This happen on every rom? Why still GB. Check dmesg and logcat, dp you have governors set up properly? Download CPU Tuner or SetCPU (available for free on XDA) and try changing settings (max freq and governor) by hand. If this persist check running apps, maybe one of them keeps heavy load on CPU?
Finally, try flashing something ICS or later and report back.

What happens if you limit top frequency? Is it still running on full freq, despite limiting? Are those running correctly, having root privileges?
You can get logs by ADB. "adb logcat" and "adb shell dmesg" are your friends. If you need more details on them search forums.

Im on wicked rom and siyah 2.6.6 do i need to flash anything else on to it. I heard people talk about battery scripts and all that. And changing the voltage and im not sure if im suppose to flash on a script or something. If there is something i need to flash then someone let me know. I just want a good battery thats why i choose siyah so maybe this script stuff is good. Plus theres not one theres mutiple scripts so then which one. Its all very confusing to me :? Soneone enlighten me please
Thks

Ask in the Siyah thread in the development section.
No you don't need cuz in version 2.6.3 we see
removed siyah-battery, siyah-defaults and siyah-performance scripts from the blog. please remove all existing scripts before installing this version (or flash your existing rom again to remove all scripts). use init.d scripts if you know what you do, otherwise use VoltageControl app or ThunderBolt! scripts. use this CWM recovery flashable zip to remove previous 01siyah script. just flash it once and /system/etc/init.d/01siyah script will be removed.

and for 2.6.6 you don't need zip for battery.
The scripts people are talking about are pikcahu's thunderbolt! scripts, you dont need to flash them if you dont want to, they can help, but performance/batt are good at stock values.
(Part of thunderbolt! is built into the kernel anyway)
Thanks guys so i should leave it at wat its at when i flashed 2.6.6

Lol kl at the moment its nothing special then again i only flashed it yesturday. Do u think there is any point using set cpu with 2.6.6

What do you want to change?
I would use voltage control myself, though with 2.6.6 it wont set max frequency correctly, that's supposed to be fixed next kernel version.
Well i use it to clock cpu lower at low battery and screen off

Yeh you can use setcpu to-do that, if you want! It wont hurt anything. Dont Undervolt to much or you may get instability.
By undervolt u mean underclocking right ?

No.. undervolting is lowering the voltage at each frequency step
Underclocking is lowering the max frequency.
eg setting the max to 1000mhz would be underclocking
setting 1000mhz to 1100mV would be undervolting (just an example)
I havent even touched voltage settings i have no exp in tht

Wat would you say is better ondemand or this new lulzactive l. Whats the diff.

im sure the cpu would report other frequencies too. if you want to check the high cpu usage install os monitor from market and find the culprit app

so what was the cause of this? did you ever find the reason? I even did a factory reset and still seeing 80+% usage at 1500 (or 1026 when i got power save on) with minimal time in deep sleep.

I didn't never find the reason.. but when I changed roms couple times it started to run at lower frequencies. It could be too newer android what solved problem.

For the right answer - use BetterBatteryStats (there is a free XDA-dev build somewhere around)

Soooo slooooowww

My problem is that non of the apps seem to be stuck in ram so every time i want to launch an app it loads up all over again every time, im running stock cm7 fxp 130, min freq 384MHz, max 1013 MHz interactive governor, tried to improve it with v6 supercharger but no result

Hey, this is the only ROM that happened to you? I mean, this issue still happen with CM9 ICS Xperia S?
Did you wipe dalvik cache
Also perform a clean and full installation of ROM again http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17998666&postcount=12446

Hey, try to move so many apps as you possibly can to Your sd card. (have at leas 100mb free, and 50mb of RAM) Also check out if You haven't set any option for max number of background processes.
With Rom toolbox you can manage RAM and chooose which application/process must be designated

ROM ToolBox--->Performance--->Auto Memory Manager
Your using that rom? That is on my worst rom list. You can do soooo much better. In its stock state it really bad. Alot of work went into it but it's in MY OPINION not daily driver material.

Try cm9 by cmx10, u can also try using supercharger to lock specific app in memory....all though that will lower d chances of d odr ones chiling in memory

[Q] Cpu profiles..

When i try to set profiles !for apps nly!with a cpu program doesnt matter which one (setcpu, cpu adjuster,..) they never execute.. it seems like the program doesnt see that the app that u selected is running..
Im running omega rom v43.3 (mc3) with boefflakernel 2.9 if that would be relevant...
Any1 knows what i may be doing wrong or how to fix it?

Fix for 4.2.2 roms rebooting

I already posted this on the Rootbox rom thread, but I know not everyone reads the whole thread so it might save a bunch of people from asking the same question on different threads over and over again. I have tried out a few 4.2.2 roms and they would always reboot randomly, I used the 4Aces kernel and the Uber kernel and got the same results, constant random reboots. I fixed the problem by turning off CPU profiles. I use SETCPU to overclock, but I assume this is a kernel problem that would happen no matter which app you use to overclock. Hope this helps others!
Just to clarify, I'm still overclocking my device I've just turned off the CPU profiles.
Thanks a lot Porkenhimer, Will try this fix asap.

Soo, yeah, OP, what exactly are "CPU Profiles". Is this some app? Or is it the setting like in SetCPU that lets you change profiles around in sleep, wake etc?
I don't see it on SetCPU.. Under the Profiles tab, the "Enable Profiles" is not checked. Never has been . I still get the occasional reboot but its somewhat rare at this point. Nothing to concern myself with

Many things happen that cause reboots... Set cpu profiles may be a problem with certain rom and kernel combos but is not a problem for others...specify which rom and kernel combos your using

Did an experiment yesterday and today, I ran 5 random 4.2.2 ROMs each for two hours, 1 hour with no CPU profiles setup and 1 hour with CPU profiles setup and enabled. I used the 4Aces kernel for each test. I also used a different profile setup for each ROM. I did a full wipe before installing each ROM. The ROMs I used were PAC-Man, Alliance, Rootbox, ReVolt & Jellybeer. I did not install any apps except for SETCPU. I had a total of one reboot with CPU profiles turned off, which was with the PAC-Man rom, and the least amount of reboot I had was with Rootbox, which was 3 reboots in one hour with CPU profiles enabled. Its pretty clear to me that enabling CPU profiles at least with the 4Aces kernel, will cause reboots. I had used both both the 4Aces and Uber kernals before doing this test and got reboots on every 4.2.2 rom I tried so I'm guessing if I did the same exact test with the Uber kernel I would get the same results. I'm not saying that other things are not also causing reboots, but its clear to me that something bad is happening when CPU profiles are enabled.

Yes its the tab that says profiles in SETCPU.
Well you must have had a borinnnnng day haha. ... And your eyes must hurt for waiting on reboot.... I run 4/20 rootbox with profiles set for screen on 192/1242 WHEATLEY and screen off 192/972 powersave...4aces kernel. Only had one reboot and it was my daily driver for over a month. ...also the new base changes and merges may be messing with profiles set for set cpu in the newer 4.2.2 builds of roms and kernels. Cool to see someone giving that much time in a day to watch for reboots. Keep visine handy ...hope you figure out more
---------- Post added at 03:35 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:33 AM ----------
And actually run a logcat of it re booting with profiles and we will have some answers to what is causing the issue
