[Q] Where is the AOKP thread? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I saw on Android Police over the weekend that the AOKP Team has finally released Milestone 2 of their 4.2.2 rom and it now includes all the GS4 variants.
I was wondering when someone might be posting about how it's working for them.

AOKP team is on rootzwiki. BMC is the official maintainer who is also on rootz primarily. The thread last I checked was under unofficial ports under the team section. It may have moved to official since I last checked. I stopped crack flashing everything when I actually released my 2 projects, been too busy to crack flash

I mentioned it simply because I saw the Android Police article. And yes, it has moved into the official line up of supported devices as of 7/21. I understand the AOKP home is rootzwiki but thought it should be mentioned here with all the rest of other ROMs being developed.
Thanks!

Im curious on this as well as I saw the news today on it. I was waiting on CM to produce a stable version, but say this and thought it might be something to use in the mean time. Anyone have any experience with it?

Apparently it's available on goo?
However it says mr1 milestone-2. No dates. Is this it?

Turns out this is milestone 2. Annoying thing is the 4g icon on themes don't really stick.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

Anyone else test this out .... would love to hear more feedback.

Why are so many people timid when it comes to installing ROMs?
Backup and flash. If you don't like it flash back. Easy peasy

Go to the rootzwiki thread, look for BMc's 7/14 build. Has working IR blaster. It isn't officially supported, so it's not in the milestone. Nothing is noticeably different between his 7/14 and the official milestone.

Active Dev for CM7?

Anybody know if someone is actively working on CM7 for the thunderbolt?
I don't think so. They are working on CM9. I wish they would update it. But they won't.

Slayher was, but I think he just got a galaxy nexus so i'm not sure if he still is.

I think ProTekk has switched to another phone also... His repo doesn't have a successful build currently (He said he's in the process of fixing it). I tried messaging him on facebook but I haven't received a reply yet.
Active on CM9?
I've heard it mentioned that CM9 will be supported and that active dev. is ongoing right now, but I can't find anything official about that. Anyone have a link?
Workshed posted an updated version of CM7 on Rootzwiki a couple days ago. If you remember him from the Droid Eris, he great at keeping his roms updated.

[Q] Any plan for official AOKP?

I am not trying to be rude, but curious about it. When can I expect AOKP officially support AT&T SGSII? Probably I9100 has to be first officially supported by AOKP, then AT&T version will be supported next.
I know task650 keeps very wonderful AOKP rom. But one feature I miss from official version is keeping old ones. I think task650 updates about every two days, and it is hard to follow his every move.
Love you task650.
You'll know just by following the thread. Task will most likely know first before we would.

Nah
AT&T version means all the bloatware included. AT&T is working on a ICS version for our phones, however the guy they hired to do it has probably never touched a phone before and is the only one working on - hence the reason it is taking so long to get released. They are more worried about new phones then old ones, and this will always be the case.
I also don't think AT&T will ever release a Vanilla build of Android for any phone. Heck even look at the Nexus, even that had some AT&T stuff in it.
I'm pretty sure that the OP meant that he wishes the i777 was officially supported by the AOKP team on their website, which has nothing to do with AT&T.
That said:
1. No one knows when if/when it will be officially supported. I think the AOKP team would need to own the phone first. Regardless, I think Task does a way better job maintaining his build, fixing issues faster than the AOKP team.
2. If you need an archive of older versions, just go to Task's repository: http://goo.im/devs/task650/aokp/i777
I don't believe the AOKP team will ever support the SGS2. If they want to, they already would. Right now, task's AOKP is an official.
Yeah I'd have to agree. Tasks version will be as official as it gets. I won't complain!
I <3 task. No homo.

You got my question right. I used a word "AT&T" to differentiate from international SGSII. Thanks for the link, sort of things I wanted. I just want Task to make a some reference stable version, such as Milestone used in AOKP.

Yes, but he doesn't support them. I think what he's wishing for is a datum build, a build that it is kosher(or even expected) for people to continue using after newer builds are released. Such a milestone build would be supported until the next milestone is released.
This isn't how Task operates though, and it's his rom, his rules. To him every build is a milestone build.

Exactly lol and it shouldn't be an issue unless you're having a problem

Every build is stable. There are really no major issues or Task wouldn't release it. Minor bugs always are gonna exist. So pick the latest release ans just stick with it for a while. Bam. Stable release. ;-) on a side note old releases are unsupported so if u have a question and yer on an old release it won't be addressed.

