they charged me 3200 reais for a replacement mainboard, almost the value for two new X10 phones.
I bought an external ac charger and an extra battery for my charging issue but I still got an problem, I can't update my phone. Does any of you guys know if it´s possible to update the X10 without an USB connection? Do you also know if I can replace only the USB port on the mainboard?
Please help me!
any one please were can i find a micro usb charging port mine is broken, and sometimes i can get the phone to charge
I am not sure what you are trying to say, just get another microUSB cable from Ebay for $1.

I have a xperia neo v but unfortunately one of the pin of sim tray is broken. I gave it to service center but I have been told that sim tray is attached to motherboard and whole motherboard need to be replaced which will cost almost 75% cost of the phone. I still suspect that such a small issue would cause replacing motherboard. Can somebody please confirm this if anybody has any idea on internal circuitry of neo v.
Hello All,
A friend of mine has just did something interesting to his Galaxy S2, he cut a microUSB cable, connect it to his car's electricity bypassing the 12 V to 5 V converter (car charger module). And he might also plugged it inverted (GND and VCC swapped).
So he basically supplied 12V DC to his Galaxy S 2
Does anyone here has any experience like this?
What is the verdict? Could it still be repaired? maybe by Samsung service center? or cannibalized for the screen? I don't know how far did the 12 V go into the phone circuitry....
I think the phone is totally death after this kind of experience, isn't it?
Thanks,
Cheers,
Widita

How do I fix a miniusb port that has malfunctioned for my Sony Xperia Z Tablet? I purchased this a while back and since Sony decided to make there miniusb cord a different size ( barely undetectable by the human eye) I guess I forced my cord and bent the prongs on the female end . Please help!