Half of these posts are not even on what the OP asked.
Task basically makes it official for our device, it probably won't come our way in another form.
This has nothing to do with AT&T or Samsung firmware for future posts.

I agree. This has been answered to the best of our ability. Frankly, we just dont know if there will ever be any "official" AOKP for our device... but Task is doing a damn fine job giving us as close as we can get.

CM10.1 download for Fascinate?

I believe it's posted here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=nightly&device=fascinatemtd
All of the downloads say CM10. I don't see any CM10.1. Yet in some other threads I see people using CM10 4.2. Anyone know if it was upgraded in a regular CM10 nightly, and if so starting with which one?

I'm pretty sure they aren't merged. There are only preview builds (i think) out there right now for the Fascinate. Nothing official.

there isn't any 10.1 for fascinate the bbq thing he saw is actually for galaxysmtd. there is how ever a 4.2.1 unofficial build which was pretty good for an alpha build but i went back to regular nightlys because allot of games and apps don't run on it yet namely navagon maps etc also im trying to decompile the mms.apk like on 4.1.2 to receive full mms pics
i maybe wrong but thats what i saw so far.have a great day.
There is a unofficial build for 10.1 for fascinate on wikirootz. Jr is supporting the thread. But as of now we are not officially on the nightly list for 10.1. Check out the roots thread. Jt just dropped a update yesterday.

Re: Amaze ROM's (January 2013)
Read the threads... If anyone tried them... They probably commented in the thread. Backup and try yourself. Best way to see if a ROM is best for you. These types of threads are frowned upon.

Which CM10 build specifically are you on?
I'm quite discouraged. Finally got around to rooting my device, and a pile of the ROMs look like they're not being updated anymore. A lot of the "this is a master thread for XXX" threads haven't been updated in months either. The "ROM Bible" has old and outdated ROMs. The AMAZing Wiki doesn't have a ROM update in 4 months. Revolution HD's download links have been messed up for the past 3 days, and the latest ROM update is 6 months old. EnergyROM last update was 5 months ago, and the author has stated that he's out of doing ROMs. CM doesn't have a stable release yet. I guess you're just using the nightlies?

Here you go:
http://goo.im/devs/Sportsstar89/Ruby/CM10
Actually I don't think this thread is inappropriate at all.
If there was a lot of recent activity, or another recently updated thread then that would be one thing. But all I've seen are old and outdated threads. The "bible" is 4 months out of date, and missing 3/4 of the ROMs out there. Even the "All you need thread (updated every 1-3 days)" hasn't been updated in 8 months.
There is no current thread that I can find listing updated and recent ROM reviews.
EDIT: Please don't misunderstand, I'm not being impatient or trying to be rude, merely mentioning that a thread highlighting current ROMs and information as of Jan/2013 may not be a bad thing since most other sources seem to be dry.

It does seem that way. However, CM10 nightly has been totally it awesome. Once it's stable enough I believe we will get paranoidandroid, AOKP MIUI etc. Most of the other ROMs are Sense-based. It may seem like development for Ruby has been left for dead, but trust me the ROMs coming out will totally kickass.
I just tried 10.1 and it seems pretty neat, but WiFi and Camera both seem to be missing. Honestly I'm more concerned about having something stable and fully featured than latest. Is it better to stick with 10.0 nightly then?

[Q] Has Verizon S4 Dev Dried Up?

It's been awhile since I've been actively engaged in this forum, and coming back it seems like nothing is new. In general: no new ROMs, no updates for the existing ones, no 4.3, so new CM 10.2 nightly since 10/7...am I missing something?

Beans just released build 7 if touchwiz is your flavor nitro's touchwiz ROM is rock solid though it's been a month. Hyperdrive is great Beanstalk is 4.3 and is sweet. Update just a few days ago.vanir is available and is also great. The PAC night lies are rolling and there is an excellent kanged aokp ROM updated pretty regular. Still active. Just not something new everyday. Outside of the roms releasing nightlies. I say it is still very active. Its not the Nexus forums by any means but I like my options. Sure I'd like more. Who doesn't.

I'd like to think so but I haven't really seen anything promising in a while. Seen a post some time back that eluded the devs who could crack this might have been turned off by the s4 community. I hope not. But if hashcode gets kexec cracked safe strap seems like an ideal work around.
